We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.
    -
    THANK YOU ❗️

I'm French, and fricassée comes from the word frAcassée wich mean broken or in pieces. So in cooking it refers to pieces of meat and pieces of vegetables and spices cooked all together. Fricassée is usually a dish made with leftovers, but it now includes dishes made with fresh ingredients.

    March: General Tso's Chicken
    The sauce I make is:
    1/4 cup - Oyster Sauce
    1/4 cup - Shaoxing Wine
    3 TBS - Hoisin Sauce
    1/2 Cup - Soy sauce
    1 1/2 cups - Chicken broth
    1 1/4 - Cup sugar
    1/2 cup - White vinegar
    1/3 Cup - Sambal Olek
    3-4 - Green onions
    1 TBS - Sesame Oil
    1 TBS - Minced Garlic
    1 TBS - Minced Ginger
Made it for several pot luck type situations in the past and it's always gone in minutes.

    • @TheHighSorcerer
      @TheHighSorcerer 3 місяці тому +2

My brother or sister in cooking, let me tell you a secret about recipes: They're only intimidating until you do them. The complex ones will take longer, yes, but if you put some additional time aside to be patient with yourself while you're cooking, all you need to do is make the recipe a few times to learn the process. You're not gonna go from home cook to pro chef overnight, and if you're ever worried about something going wrong just remember that even Gordon Ramsay occasionally burns toast. A multiple Michelin Star chef occasionally screws up the most basic thing, so don't be hard on yourself for making mistakes. You can do it, I believe in you. :)

    • @Lexielouwho
      @Lexielouwho 3 місяці тому +2

@@TheHighSorcerer that was a very nice comment. I didn't grow up with parents cooking or teaching for that matter so I've been on this journey on my own. Thank God for UA-cam because I am learning a lot. And thank you for such a an encouraging comment, it made me smile.

This one is for all y’all above. One thing I do, is to start at the end. So, first thing I do is set the table. Preheat the oven if needed. Get out all cooking utensils, pots, pan,s skillets, spoons, tongs, whathaveya, arrange on stove or conveniently placed nearby. Get out all ingredients and arrange on the counter in the order needed for the recipe. Do all the chopping. Then a quick check to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything. Doing all this will help prevent stress. Then and only then do I turn on the burner for the skillet. It’s just follow the recipe after that. Meals always come out better for me when I do this simple thing. Otherwise, I will get into time constraints and something will get overcooked or burnt. Cooking becomes stressful. @@Lexielouwho

March: Greetings! I was chef at a dive resort on a Caribbean Island off the coast of Honduras, and I came up with the greatest dessert ever. Easy...boy, so easy. As an aside, the National dish of Honduras is the Baleada, which is a flour tortilla, with a spread of refried beans, some crumbly cheese, and pickled onions. It's folded over, and served sort of like a quesadilla. There are variations, such as a breakfast Baleada, with scrambled eggs. Delish! Anyhoo, here's my Dessert S'more Baleada. Take a raw flour tortilla, place it on a hot griddle, heat one side for 30 seconds. Flip, and cover half of it with chocolate chips, add some crushed almonds (or other nuts) and cover that with mini marshmallows. Fold it in half, and cook it for a minute or two, flipping occasionally until it's got a nice golden color and everything is melted inside. Remove it from the griddle, and let it rest for about a minute. While it's resting get a bowl, put a scoop of your favorite ice cream (I like vanilla for this). Cut the baleada into four wedges, put them around the ice cream like flower petals and drizzle with chocolate or caramel syrup (or both!). Variations are endless and satisfaction is guaranteed! Love the show...been subbed since before you had 500K subs, and I almost never miss a show. Take care!

    March:
    Ingredients:
    Chicken:
Bone-in chicken (drumsticks and thighs work well)
    Yellow onions
Sweet Hungarian paprika (for that authentic flavor)
    Sour cream
    Chicken stock (for deeper flavor)
    Dumplings (Nokedli):
    6 eggs (beaten)
    4 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup water
    2 teaspoons salt
    Instructions:
    Flour the Chicken:
Remove the skin from the chicken pieces.
Dredge each piece in seasoned flour.
    Cook the Chicken:
Heat oil in a deep skillet.
Add sliced onions and cook until softened.
Add the floured chicken, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chicken stock.
Simmer until the chicken is tender.
    Prepare the Dumplings (Nokedli):
Boil water in a large pot.
Mix beaten eggs, flour, water, and salt to form a thick batter.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the boiling water.
Cook until the dumplings float to the surface.
    Serve:
Serve the tender chicken with the paprika-infused sauce, finished with sour cream.
    Top with the fluffy dumplings.
Enjoy this heartwarming dish that pays homage to Hungarian traditions and family memories! 🇭🇺❤

Thx to you Sam, I made the Chicken Fricassee yesterday for my poor sick wife - she really enjoyed it an felt instantly better.
Watching your vids (and the SOS's ) nearly since two year and we enjoyed many of your recipes, but that helped best!! Thx again.

I made it this evening and it turned out really well. That little bit of thyme was a good add.

I made this for the family tonight! Didn't even look at the recipe, just followed your video, Sam ... no leftovers. None! It was so delicious and so well enjoyed. I even broke down and bought the Sam Special Garlic Paste for the first time for this. Worked perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday dinner, my friend.

Not a lot of recipes lately that have really interested me. But this is one I’m definitely trying. Maybe even prep it with a stcg knife.
