one of the few off road videos of the jgc where the drivers actually know what they are doing, no music, no useless talk A+ video
Unlike in most off-roading videos on UA-cam, these guys actually know what they're doing.
Glad you liked it 👍
+chansetwo Exactly what I'm trying to say to ppl
@@AussieFourWheelers these jeep would be the worst you could get. Could not think of anything lows... shit box
Hahahaha they have no idea
@Alex K you're exactly right overpriced shitboxes for instance $40,000 for pump and injectors
I would like to congratulate the Jeep driver because he really knows the capabilities of his vehicle. A true master behind the wheel of this Jeep.
If anyone wants to see some real action, please watch this video, I'm sure you'll enjoy it: HOT ACTION!!! 4x4 Mayhem Teaser @ Wheeny Creek
This is one of those videos that you found by accident or was recommended by the algorithm but for sure you are glad to had stumble upon it. Personally those are two unmatched vehicles however both did perfectly fine! Enjoyable video from start to finish!
The Jeep in this video is not a HEMI, it is a V6 with traction control.
Great video. Still learning how to drive my Grand Cherokee.
Jeep made it look easy.. love it.
im impressed by the capability of the cherokee
totally agree, same here.
Grand cherokee
With that traction control, it can do pretty crazy things
Love my wk2, once you go Jeep, you never get back.
Great video. Team JGC! One of the videos you can watch over and over again admiring the exploits of the WK2. Aside for the Quadra trac, the approach and departure angles were superior here.
Никогда и подумать не мог что Чероки на такое способен.
Спасибо за видео....
All that brand hate. So much wasted energy.
Lovely video and very nice driving. Both models seem to be in very capable hands, and it goes to show with the right driver it really doesn't need massive lifts, aggressive tires and a heavy right foot to cover trails like this.
Thanks for a balanced comment.
@@AussieFourWheelers remd
It's been a while I'm seeing experienced drivers doing some casual off roading
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍
Amazing how good these cars are off road, especially while driven by experience drivers. Well done!
Thanks 👍 Glad you liked it.
I'm getting a 2015 Laredo 4x4. It's good to see that (with good tyres) it's just as competent in the bush as I thought.
I use to drive my mother's 2013 Grand Cherokee back when I first got my license.. Being in Canada it was tremendously amazing during winter, super comfortable rallying dirt roads at high speeds lol, and never left me stranded once
This video reinforces why I'm not upgrading wheels/tires on my wk2. For one, its my daily driver and two, its still fully capable for whatever I'll be putting it through 4 times a year.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee do it with a street tires. It´s amazing.
I was impressed with both vehicles - I love the styling of the Jeep - also the drivers in this video are so bloody good !
I love my Jeep GC and have great respect for the Patrol.
Gotta love the traction control on that Jeep
I'm glad you like them, thanks. More to come...
Far out, these videos just keep getting better
Nice rocky tracks, can really see the traction control of the Jeep working, good driving, enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing.
No probs. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
these videos are great guys. looking forward to the next ones
Great video! im looking to buy a jeep grand Cherokee 2013 crd. love from south africa.
Glad you liked it. All the best with your Jeep.
I own a 2019 grand cherokee .. but really love the style and the old school tec on the nissan. That car is actually very capable. Great vid and amazing trail guys 👍
Thanks a lot. Glad you liked the video.
Not taking sides.
But HOLY SQUEAKING BATMAN! I had to turn the volume down @2:00!
In stark contrast, from 4:10 to 6:20 all I heard was rain.
That GC is awesome and you guys' driving skills are fantastic. Subbed.
Thank you.
Great video mate. Impressive how both cars managed the obstacles in a quite tamed manner. Enjoyed watching this. :)
Thanks a lot for the compliments mate, I'm glad you enjoyed watching it.
Patrol suspensions makes it more powerful on rocky terrain. I love it
Im very impressed with the Jeep performance for a luxury SUV, well done Jeep!
