We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Розваги
I'm French, and fricassée comes from the word frAcassée wich mean broken or in pieces. So in cooking it refers to pieces of meat and pieces of vegetables and spices cooked all together. Fricassée is usually a dish made with leftovers, but it now includes dishes made with fresh ingredients.
even this old cowboy knows its french. 🤠 ua-cam.com/video/TeIxDGG843I/v-deo.html
Love that you boys don't use unrealistic specialty ingredients in your recipes!
Ya know, that’s a very good point! I have been watching him for years and never really realized that’s one of the factors that makes making his dishes very easy!
You mean like sauteed onion bullion?
@@janus5423 easier than you may think to get. Look for “Better Than Bullion” sautéed onion bullion. Comes in small 8 oz jars. Usually 3 flavors, beef, chicken, and onion. Maybe they have vegetable as well. I think most major grocery stores will have it. If not you could improvise with Liptons onion soup mix, that’s what I’d do. Matter of fact I am trying this dish tonight!
They sell it at any major grocery store or Amazon
@@janus5423 you can literally get it at walmart for a few dollars
I love one-pan meals, even us non cooks have a shot at greatness.
We loved the simple way to make this! THANK YOU!
March: General Tso's Chicken
The sauce I make is:
1/4 cup - Oyster Sauce
1/4 cup - Shaoxing Wine
3 TBS - Hoisin Sauce
1/2 Cup - Soy sauce
1 1/2 cups - Chicken broth
1 1/4 - Cup sugar
1/2 cup - White vinegar
1/3 Cup - Sambal Olek
3-4 - Green onions
1 TBS - Sesame Oil
1 TBS - Minced Garlic
1 TBS - Minced Ginger
Made it for several pot luck type situations in the past and it's always gone in minutes.
And then I got introduced to Sambal Olek.. What a stellar ingredient, (condiment?)
I gotta admit, I watch your channel more for your humor than the recipe because I'm just learning and they usually intimidate me. This one I think I can do. Love your recipes, love your humor, you rock!
My brother or sister in cooking, let me tell you a secret about recipes: They're only intimidating until you do them. The complex ones will take longer, yes, but if you put some additional time aside to be patient with yourself while you're cooking, all you need to do is make the recipe a few times to learn the process. You're not gonna go from home cook to pro chef overnight, and if you're ever worried about something going wrong just remember that even Gordon Ramsay occasionally burns toast. A multiple Michelin Star chef occasionally screws up the most basic thing, so don't be hard on yourself for making mistakes. You can do it, I believe in you. :)
@@TheHighSorcerer that was a very nice comment. I didn't grow up with parents cooking or teaching for that matter so I've been on this journey on my own. Thank God for UA-cam because I am learning a lot. And thank you for such a an encouraging comment, it made me smile.
This one is for all y’all above. One thing I do, is to start at the end. So, first thing I do is set the table. Preheat the oven if needed. Get out all cooking utensils, pots, pan,s skillets, spoons, tongs, whathaveya, arrange on stove or conveniently placed nearby. Get out all ingredients and arrange on the counter in the order needed for the recipe. Do all the chopping. Then a quick check to make sure I haven’t forgotten anything. Doing all this will help prevent stress. Then and only then do I turn on the burner for the skillet. It’s just follow the recipe after that. Meals always come out better for me when I do this simple thing. Otherwise, I will get into time constraints and something will get overcooked or burnt. Cooking becomes stressful. @@Lexielouwho
Always love the one pan meals. Keep em comin!
Went ahead and made this for dinner tonight! Very delicious! Ty.
Sam and the Guys…My wife and I love your videos!!! You are part of our family at this point! Heck we rewatch some videos just to have a laugh and learn new recipes. Thanks for everything!! The cooking competition with the boys are really fun! Your Fans from upstate NY … Annie & Lenny
Personal question: I have seen you wipe your mouth with the whole roll of paper towels, but do you use the whole roll of toilet paper in the same fashion?
The way you do one thing, is the way you do everything…🧻
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do you not? 😅
don't get too personal😮
Great recipe! Will be trying that soon!! Thanks so much!!
That looks great and super easy!
“I don’t try to make things complicated,” he says. “I try to make it easy, big in taste, small in effort. Four, five ingredients, and I make it look pretty and I make it taste great, and I make something you would want to make yourself.”
Sam the Cooking Guy circa 2008
Are you trying to imply that this is a complicated recipe, because it isn't.
@@w.williams2694 Not at all. Just showing how awesomely consistent Sam has been with his techniques and ingredients no matter when or where he cooks!
@@w.williams2694 Where does one get sauteed onion bouillon? Seriously.
@@B1B904 sitting here thinking the same. i gotta try it
@@B1B904I think the Better than Boullion brand might have it. I swear I’ve seen it.
Sam, I dare you to cook a Middle Eastern dish, which is a breakfast meal that consists of boiled beans, then eggs are placed on it, an omelet, and it is eaten with naan bread. It is called baklaa with fat.
Don't you do this to anything Middle Eastern. Don't you dare.
Definitely trying this one.
I always love these one pan meals, so convenient. Chicken and sauce look incredible!
March.. "halfa scones".. 600 S.R.Flour.. 300 Sugar.. 150 Butter.. 2 Eggs.. 1 to 4 tbsp milk.. add flour, sugar and butter mix til looks like breadcrumbs, add eggs and milk mix til forms a sticky dough, using a desert spoon add generous blobs onto a buttered baking sheet cook at Gas mark 5/370° for 15 to 20 minutes. Smother in butter while still warm or allow to cool and add raspberry jam and Chantilly cream yummy 🤤😋
In Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, this is a classic recipe done by every grandmother. Might be done a little different but the same dish!🤣
Wow! That looks amazing! Thank you!
