- This is a video I've been wanting to do for awhile now. In this video I show our favorite carriers for our cats and give some tips on how to get a cat used to a carrier.

Whenever we take our cats to the vet we'll leave the carriers out with treats in them for a few days so they can get use to it. Once they are in our SUV thats when the meowing starts we talk to them in a soft voice to let them know everything is ok. We even play the radio soft rock and this will soothe them anything to make it less stressful. 🤔😟🐈🐈🎶😌

@@lifewithmainecooncats Yeah the highway close to us has too many accidents and found out this one was a bad one. So when the power goes out I'm thankful I'm alive for you never know what just happened to someone else😟.

I have one of each however the hard one does not have a top opening and that's a great idea. Also your tips on getting them used to are very helpful. They are all so used to them even Albus already, you guys are awesome 😹❣️

What a coincidence! I was just thinking this morning about asking you if you trim your cats nails. And I got my answer immediately. 😆 I have 2 cats, should I have 2 carriers? im thinking about this question too as your talking about the carriers, should I have a extra one, Something tells me I should go buy another one. Could you please make a video of grooming your cat, essential equipment and your technique of giving them sanitary trims? I think it would make such a valuable video, particularly as nowadays many of us want to limit unnecessary outside expeditions. Thank you so much!

Judging by Amazon reviews for the Sherpa carriers, the quality seems to have gone down. According to one reviewer, the new Sherpa is nothing like the one they purchased years ago. According to another, their cat clawed it’s way out through the wire mesh. Not even sure why they put a fabric mesh where claws can come out. Would be better to use a fine wire, or flexible plastic windows with air holes reinforced by metal rings. Thank you for the review. But Sherpa doesn’t seem to be worth the price anymore.

@@lifewithmainecooncats You’re welcome. It’s disappointing when manufacturers lower their standards to save a few bucks. It may seem to them they’re saving money. But due to online purchasing and being able to review everything, people have been made aware of the pros and cons of every product out there.
Manufacturers should realise this and that they’re setting themselves up for losses in the long run.

Our 2yr old female Coonie mix Pepper, REFUSES to let me trim her claws! She bites with purpose after multiple warnings! Her adorable high pitcher meow turns into a deep growl! Then she’ll latch on with all 20 of her claws and use her 16 pounds to squirm around and get away! Meanwhile, her brother Ziggy will just lay there and let me take my time doing them LOL.
I can only clip my Maine Coons claws when he’s sleeping 😂
