😂😂 GREAT work!! Thanks for taking the time to model the world's greatest single so beautifully. 😁

Hey, I'm curious about the PC12's ITT performance during climb, please - it's different from other turboprops I have flown in sims. I get what I expect until I reach ITT limit - adjust power lever up to TRQ limit until reaching ITT limit in the climb; but then ITT keeps climbing and I have to start REDUCING thrust....considerably! This is a bit opposite of what I've seen where ITT remains stable and TRQ drops off on it's own (King Air, TBM, Caravan...). Could you please clarify if that's accurate? Thanks. Your videos have been quite helpful.

Thanks! Yes, this is realistic ITT behavior. In turboprops, you "torque out" at lower altitudes (torque limit is reached before ITT limit), and you "temp out" at higher altitudes (ITT limit is reached before torque limit). Another way of thinking of this is that torque limitations are primary at lower altitudes, and temp limits are primary at higher altitudes. Torque decreases as air density decreases during climb, so you must keep increasing power to maintain your climb thrust setting. ITT increases with altitude as the air becomes less dense, so you'll eventually have to reduce power during the climb so as not to exceed ITT limitations. What this looks like is a series of power nudge-ups for the first half of the climb followed by nudge-downs for the last half of the climb. Cheers!

@@GeneStuart awesome thank you very much! That's why I don't always fully trust what a sim tells me.

I think I read that the prop not being feathered when you first load the plane is just some odd MSFS bug that happens with all turboprops. So basically they have to have it coded where it loads in that way and then will slowly transition to feathered. Excited to get your take on how this one flies!

Interesting. At least the gradual transition to feathered is incorporated. Looking forward to flying this one soon!

I don’t believe the BBS Shorts planes have this issue. They always spawn feathered for me.

great video, thank you. I still see in the background the really ridiculous tall hangars, this occurs throughout MSFS and are obnoxious. In reality they are 1/3 this height and the algorithm used is based off a poor ratio. I noticed this the years ago, it was stated during one of the dev videos and simply blown off. I am truly dumbfounded by the lack of support and even other simmers lack of observation on this - blows me away.

Space shuttle hangars. 😅 Thanks for watching!

    Hi Gene.
Thank you for giving us your real world insight into this wonderful aircraft. SWS are currently working on a bug fix for the AP and should be released next week.
Love flying this plane. The latest update has addressed a few issues. Would love to see a video from you on this like your Carenado ones.
    Many thanks.Fly safe.

hi, in MSFS there is no way to click from the outside camera view but on this addon they did a workaround, simply open your checklists in your cockpit view an search for external light check, than click on the eye on the right side. your camera will move outside on the left wing, now you can move around with your camera movement. for ease of use simply rebind them to WASD for forward backward left and right and leave arrow key up an down for camera up-down. now you can move around your bird and open stuff. be aware that you can click also on stuff inside your cockpit while doing a walk an pop for example some CB 😊😅

And with this in mind, move to hell hole and open it aswell. Check the breakers and internals.

This is completely untrue. A2A has done this with their Comanche 250. You can do a complete external walk around while touching the aircraft to check the tanks, oil, and stall warning flapper, among other things. So don't say things that are not true.

Hi Gene, just found your channel this past weekend, almost halfway through your vid list. Great stuff, informative. You mentioned your previous plane was a 208. How did you get that job(what was the mission) and how did you get the 12 job? Very interested, I’m working on a second career.

Awesome, thanks for watching! I was a flight instructor for quite a few years before I got into the Caravan. I flew freight for a UPS feeder in the Van before getting on with a Part 91 management company. There I flew the PC-12 and Citation Excel. I also spent some time at Kansas City Center as an air traffic controller. That's my journey in a nutshell. 😁

@@GeneStuart Cool Gene! I was a ZID controller! 32 years of ATC. Retired in 2021. 1100 hours of PIC and no one is calling me for a job. Still building time every day and waiting.

Great career! I still have many friends at ZKC. As for jobs, if you're not already I'd suggest joining this Facebook group: Corporate Aviation Job Listings. It's got 41,000 members and is one of the best ways to find jobs. @@kittenslapper
