What size clutch is that?

20mm
Ergonomics Killin me always on these bikes looks a very silly body position to be driving and not pelading ( thinking a solution for it )
Maybe put some forward foot pegs on the bike. I haven’t given it much thought honestly
That's the easiest brake job ever. You must not live in the rust belt. I'm jealous!
I’m deep in the rust belt. I just got lucky with this one car
Hey, remember me? I'm the guy whose life you saved by telling me about fenders on motorized bikes. Thanks again! I'm sure someone has already said it but, Stock carb has #70 jet. I ordered that same jet kit. Still waiting for it. I'm at 4500 feet and mine is running a little rich with the needle second notch down from top. Spark plug looks pretty good though. light brown. So I'm thinking #60 or #62. I'll test it with new plug to get a more accurate reading. Don't want the lean meanies eating my piston.
I get my machine to 4 stroke at full throttle then jet down. Bit of trial and error. But it super simple for me.
Replaced water pump unit, thermostat, sprayed water through water line, still won’t pee!! Onto the carbs, see if it is causing overheating
Sometimes I feed a piece of copper in and try to break it up. And use some solvents.
personally i push the pistons all the way back with a screw driver using the disc for leverage before taking off the caliper
I wanted to get a good feel for it. But that will also work!
I like how you include the whole trial and error process in your video. It makes it more relatable to most of us that have gone through it lol. Its amazing how it always seems like its going to be easy to build but theres always unseen variables... Heres a tip that i recently learned that noticeably improved the timing of the motor and performance... Side gap the spark plug. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I definitely learned a couple thiñgs from your video that i will try out on my
Some people like my style and some people absolutely hate it. I am not a how to channel. I’m just a guy who like to record stuff in my shop or driveway I really appreciate your kind words! Thanks for the view and the comment. It was a joy to read. 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
hello all anymore know who go Max is
Who’s that
Love to see the paint trick, that's how i always do it no need to count, unfortunately in my experience even if it looks spot on when i put it on the alignment rack it ends up far enough off to cause uneven tire wear, so your definitely not gonna have handling problems but you could definitely still have uneven wear. But honestly ive done the same shit on my car and just eyeballed it who has time to align there owm car lol
We gotta try anyways right?
Від мітки фарбою жодної користі. На стенд для регулювання їхати всеодно.
It’s called a track rod end
Or outer tie rod. Rockauto didn’t call it that per their nomenclature. Thanks for the comment 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
Beats walking!
Eventually you’ll need to replace the shift cable
I did. Later when it finally broke. 300 dollar part
Hey bud it's pretty cool what you doing I appreciate it but the best thing you could do delete that attention to the chain tensioner delete it because of that fails there goes your hole rims going to eat your spokes I deleted my attention or I have my change direct to run so much better and so much more power to go so much faster you can only do that though if you if you have your rear sprocket very true
Sir that is NOT an nt. Its a bofeng. Your in gòod company. Lol
Also 4 stroke bcuz rich.
Ya… that’s why I jetted down
@@ColdStartGarage lol good job I just sripped a head bolt and used so much loctite red that you'd have thought I dumped a qrt of tranny fluid on it lol no judgement here bud.
The music it great on the test drive but the triple bass kinda over powers the 4 stroking! Congratulation's on the jetting! Sounds like You goter whipped! Now we gota talk old Peg into building one!👍🤣
One of my earlier videos I met peg leg a couple years back when he was in the states 🤘🏻🏁🏁
@@ColdStartGarage Thats awesome! I am new to the channel so I have a lot of Your vidjas to get caught up on! Thanks for the reply! 👍
yall are a hoot!
We are something alright 🤣🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
Thats a really sweet little bike! I can relate to all the finger fkery you have to go through to get these little motors to run mint. They have been playing with me sense I was a little kid and I am 65 now and they still won't go away! I always use a fender but I make mine out of 16 gauge metal and weld them to the frame works Mint! After break in run 100 octane fuel with Blendsall (green label) 2 stroke racing oil. Smells like Heaven! The aroma is amazing! It will make the whole neighborhood smell like a 4 of July barbecue down by the river! The best part about these motors is the Zero Carbon FootPrint! Its keeps a smile on Greta's face! I cant wait to see how this bike runs after You get it jetted in! Keep up the great vidjas and never worry aboot the load Music or Carbon FootPrint!💯👍
Hell ya! Thanks for this epic comment.
Try putting an O-ring in
My second video I figured out my issue. My spacer plate was on up side down
I just bought this same bike (gray) yesterday and have a Firestorm Zeda 80 coming Friday. This will be my first build. I actually got this bike because of the fenders. LOL. Going to be building mine in 100 degree weather (Arizona). Your video gave me some good info. Like mounting the gas tank and engine on this frame. I never though about the double bar being a problem for the rear gas tank mount. Thanks! Oh, and the double cable brake lever too.
Be careful with fenders. Obviously you know they look great….. but looks can kill! There are way better options out there for brakes. I just had to get it moving
@@ColdStartGarage So I assume the fenders have caught the tire in the past?
It’s a very common issue with these. Sends a ton of people to the hospital and many to the grave yard. So I just avoid that risk
@@ColdStartGarage I found this video on how to reinforce the fenders to keep them safe. ua-cam.com/video/H5r6p4OD1HY/v-deo.html. I'm going to do this today and see.
actual backyard mechanic!! looks like me when i work on my husqvarna ...
