im glad these bands from back in my day are still touring!!!yes there older as so am i.so I'm jelly they can still do it.me,not so much as i feel old as fck!!!thank you loverboy!!!
mikes voice is still sounding great all these years later!!!
Why are they playing it so slow?! It triggers my OCD 😂but this slow and you still hear that Viv is still a guitar god!
@@CallousCoder I have no idea, and you’re not the first person to ask that question.
Way slow , but big fan for sure Incredible singing
no shit, its 40 plus years later d bag!!!
sounds killer... fender deluxe reverbs and some pedals.
Joe is playing the lead melody wrong. Missing the descending note in the end of the phrase. Annoying
Dah- duh. The duh is missing
@@jakepyrett1715 Joe is no Eddie Van Halen.
What an awesome band from the 80s! It’s so cool they are still rocking with the original members (except bassist). They are kind of under the radar - not sure why. Mike Reno is a monster vocalist a la Journey and Foreigner and he’s still got his chops. Always loved that guitar player’s style. Forgot his name. They really sound great. Thanks for posting!
@@VinceMGuitar I feel the same way. Guitar player is 78 year old Paul Dean. You’re very welcome.
la journey or foreigner?thos eband dotn even have the original singer like loverboy!js.but yes mike still sounds great.i think people give mike to much shit because of his weight!!who gives a shit about his weight!!!
@@JDsLiveMusic damn,i wish i hoping i can just walk as good as him when im 78.good for him..much less playing a guitar!!!.
Just my opinions - It looks like they are in the Grandma business not the music business. At least try to appear youthful like cut and die your hair, the lot of you, lose the 80s clothes, get in shape, modernize a tad, not to mention that horrific Rockman-ish guitar sound and your drummer is dragging so bad he sounds asleep. Makes me feel sad for them and a rock show is suppose to lift you up.
get lost d bag, stop being jealous of a person still doing what they love in life for a job!!!can you say that???um noooooo
totally geezering!! lol
Mike get real lose that gut
The idiots like you dont sing alone whit him estúpid
LOL....time to hang it Mikeey, jesus go golfing or get hammered watching strippers!
great band! (why does Reno tilt the mic up and down like that,...wierd)
@@macdeedrum4659 I have no idea and wondered the exact same thing.
He is "self-compressing" to keep levels even as he has a powerful sometimes uneven voice. You can see him use his thumb over top of the SM58 at times . He's been doing that for ever. He can still sing without baking tracks !
I agree he is singing and not using backing tracks with the exception of the scream on Turn Me Loose. I’m fairly certain that is recorded. Watch and listen to it and let me know if you agree.
He’s done it since they started in the 80s. I guess it’s just a technique he prefers. I’ve seen other singers do the same thing but instead of up and down they hold it really far back on high notes
Mike’s lost him some weight! Old but still rocking!!!❤
All original members.. Still sound great.
@@scottwhite1963 yes, all except Scott Smith, their bass player, who was lost at sea piloting his sailboat in California in November of 2000. Technically he replaced Jim Clench, their original bass player, but that was before they hit it big.
Jim Clench from April Wine?
The one and only. You know your music.
Thanks for sharing😎
@@bradschwieger1246 you’re very welcome and I’m happy to do it.
Bunch of Grandpa's Rockin out
Neither drummer are as good as Alex Van Halen.
1:27 Sammy Hagar pucks up the lyrics, he almost started singing “oh, ohh, ooh, ohh, ohhh” when he was supposed to start the second verse - then he basically cuts up Jason Bonham, saying that Kenny Aronoff is a more precise drummer. Maybe if Sammy was a more precise singer, the other members would be more precise. I saw a video of him puckin’ up the words before too. I think it’s just because Satriani wanted Kenny in the band and he talked Sammy into dumping Bonham.
@@flashy5150 I thought that was pretty crappy what Sammy did to Jason. Who do you want, the son of the best drummer in the world who plays like his daddy or a former Johnny Cougar drummer?
The singer doesn't use a compressor on his mic? (re mic technique) A tad distracting imho.
I take it you do music production for a living? That’s a very astute observation that us lay people do not notice. I wonder if it has anything to do with the way he moves the mic up and down when he sings? Maybe you can give me your opinion on that. I’m just a music fan, and it’s nice to get information from an expert.
@@JDsLiveMusic Hello. Yes, he is moving the mic upward when he is singing louder so that not as much of his voice is going 100% into the mic on those parts. I have seen others do various mic techniques where they will physically back away from the mic a bit, or sing off to the left or right of the mic instead of singing into it directly. He is using his mic technique in a manner that would be done automatically by a compressor. By doing it himself physically he would have a bit more control of the end result instead of leaving the sound person to adjust a compressor appropriately. Perhaps he has had bad experiences with sound techs not making adjustments to his satisfaction? I have never seen a mic technique that is so distracting to me thus why I mentioned it. I hope that explanation is helpful. My two cents worth. 🙂
Thank you so much for the information, it is very helpful. I’m sure other fans who read this will be happy to hear the information as well. I think your assessment of what Mike is doing is a very good one. Knowing what you just told us all, I would have to agree with what you’re saying. Good stuff!