Jeep looks comfortable. Confident of its ability
RagingTiger
Now the just need to make it reliable and look after all there coustomers..
I have a 2012 Jeep GC and it’s reliable. I just keep up with maintenance of course. I also have a 04 wrangler and 11 compass, no problems.
@@edsil5754 you must be one of the only few lucky ones mate we bought a brand new JK Jeep Wrangler diesel Auto 4 door in 2010 was the biggest Shitbox i of ever owned
Love the violin soundtrack!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video looks like you all were fun keep it up
great video! hello from Houston Texas
Thank you 👍 Glad you liked it.
Thanks bud. Glad you liked it.
Interesting how the Jeep 4x4 system selects the wheel(s) with the most traction.
Thanks for the vid boys.
Because of traction control. No worries. I'm glad you liked the video. Hopefully I'll have some more good ones.
Aussie Four Wheelers (Hemi4WD) Does this Jeep have the electronic rear locker or is it all done with traction control? Is it Quadra Lift or steel springs? Impressive stuff. Good job.
Traction control only, steel springs but I have a 2 inch spacer lift.
Nicholas Klapsogiannis That's awesome. Nice driving and thanks for the reply.
This video is a testament to the capabilities of the Jeep Grand Cherokee! I purchased a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland not too long ago and LOVE it. It hasn't disappointed me one bit. I actually think its look is better than the newer models. The larger grill and headlights give it a bolder, more rugged look. The rear taillight's design flow into the center chrome accent, making it look like an SUV rather than a minivan. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for leaving a comment 👍 Glad you liked the video.
@Walter Londrie
Totally agree!
Hands down the Jeep is a beast Jeep Grand Cherokee...all the way
That was some real off-roading... :)
Why can't everyone just enjoy the sight of a couple of people out enjoying 4WDriving FFS
they are. look at the comments
+Oz Bloke 👌
+Equim Yes, most people are 👍
Awesome trail and amazing driving skills! Thanks for sharing it. I'm so surprised a V6 QC "mom-mobile" is this off-road capable - just helped me decide to buy a used 2011 for my winter ski trips in Michigan.
Rubens Ribeiro the Jeep Grand Cherokee is no qc mom-mobile obviously...it’s an outdoor-mobile
wow what a great video I really enjoyed watching it
Impressive from both vehicles.
Maybe i'm not a offroad specialist, but i'm truely impressed !!!
Jeep = Like a BEAST!! Thumbs up on the off road skills as well, both drivers. But the Jeep made it seem effortless. I have a WJ series Overland.
Damn that jeep loves the rocks
It asks for it by name everyday.
Jeep did good. Wish the driver air down tho
love your videos. If I may ask Hemi, what is your line of work if you need the fully prepped 4x4? (sounds like my kind of work!).
In this video, yes!
I didn't realize the v6 would perform so well off road before this video lol
I am impressed with how much control the Jeep maintained. It was thinking how to best climb in every situation, putting the power exactly where it wanted it and the air suspension leveled it out perfectly. The ironic thing is that the Cherokee is really a crossover always has been.
+Bruce B Its a Laredo, it doesn't have air suspension
Cool video. Both vehicles look good. My 2011 GC has seen more sand than rock, but has always performed well. I need the underbody protection next though
Amazing video, I'm wondering if you used a Canon SLR to shoot this video. The video quality is so good.
great videos guys keep it up from New York.
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it.
Irish ☘️ army had the Nissan patrol, except bit of kit , & I am a Land Rover Guy , drove a patrol in Africa didn’t disappoint !
Impressive departure angle on the Jeep
Thanks for this awesome video. Patrol was like a lion
و إياكم أخي
An aging, fat, out of shape lion.
Another win for the Jeep. Don’t mess with the legend.
Dan R did u actually watch the video?
both the vehicles were awesome
Thanks man 👍👍 Thanks for watching.