Yup. I am not a how to channel. I hope people understand that by now 🤣
With the silencer it will give back a little more power Rpm.. example a pick up when there is no longer enough restriction (muffler too short or too big for nothing) the pick up will make noise rpm goes up Faster BUT when you go up a hill you'll have a hard time making it go up in speed but the rpm will be high BUT won't be any worse either
Thanks for your insight
which pipe you talking about "leg burner 9000"? and would it require 100 modding?
The leg burner is the pipe that comes up high instead of down low like the one I have. I don’t think it will require modifying. But I’m not sure 🤔
Hey man I used a cup that u get with kids cough syrup and I just rubbed the cup on cement until outside edge was smooth and u drill hole in bottom of cup for axle to go thru an put it over hub then put sprocket on andalso i drilled out sprocket on drill preS and I used 3/8-16 grade 8 bolts with nylock nuts wor great and bigeer bolts holds better
atrocious would be putting it nicely
how big is the piston in that Minarelli?
At this point in time I don’t recall. It was purchased CMB. The info may be on the website still
Can you post a link where you got these?
The link is in the description. Thanks for watching
The Vice Grip Garage of Bikes.
If I had 1%of his talent I’d be successful 🤣 but I’m happy to be just doing what I do
Will an o-ring last?
Yes it will. These machines come with em. I just happed to lose mine when I was assembling
@@ColdStartGarage ah, thanks. I will pick up one today.
If it works then it wasn’t a bad idea
500 ?
It’s a 400 twin.
Good job without paying 150 a hr shop rate
Cost 24 dollars for materials.. 11 of that was for the quart of transmission fluid.
You guys interested in the full formed content? From the boxes to the Streets?
Strong work!
Yer gonna want all she got on ol girl.
i live in the east too
did you move the clip on the jet needle? i could tell it needed more gas
In this video the spacer plate is upside down🤣
how much was the bike? i may get one if it wasn't a great deal of money
It was around 200 just for the frame. Which is not a steel frame. The whole build was around 800
Wow, i cant believe someone this bad makes videos like this. I feel bad for the people watching this to try and learn something. I couldn't make it past the carburetor without fast fwd 10 times 🤦♂️
🤣I’m monetized as well! 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
I’m not a how to channel anyways. But I’m having fun.
Can't wait to see it done!
Check my full form content. The DirtyKart video is and has been done.
Been riding china dolls for 25 years motorcycles 50 years , you have poor brakes on that bike, those side pulls are useless, v brakes are best, use 90s chromoly mtn bike frames, you dont need to take left side clutch arm cover off to install chain just feed it in from the top slowly, your too rich on mixture. I have a bike with minereli engine bike and powerband is at top rpm for racing ok but regular riding not so good and its a kick start w auto clutch. I watched you ride it and it has the similar top end power band and a manual clutch. The original morini engines were kick start and auto clutch looks like your main jet might need to be bigger. The old days we would get micro drill set and find the drill that fits then drill it out next size or solder it and drill out smaller. Also the stock gas filter does no flow enough. Thanks for the video the ports on the engine are huge. The stock tanks 5 mm bolts leak fuel and you have to clean tank with water many times and then braze them back with cap and petcock taken off. sometimes and I weld flat bar on the frame so the tank doesnt flip.
Idk if this helps anyone else but I was able to unclog mine by pushing the air muffs tight while the water is running through it
I tried that. Mud bees plugged it right up!
The open pipe does give you a few more miles per hour
Thanks for making mistakes so I don’t have to. Seriously, I’m taking away a lot from your videos.
Let me show you what not to do. Thats a great lesson if you are willing to watch. Thanks for your kind words 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
I do enjoy your videos and it's abit of entertaining and knowledgeable at the same time which I enjoy Thankyou for what you do
Thanks for your kind words
Hows this motor on fuel? About how many gallons for an outing? Thanks, jlo
I don’t have that data. But if you keep it out of the ketchup a 6 gallon tank will do just fine and have left overs after 3 hrs. I sold the rig the year after due to space. What a gem that Lund was/is
Likes and subscribed bro.
Thank you! Welcome to the fun
Did you check your axles? It’s been my experience with box store bikes that the bearing never have enough great and the bolts are too tight or too loose.
This machine darkstar… I have not had the opportunity to work out any issues or discover anything yet. But I promise I will. Motorcycle is “done” so I’ll just have to edit that video then I can start back at motorbicycle videos asap. Busy week here at Coldstart house. Prepping for Memorial Day festivities for the family. Time is hard to come by right this second 🤘🏻🏁🏁🏁
@@ColdStartGarage I asked because used to work in a bike shop and have seen some really dangerous things with box store bikes. Most times the people who assemble them are paid by the piece so they have the incentive to pump out as many as they can. I’ve been watching a lot of videos and I don’t really see people checking out things like crank, wheel and headset bearings. Maybe they do but not on camera. Good video. I learned quite a bit.
Is the extra money you spend on all the other stuff worth it? I’m in the R&D phase of building my first bike.
Can you expand on that question. What extra stuff are you implying?
@@ColdStartGarage By “extra” stuff I mean buying a complete kit vs piecing it together like you did. I guess I kinda answered my own question because at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
Minarelli build isn’t what I would tell you to build for your first bike. There was a lot of work sourcing all the parts. There are full kits that will get you building without issues: If you have patients go for it. But there are a ton of other options that are complete builds in one box. Good luck on your adventures 🏁🏁🏁
@@ColdStartGarage I’ve been looking at the Phatmoto builds and they are pretty reasonably priced right now. But I do like the idea of building my own and getting it dialed in.
I need this diesel engine because my dream since I was little was to make a motorbike with a diesel engine, pray for me, friend
