the biggest things in SMM2 that break lots of things in this level is that you can't pick things up while spin jumping and when something is thrown at a wall, it falls straight down instead of ricocheting off
The funny thing is that when I used to play smm1 I thought that the spike hotboxes were unforgiving until I played smm2 where if you are in the same galaxy as a spike block you will die
As a Mario Maker fan and Nintendo fan, this is easily one of the top moments in Mario's history. Just one shell jump the average player can't pull off, but most of this crap... I almost died when I saw a triple P-switch jump (I can barely do one), I did not know that was possible. The bomb surfing and Yoshi mechanics were also just amazing. Insane, Chain Chomp Brayden.
All the P switch jumps are basically frame perfect . The bit at 9:45 is 3 frame perfect jumps back to back, and having to do them at certain frames Absolutely wild level
that's not the hard part at all. p switch jumps have a surprising amount of leniency, and it's obvious when you have to time your jumps to. the real hard part of that trick is the timing of the grabs and throws since there's no obvious cues and it has about 6 inputs each with a smaller window than p switch jump's
Definitely one of the hardest levels I’ve seen. First rule of any historic accomplishment consideration: Explore the massive gaming world and know the infamous history of something specific that stands out Second rule of any historic accomplishment consideration: Consider WHEN it was first beaten legit, and account how much effort it took just for that challenge alone.
and also how good the player is, very important and in this case it's a top tier Mario player, so this level took this long for a very skilled player basically the hardest level ever
Geometry Dash probably has harder impossible levels but this game has much harder achievements, like Acheron is so much easier than this level, imagine Zoink trying to complete a level and it took him 7 years (Tidal Wave took 2 months and is a lot harder than Acheron)
I'd in terms of Geometry Dash, CorroZ would be similar difficulty to that Mario level. Right now it's considered impossible by top players. For Tidal Wave, for a newbie who hasn't even beaten Stereo Madness it would take about 1000 hours to beat according to my calculations, it took Vision 800,000 Attempts to beat Silent Clubstep and I think his hardest was like Black Blizzard or something? Tidal Wave is like way way harder than Silent Clubstep. Aeden is probably the best comparison in terms of a player who is very similar to that mario guy, he is doing Azure Flare which is way harder than Tidal Wave, he has 46% and 700,000+ Attempts, people are doubting that he will ever beat it, hopefully one day he will. It's very difficult to explain why Azure Flare is so much more difficult, but it is, even Zoink said "that level is like impossible" on stream when asked about it and his friends said it's harder than unnerfed Silent Clubstep which Zoink agreed with, that was when he was streaming Tidal Wave.
@@ewetwentythree With GD, levels may seem not that hard cause the time it took to beat. People need to consider the amount of time spent in the game playing, every second and level matters, except for Lucky Draw. A new player would have definitely taken years to beat Tidal Wave. But I agree to a certain extent, the Mario level is definitely way harder than Tidal Wave, but not more than 3x rimes or 2,5 times.
There’s definitely speedruns with more time put into them but like 4,300 hours on one level That’s not the hardest Mario maker level, that’s the hardest single *challenge* ever done in gaming

@@iRWQFSFASXCi I know paradise plaza and trimming the hedges from keeping up with team 0% but for the most part I stick to my comfort zone, Celeste! I'll never understand why they would do that and take away some of the best things for creators who create kaizo levels
Not to mention trump jumps (jumps between spikes) are far more lenient in MM1 whereas they are pixel perfect in MM2.

As far as I'm aware, the game mechanics changed is smm2 so it can't be ported or it would break the level.
