I live in Paris. The AK550 is the most stolen maxiscooter after the TMax. Also a lot of the AKs get their Brembos stolen to retrofit other bikes with bespoke brackets. People here have a joke that if ur Brembos get stolen, go check out those who ride a Tmax that have aftermarket brembos on them )
It is a motorcycle. No shifting. So much a pleasure to ride. I’ve owned 5 shifting motorcycles in the past, all the way up to a 1200cc. The AK550 is the most comfortable and enjoyable to ride.
