@@RiderGuy Yes, HF-164 is the stock Hiflo filter and KN-164 is the KN version. But KN makes the Hiflo filter also, so they're the same filter basically. Whatever you prefer.
I have enjoyed your videos. It sounds like you really like your kymco. Currently riding a yamaha xmax 300. That was an upgrade from a honda adv 150. I guess I'm a scooter fan. Thinking of upgrading to an AK 550 next summer. I have a question about those two filter screens/tubes. Were they in the holes where the drain plugs came out of?
Nice! Yamaha Xmax are great scooters as well. The Kymco Ak is more motorcycle than scooter but easy to ride! 😝. Yes, those filter tubes actually sit inside the drain plugs, they sort of click in and just put them in with the plug and tighten!
$284 for oil change WTF!!! You need hf164 from k&n works for filter at O'Reilly then you need jaso m2 oil wet clutch or equivalent. I found a mobil oil 946ml for around $10 at Walmart overall oil change if you have a couple of wrench at homes should cost you $50
Trying to change the oil on mine right now. I wish you had shown the actual process of removing and loosening the shroud. I can't the oil filter off! Argh!
This looks like a 22 and youre obviously in the US. Do you know which exhaust fits this model? I just assumed any from previous model years, but then ran into another vid from mivv where a mivv rep stated at least one doesn't fit on this current year.
I can't say for certain, I believe any slip on exhaust would fit no problem regardless of year. I wanted a full system Mivv exhaust but when I contacted them they said it wouldn't work for 2022.
@@Kahuna_550 man same. They can't confirm if the slip on fits or not. And the only ones I can find are shipping from Italy, Spain, or elsewhere in Europe. If you wanna take one for the team and see if it does fit, let me know 😅
@@Kahuna_550 so the important thing for the exhaust from what I understood is the sensor next to the silencer if you have one it means the scoot is euro 4 no matter what year and older exhaust will fit if you don't have the sensor next to the silencer but two right next to cylinder then you have a euro5 and then the mivv won't work. From my research I believe even if you have a 2022 in the us we are still in euro4 so you should be good.
@@Kahuna_550 in my opinion yes. I live in the US but I'm french and maxi scoot are extremely present in France so I asked my friends who have different version to tell me the difference and that's what if figured out. I am planning to order a mivv speed edge and I have a ak 2022 with sensor next to the silencer which would mean euro4 (compatible)....but it's my own understanding because like you mivv Don't know what's going with kymco version. I don't think it would be compatible with the really new version 2023 ak550 st (with sliding windshield and shit) I believe this one is euro 5
Very nice video and straight to the point. I need to do my own oil change next time
Thanks man! You can do it, super easy!
@@Kahuna_550 thanks for the confidence and also for commenting on my channel. I am guessing the hp 164 is the OEM

Thanks a lot, buddy! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Most important question of them all, How do you reset/turn off service light after oil change?
Click over to your Oil mileage and hold the orange button until it resets.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you

Everything I got is from O'Reilly. Should be at any auto parts store.

Take the @#$@# thing down to the garage and let the mechanic mess with all this.
Mechanic would probably know less than I do, this is easy work.
