Beach cruiser, "80" engine, High Compression Head, Tuned Pipe. Longer Intake, 2 intake manifolds bolted together w/ gasket, NT Carb with a #67 Jet. I tune these engines just like I would for a chainsaw, trimmer or a back pak blower. I found most important for these engines is to simply WARM THEM UP. 10 minutes at high idle, then idle down to "comfortable" idle. If you really listen to the engine running when it's running rich, popping, when it's running in 2 cycle it will smooth and with good power.

I would get a set of them BBR 12g rims with disk brakes and mount the sprocket to the disk mount and still use the caliper rim brake you'll need a different sprocket though unless you want to drill it out nice build man
@ColdStartGarage I would say if you're just riding on street and not pushing crazy power yes the Gemini rims are awesome but overkill in my opinion unless you race or have really bad terrain

Assorted Zip ties worked for me.Yet mine was a Schwann beach cruiser , when I go finished with it looked like a WWII motor bike. Just a thought and it works Double side tap for the tank is good also. Now i need a trailer , to hall my tools to fix it and a side car for my dog! Loved the VID keep it up.
I just bought this same bike (gray) yesterday and have a Firestorm Zeda 80 coming Friday. This will be my first build. I actually got this bike because of the fenders. LOL. Going to be building mine in 100 degree weather (Arizona). Your video gave me some good info. Like mounting the gas tank and engine on this frame. I never though about the double bar being a problem for the rear gas tank mount. Thanks! Oh, and the double cable brake lever too.
Be careful with fenders. Obviously you know they look great….. but looks can kill! There are way better options out there for brakes. I just had to get it moving

Hey man I used a cup that u get with kids cough syrup and I just rubbed the cup on cement until outside edge was smooth and u drill hole in bottom of cup for axle to go thru an put it over hub then put sprocket on andalso i drilled out sprocket on drill preS and I used 3/8-16 grade 8 bolts with nylock nuts wor great and bigeer bolts holds better
Did you check your axles? It’s been my experience with box store bikes that the bearing never have enough great and the bolts are too tight or too loose.

Most times the people who assemble them are paid by the piece so they have the incentive to pump out as many as they can. I’ve been watching a lot of videos and I don’t really see people checking out things like crank, wheel and headset bearings. Maybe they do but not on camera. Good video. I learned quite a bit.

I never tried the phantom 85. I have an avenger 85 that’s waiting for me to get off my a$$ and do something. Even if it’s wrong. I just got a replacement cylinder this week for the avenger. So stay tuned 🏁🏁🏁

@ColdStartGarage that's because the nt or bofang that comes with the kit only has one screw to adjust the idle. These have a lot more to tune. Mine runs pretty good but I'm going up one more size on the main jet
@ColdStartGarage I have so many spare parts it's crazy. I started out with the 66cc engines then I put the phantom 85 on my main bike and the yd100 on my spare. All the extra gaskets and rings and everything else I have won't fit the bigger engines
I made 2 extra brackets just like the ones that come with the tank and sandwiched them onto the top bar so Nut Bracket Top bar Bracket Nut That was it is just clamping onto the top bar instead of pulling on the studs in the tank 👌

Minarelli build isn’t what I would tell you to build for your first bike. There was a lot of work sourcing all the parts. There are full kits that will get you building without issues: If you have patients go for it. But there are a ton of other options that are complete builds in one box. I would not call this version of minarelli a high end upgrade. But I get what you are saying. I’m still trying to keep my content of the affordable range for me and the viewer 🤣 this build cost me 800 for every thing including the bike. But I like where your head is at 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
The way I feel about UA-cam… everything has been done before. But for me I don’t watch motor bicycle content. I experience it first hand, you the viewer watches me experience it first hand. I do get a lot of insight from my subscribers/commenters and I follow forums on Facebook so I know what’s out there. I would not identify as a motor bicycle channel exclusively… even though I do have a decent amount of it.

Putting a minarelli on a tent bicycle is a mistake you'll need to beef up all the spokes that works for China dolls a store-bought and bicycle but not for a minerali. I would never buy nothing but a minarelli those others are just a waste of money

It’s a very common issue with these. Sends a ton of people to the hospital and many to the grave yard. So I just avoid that risk

The leg burner is the pipe that comes up high instead of down low like the one I have. I don’t think it will require modifying. But I’m not sure 🤔

I put redkote gas tank liner in the tank. And went really easy on the install. This movie is broke down in chapters if you don’t have all the time
So far no gas leaked out…. But the tank is from China so time will tell

It does burnouts.. if you put it in the ketchup and dump the clutch. I don’t recommend it. It’s hard as hell on the machine

I do get a lot of insight from my subscribers/commenters and I follow forums on Facebook so I know what’s out there.
I would not identify as a motor bicycle channel exclusively… even though I do have a decent amount of it.

@timhulett5150ify hey. If I can film stuff and post it.. anyone can. Look at my old videos. My on screen personality sucked. It just takes a bit of practice. And if you already have the machines you have the content..
But if you feel like filming will get in the way of your passion and hobbies… that’s something else all together.

All normal ppl have clones of each motor they build as a back up motor and clones of the bike.... and maybe like 9 or 10 other motors... also frequently watches vise grip garage! They're just so damn fun and Derek is just so damn likable lol. Good shit keep it comin! DO AN LD100!
Putting a minarelli on a tent bicycle is a mistake you'll need to beef up all the spokes that works for China dolls a store-bought and bicycle but not for a minerali. I would never buy nothing but a minarelli those others are just a waste of money

Smfh. Weld the damn stinger back on the end of the expansion pipe. Wtf man. Wtf. Weld the ORIGIONAL STINGER back onto the pipe. Try not to change the angle too much unless you have to.