Mike has always used this technique when singing. His vocal range has obviously diminished but his technique has stayed the same. Loverboy were one of the first bands I got heavily into early 80s as they used to open for most bands on the west coast of Canada.
Ahhh Blubber Boy still rockin and eating since the 80’s
I play it at 1.1. Is that a good speed?
wow- showing their age...
@@willms7350 Paul Dean is already 78 years old. He does very well for his age. Mike Reno just needs to work on his weight. The others guys look pretty good to me.
So will you one day, skeezix.
@@JDsLiveMusicyou can plainly see Mike has lost some weight. Just needs to work on his tummy area.
That’s true, just needs to lose some more, but he’s still a good singer.
really?no shit, thanks for sharing mr obvious!!!
Not much left here,,,sad
@@stevemcfate1961 yeah with Neal Doughty’s retirement and Bruce Hall’s back issues, only leaves Kevin Cronin as a classic era member. With any luck, Bruce will heal up and settle his differences with Kevin and be back next year. Kevin hinted at it at the end of the show.
@JDsLiveMusic The same thing happened with my favorite band, Kansas. Rich Williams is the only one left. Phil Ehart had a heart attack, and Billy Greer retired after 40 years a few months back.
I hadn’t heard of Phil‘s heart attack, sorry to hear about that. I kind of gave up on Kansas when Steve Walsh retired. I just couldn’t imagine hearing anybody sing those songs, but him. Sadly, it’s happening to all of our favorite bands. Pretty soon there won’t be anybody I want to go see, unless I expand my horizons and start listening to new music. It’s very depressing to think about.
@JDsLiveMusic yeah it was a blow. He is doing well in his recovery. It was genetic, not lifestyle. He is still Band Manager ( over 40 years now) and hasn't ruled out a return to the stage. I went to Topeka, Kansas, for 2 shows in Oct. Fortunately, Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope showed up both nights and sat in. Kerry still lives on his farm in the area. It was my " send off shows" I don't intend to see what's left of the band Live anymore. They are great musicians and sound really good, just not enough left. Their last 2 albums are very good, 2016 and 2022.
Love em
Wow! This sounds nothing like Van Halen. Drumming and Guitar is nothing like Alex and Al. Sorry.
Grandeeeee ❤🙌
They sound pretty good hope to see you guys some point bands in my generation slowly fading away take what you can get
reo great
KC sounds great tonight, good videos!
Sorry, phone cut off before they reached the end of the song.
Going to see them tonight in Derry NH. Never been so psyched to see one guy. God Bless Artimus Pyle. 🙏
I was at this show, too! Do you have a full setlist from that night? I just saw them a few weeks ago in Tiffin, OH. I wanna compare setlists, but I didn’t take notes at the Versailles show. 😭
@@Mr._Mints sorry, I do not have that information.
I was there and they rocked it
im here for south park😂😂
Don is my favorite Eagle. He's quite the guitar player. It was the Eagle's loss when he left the band.
@@spacecatavonlady1 oh without a doubt, never the same band without him.
The Eagles were a fully functional band before Felder...kinda like a family car...after Felder joins they became a serious race car...his guitar sounds like a racing engine and has nitrous oxide boost.
This was a fantastic experience I loved this show!!!
I am anxiously waiting for his show in Columbus on December 19. He is hands down the best musician ever to play in the Eagles. His superior abilities on the guitar turned them from being a good band into a great band.
@@ricthornton2958 very well said. After boycotting them for awhile after throwing him out, I returned to see them a couple more times, once as recently as September at The Sphere in Vegas. They are definitely not the same band without him and will never be. That might upset some people, but it’s the truth. Henley and Frey’s ego forever ruined that band and that’s very sad. But, at least Don continues to play and entertains us all, reminiscing about The Eagles and what they once used to be
He was until Vince Gill played with them, 2 great musicians. Now a Felder Gill band would be humongous. Henley and Frey come across as ego self worshippers.
@@brynjones7371 You're out of your mind. The Vince Gill version is the worst version ever. When Gill is in a song, I turn it off as fast as possible.
The guitar solo in One of These Nights 7:34 is one of the best ever. So concise and melodic and fun. Quite technically challenging to pull of precisely. He's lost a bit here. But it's like 50 years later. Don Felder is a living legend.
Old axel sound like shit
I was on the other side of the stage and could hear the vocals pretty good, Nothing like this?? Wow. What a fantastic show!! it seemed Dave changed about 5 times, lol. I was 4th row.
@@lonzojones4428 I just watched this video of mine several times the other night, wishing that Eddie was still alive. At least we have his music to remember him.
This was a band and a city collectively healing together. A truly powerful moment.
It's near non existent that a band gets BETTER when the lead singer leaves, but that's what happened when the legendary voice of Sammy Hagar joined VH! We miss EVH. Sammy's still here with Michael. STILL ROCKING!!🤘❤️
Some parts he could sing in your normal voice! It would be great and quiet for him 🖤
Great footage! Sick solo!!!
She’s only forty threeeeeeee
Sounds great!!
Hello Barry you're looking really amazing again l just loves listening. To you're content you watching you're just nice guy l got to know Barry like lots and miss lots
Felder still sounding and playing great. Love it
Hearing Don's band play One of these Nights live will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. It's amazing.
