Love Dokken and Lynch is one of my three favorite Guitarist but this vocalist isnt good enough to be in this band. He sounds like a cover band guy doing Karaoke poorly
You’re not far off about the singer, but sadly with Don’s voice issues, Gabriel sings Dokken stuff better right now. I wish Don success in getting his vocals back and would love to see a reunion with all original members before it’s all said and done. Jeff will be available soon with Foreigner allegedly on a farewell tour. They would need to Mick to come out of retirement and the reunion could happen. My fingers are crossed.🤞
@@JDsLiveMusic I agree it's sad that Don is having vocal issues. But I will say this we got to open a show for Dokken at a bar in Ohio in 2001 I was so excited to meet them especially Lynch. And He wasn't even in the band anymore. They had John Norm who didn't do Lynch's parts very well. And Don was a Dick who wouldnt talk to anyone or come off his bus. But Mich Brown was the coolest, nicest down to earth guy. According to what Don and George both said he has become a recluse, sold his drums and quit playing all together because it's too hard on him.
@brianlittle9202 That’s too bad about Don blowing you off. I had heard about Mick, but was hoping he just needed some time off. From what you’re saying it sounds more permanent. We can only hope a reunion happens even though it’s unlikely.
@@JDsLiveMusic U know even though he was an ass it's undeniable that the man could sing and even play guitar and write good songs. So I still have great respect for him whether he still can on the same level he used to or not. He's 70yrs old so he's done his time. And he did sound really good the night we played together and it was the biggest show I ever got to play because of them obviously it was about 1900 people which is close enough to say 2000 lol I couldn't tell the difference lol
@@brianlittle9202 Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Don Dokken fan and I’d still pay to see a reunion even if his singing wasn’t up to par. He absolutely is a great songwriter and had an amazing voice on all the Dokken records.
Don’t get why George can’t find better people to play with. The lead singer thinks he’s went back into the 80s dimension and thinks he’s Rico suave. He’s like a 30 year old bar singer whose like yeah ladies look at me I’m getting laid after this and George is like yeah after the gig I’m going home and going to bed. Lmao It’s like two different atmospheres on stage that just don’t mix 😂
He probably could find a better and more experienced singer and band for that matter, but that comes with a price. George at this point in his life needs to bank money and if he’s paying band members big bucks, that doesn’t leave much for him. He’s not playing arenas, he’s playing clubs and unfortunately these don’t pay near the same. I blame the fans for not selling out these clubs, so he can play in bigger venues. It’s crazy how somebody like Taylor Swift can sell out a stadium at $500 a pop and Dokken fans won’t pony up $50 bucks to see one of the best rock guitar players on the planet. I won’t pay $10 bucks to see her, but I’ll pay $50-$100 any day to see George. It’s unfortunately just the state of the “music business” now.

Even Don Dokken hasn't been able to sing Dokken the last 20ish years. It really isn't easy. He was a talent in his day.
