  • Prior to Charlie’s ADHD diagnosis, our marriage went through a lot of unnecessary struggles. Without knowing he had ADHD, he felt like he was constantly letting me down when it came to the house and the kids, and I felt like I had an inconsiderate partner. Getting his ADHD diagnosis had transformed our marriage. Charlie has learned skills for managing his ADHD, and I have learned how to navigate his ADHD without getting frustrated or feeling let down. It is SO important for neurotypical partners of ADHDers to learn about and understand the inner world of a person with ADHD. It changes everything when you finally understand.

I could totally relate to everything discussed. Was diagnosed with adhd and ocd with intrusive thoughts at the age of 46 so anytime the two of you talked about your symptoms, I could totally relate. For me it's a vicious cycle where the anxiety feeds the adhd and the adhd symptoms then fed my anxiety and depression. And the decades of trying every depression med out there! Oye! And no one suggested adhd until I met the right psychiatrist and after only a couple of sessions, her diagnosis opened up a world of understanding as I learned about these conditions. It totally explained my entire life. Knowledge makes a huge difference. Thanks for trying to educate the public and offering yourselves as people to relate to! ❤

I wish more people would talk about late diagnosis of ADHD and marriage.

what a beautiful conversation...so respectful and supportive and considerate of one another as both individuals as as a couple. I truly found this wonderfully inspiring and informative. Thank you for sharing such profound experiences of true life that many of us deal with everyday but they become dismissed and never understood at all. I loved the topics and the way you gave time to various elements of the topic. You are a remarkable and beautiful couple. Best wishes to you both in your 2024 projects.

Myself and one of my kiddos have adhd.... it's gotten worse for both of us lately. He'll be 21 and I'm 48 not being dxd myself until I was 33... and it's made worse by stress. And I have started projects that stay out because of I put it away it'll never get done. But can't concentrate enough to do it. Ugh

That sounds so much like Charlie’s experience! I think it’s got to be so hard getting diagnosed later in life and spending a lifetime not being given skills and tools to help you navigate it. Sending you hugs!

I just found you on medium. I'm just learning about feminism and what it actually is and have found your articles very interesting. I was just wondering how you met your husband since you have an age gap relationship 39 and 54 according to one of your resent articles.

O Hayah, our Master, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth. You Who set Your splendour above the heavens (Psalm 8:1)! // SHLM & HaB (peace & love). The Name of the Creator is Hayah asher Hayah, as what He told Moshah (Exodus 3:14), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. There is a curse to the G-o-d name (Isaiah 65:11-12), preserved in the Hebrew Scriptures. All followers of the Messiah are to do the 7 appointed times (Leviticus 23), but no more animal sacrifices, following the Crucifixion of the Messiah. We are now of the order of MLK TSDQ (King, righteous), to Whom ABRaHM tithed. Ask the Messiah to be your personal Savior. He said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). ...for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Hayah (Romans 3:23). The wages for sin is death but the gift of ALaHYM is Everlasting Life through Messiah Yahushgh our Master (Romans 6:23). That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahushgh and believe in your heart that ALaHYM raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved (Romans 10:9). He Himself is an Atoning Offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world (1 John 2:2). The Messiah died on the cross, & Resurrected three days later (presenting Himself as First Fruits to the Father). Please ask Him to be your Savior. He is the ONLY way to Everlasting Life.

Edit: just found another video saying you reconciled! Praise Jesus for healing your marriage! Can’t wait to dig in to this topic!