In 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee higher models introduced air suspension and later they added it as an optional suspension also to the Laredo model
Hi Ken, just as Nicholas said, his is the WK2 and I still have my HEMI WK, I love it to much, can't think of selling it yet. Yeah, that's my Patrol that I use for work, it's stock with a factory rear locker.
Coming from someone who uses a 2011 Grand Cherokee for offloading one of the biggest factors is having the right tires to get the job done. I personally use sub-terrain tires because it gives a combination of a highway tire and a off road tire. For optimal performance using a All-Terrain tire is the obvious best option.
No, the biggest factor is having a driver knowing what they are doing.
Yeah, you're right about the WK2's. They have pretty good clearance with the independent suspension compared to my WH/WK model but I don't know how high they could be lifted or what would be the biggest tyre size to put on.
In regards to the Land Cruiser and Patrol, LOL, I better not comment, all war will break loose, HAHA, if you know what I mean :D.
Great driving, great video!
Thanks 👍 Glad you liked it.
Nice effort...thanks for your time and post....
The UHF antenna should be in the front of the GC, to avoid interruption from the rear mounted FM antenna. BTW.. what tyres the GC is running on?
Nice video, what camera do you use?
i love this video.Your videos are amazing
Thanks ;)
+Aussie Four Wheelers hi (Hemi4WD) h m,,
Impressive with jeep on those tires, that is more than enough id need it for for my kind of camping.
Great video mate. The vehicles are close to comparison. I would like to know Solid axle to solid axle JK Rubi vs Nissan Patrol !
Great video! BOth vehicles did well but the Jeep seemed to handle nearly all situations a bit smoother and more confidently; also less jostling. I was surprised to see later in the video that the Jeep was a Laredo. I had expected it to be a Limited with the Quadra Drive II, since it seemed to grab new traction whenever a wheel slipped. Must be that the traction control works well or possibly it was after-market equipped with a locker? Enjoyable and good stuff to learn here about stock ground clearance, etc. Thanks.
What's the point of comparing a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee against a 15 year old Patrol?
***** You're right, a 15 year old Jeep is better.
mate i got a gq and i think they have a cult following fuck jeep would not be as reliable and too plastic
That patrol is fast
Patrol or land cruiser estan muchisiiimooo mejor q una descartable jeep peor si esa jeep es cheroke
15 years old Patrol wins in every offroad place...and is beautiful, wonderful and amazing, a real 4x4
Excelente video, saludos desde Caracas-Venezuela
Thank you very much👍👍👍 Glad you liked it.
Wonder if my toyota prado can tackle those tracks. Great video love both cars.... but if I have to choose which one performs better... I go with the patrol... jeep struggle at times due to lack of wheel travel.... but performs well otherwise
Best Off road video I have seen yet. Great video.
I have a Nissan patrol myself 2001. I Am thinking about buying the GC.
A question, Which one is best do you think. All around and off road.
Peace from Iraq
GC with QD2 and a HEMI or even better, a new diesel with 570 Nm of torque, is good but personally, I don't like the look of the WK2 Jeeps, and they're a good all rounder.
For offroad, I'd prefer the Patrol with the 4.8L plus it still has solid axles, and there are heaps of mods available for it. It doesn't take much to run 35 inch tyres on it. In Australia you can still purchase them new, so they will come with traction control and a rear locker.
I hope that helps.
مع السلامة من أستراليا
i love to see those jeep with the solid axel differential
Where in Menai? I have been looking for places to drive near Heathcote but couldn't find any tracks that were open to the public?
Awesome vid!! Quick question (not sure if the owner of these vehicles actually posted this video) I also have a patrol (series 3 with the 4.8L petrol engine) and also on gas and I was just wondering what size gas bottle you have used as my one seems to hang a little lower but is only a 70L tank (60L useable) which is smaller then the normal gas bottles used for a patrol. Cheers
rdsousa1 Thanks mate. The LPG tank on this Patrol is 90L, if that helps.
Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 is a beast off roading I have one myself
Subscribing to this channel. You Aussies know what offroading is.
Thank you very much 👍 Greatly appreciated.
That one in the video is my mate's and I was surprised how well it performed. He also said he gets very good fuel economy. Personally, I love V8's so a HEMI would do fine for me, just love the sound. But if you want real good economy without losing much power, CRD is the way to go then, amazing torque, excellent 0-100 times for an SUV and good low down torque for wheeling.
Thanks mate.
THIS video is AMAZING
The QD2 in that Jeep is fantastic.
It's QT2 not QD2
Gotta give it to Jeep. This is the Laredo Model and has no Off-road package and still manage to walk those wet rocks with no drama whatsoever.
I am so getting the Overland with the 8-speed and off-road 2 package :D
Jeep's fully armoured underneath, plus he's got the rock crushers on the sides, made out of RHS 150x50x5mm.
I just did the same on the Patrol but went with a bit lighter 150x50x4mm and tested it (see the 4x4 Mayhem Teaser @ Wheeny Creek video) and not a dent, let alone a bend. Just scratches, which are easily fixed with a spray can LOL.
So yeah, the Jeep does very well. The intention is to make it remain looking stock... a sleeper.
that's a jolly good job guys! both cars are great. I had a discovery 300tdi -rubbish. Now I drive grand cherokee wh with quadra drive ii and it s a perfect car. I love it.
Thanks for watching and dropping a comment. WH's are great.
Chaneels like yours, one Up The Sleeve Customs, one Up The Sleeve Customs Automotive, made in poland, 4wd action, 4x4 avstralia, ronny Dahl, JIMBO'S GARAGE, carwow, cars garage... are the reson why I LOVE youtobe😎 🤠.
LOVE THIS VIDEO 😍. CHEERS LEGENDS!
Thanks a lot mate 👍👍👍
Can you show me where this trail is??? :P
great video work!! jeep is better looking and did a great job off road...as expected!
Did you mean 21:21? If it is, it was the transfer case on its way.
Hi guy's I love the video. I am just looking at getting a Wk2. Did that one you used have any lift or the quadralift added? Just not sure which way to go.
No QuadraLift but it had 2 inches of lift.
@@AussieFourWheelers Awesome thanks for the reply. I was thinking about going that way and now will definitely do that
All the best bud 👍
Nice video. I have never seen a grand cherokee driven offroad like this. Climbs like a mountain goat. Is this the overland version?
No
It's a Laredo.
Aussie Four Wheelers 4x4?
i like so much this video, is a real off road. every time i see impact to me
Glad you liked it so much 😊 Thanks for watching 👍
Ohh an awesome vid btw :D
Is the GC without quadra drive 2? It seems it is a model with coil springs without air suspension? 4wd low and lock option?
No air suspension or Quadra drive (no locking rear) It does have low range
Did you trade your WK for a WK2? Looks like it's time to throw a small lift on that sucker and go up a size or two on the tyres. That said, it seems to do quite well. All of that exposed rock looks like a blast to wheel on.
what vehicles did a great job
What a terrific video - great driving from both drivers!
I have been reading through the comments and notice that the Jeep has a 2 inch lift. Can this be done without changing the stock shocks and setup?
Anyone know if that would void warranty?
Thanks for the vid Aussie Four Wheelers!
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍👍
Yes, it was running 2" blocks/spacers on the original suspension.
Yes, this kind of setup will void warranty.
@@AussieFourWheelers Ok, thanks for the reply mate. If you have the time to comment again, do you think a stock height WK2 could do similar terrain?
Cheers mate, all the best.
They are pretty low from factory, so there would be a bit of scraping for sure. Just bash plate it and see how it goes. Have someone spotting you to make sure you don't clip anything.
@@AussieFourWheelers Thanks for your time mate.