Definitely making this one!
March: Greetings! I was chef at a dive resort on a Caribbean Island off the coast of Honduras, and I came up with the greatest dessert ever. Easy...boy, so easy. As an aside, the National dish of Honduras is the Baleada, which is a flour tortilla, with a spread of refried beans, some crumbly cheese, and pickled onions. It's folded over, and served sort of like a quesadilla. There are variations, such as a breakfast Baleada, with scrambled eggs. Delish! Anyhoo, here's my Dessert S'more Baleada. Take a raw flour tortilla, place it on a hot griddle, heat one side for 30 seconds. Flip, and cover half of it with chocolate chips, add some crushed almonds (or other nuts) and cover that with mini marshmallows. Fold it in half, and cook it for a minute or two, flipping occasionally until it's got a nice golden color and everything is melted inside. Remove it from the griddle, and let it rest for about a minute. While it's resting get a bowl, put a scoop of your favorite ice cream (I like vanilla for this). Cut the baleada into four wedges, put them around the ice cream like flower petals and drizzle with chocolate or caramel syrup (or both!). Variations are endless and satisfaction is guaranteed! Love the show...been subbed since before you had 500K subs, and I almost never miss a show. Take care!
We, in Alabama, are very proud of our accent. One of the things that make us proud is that any time anyone in the world wants to make fun of it, it is ALWAYS Alabama. Not Georgia, not Mississippi, not Tennessee. Even though it is basically the same accent. That makes us, NUMBER ONE IN THE SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE, ONCE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make fun all you want!
Here here! Greetin's from Trussville!
Its in the past. New coach and you wont smell a natty for decades. Here come the VOLS
Well said!!! Cheers from Wetumpka, Al.
Your videos are getting me through the week!
This looks delicious! And oh so easy!
Hey, I actually like your Canadian, San Diegan Accent...
March: “Chicken Jack”
1 rotisserie chicken(or 2-4 boiled chicken breasts), cut into bite size pieces. Spread on the bottom greased 9x13 pan.
1 10.5oz can cream of chicken
1 8oz can chicken broth
Dilute the cream of chicken with 1/2 - 3/4th of the chicken broth, you want a gravy consistency, not too runny. Pour gravy on over chicken.
1 large bag of Monterey Jack cheese. Spread a layer of cheese over the chicken and gravy.
Prepare 1 box of stove top stuffing for chicken and spread over layer of cheese.
Bake in over at 350f for 30-45mins(stuffing should be golden brown and crusty.
ICK. Everything in your "recipe" is processed food. That's gross!!!
I really enjoy your recipes. I’m looking forward to trying this one.
We made this tonight and it was spectacular. Thank you for these kinds of recipes Sam! Your recipes are always a hit in our house.
I need a knife so I can free myself from my restraints due to me currently being held captive at a windowless shack in the woods
😅
1 pan good idea, wonder if Crockpot possible
Definitely Not
@@edterryberry255if u try hard enough it can be
@@OakLeafs30 maybe you can store the leftovers in the crockpot ceramic and put it in the fridge for reheating later?
@@edterryberry255 hell yeah
Great job looks fantastic
I love your banter together. Makes me miss my dad.
"then comes back our chicken it does"
"pearl onions hard to peel they are"
"pain in my little green ass it is"
March:
Ingredients:
Chicken:
Bone-in chicken (drumsticks and thighs work well)
Yellow onions
Sweet Hungarian paprika (for that authentic flavor)
Sour cream
Chicken stock (for deeper flavor)
Dumplings (Nokedli):
6 eggs (beaten)
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup water
2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
Flour the Chicken:
Remove the skin from the chicken pieces.
Dredge each piece in seasoned flour.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat oil in a deep skillet.
Add sliced onions and cook until softened.
Add the floured chicken, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chicken stock.
Simmer until the chicken is tender.
Prepare the Dumplings (Nokedli):
Boil water in a large pot.
Mix beaten eggs, flour, water, and salt to form a thick batter.
Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the boiling water.
Cook until the dumplings float to the surface.
Serve:
Serve the tender chicken with the paprika-infused sauce, finished with sour cream.
Top with the fluffy dumplings.
Enjoy this heartwarming dish that pays homage to Hungarian traditions and family memories! 🇭🇺❤
This was sooo good and easy to make! A new favorite in our house!
I love this dish!!! Comfort food! 🤤
Day #50 trying to win a free knife so I can cook like sam.
Clearly Sam has not spent much time in Alabama 😂
Does anyone?
Who would?
This is beautiful. I'm going to make it this week.
This looks doable and Delish. 🎉 Another Amazing recipe. ❤
I have a great recipe for chicken thighs. Cover with olive oil, then generously add Italian seasoning. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes
Sounds expensive
So confit chicken basically? Sounds nice but when do the herbs and veges come in?
March: Strammer Max. Ingredients in order of assembly are pan fried sourdough rye bread, ham, gouda, sunnyside up fried egg, fresh chives and dried fried onions. This is a German hangover cure and it's F#%*CKING DELICIOUS.
Gotta love one pan recipes
This looks amazing and reminds me of meals my grandma would make back in Canada. Thank you Sam.
Belgians have fricadelle ( type of corndog )
French have fricassée
2 different dishes
A Fricadelle/Frikandel is nothing like a corndog!
La fricadelle semble être 😋
German frickadelle is meatballs, Dutch is similar so not sure about the corndog link.
