This video shows you why we believe steel plates made from AR500 steel aren't as safe as you might think. Sure, they stop a bullet when shot straight-on, but watch what happens to various plates when they are shot at a 20 degree angle. That's a similar angle to what you would expect if you have a slight beer belly. A chest shot with a steel plate will ricochet up into your skull. That's why we don't offer steel plates at BulletSafe.com. They just aren't safe enough for us to sell.
