I go to the dollar store and buy a cheap bed pillow to use in my stuffing projects instead of the expensive stuffing from the fabric store. I love this pin cushion! Great Christmas gift for my sewing friends.
This is very cute. I think I'd put a tiny dot of hot glue under the button to hold it on after you sew it into the center. When I make pin cushions I line the inside of the top, with a scrap of thin batting & it helps to keep the fabric smooth.
😅these are so pretty. My mom had a small pair of needle nose pliers in her sewing basket for when it was hard to pull her needle through layers of fabric. Very helpful! I love your fabric line.
This is a really wonderful tutorial. You have made it look so easy to make! I’m definitely going to make one of these! Thank you for posting this video. ❤
I love your tutorial! but my question is about the quilt in the background...what's the name of the pattern used and what fabric???? I'm totally🥰 in love with it !!!
Cute pin cushion. I think the shells or rice will help keep in from falling off the sewing area. I plan to make one. Please close your rotary cutter after each cut. Safety first please.
Thanks for the tutorial! I really want a large pincushion but as a beginner most are too complicated for me. This looks easier, bit I’d prefer all nut shells vs the poly, how do I go about filling and closing without a huge mess? I heard that it’s best to put some fusible interfacing on the fabric to keep the shells from poking out too. Anyone have any tips for me? I would appreciate!!! I don’t even care about the flower petals, etc. I just want a big pretty beginner friendly pin cushion! Many thanks!
Very nice. I have several pincushions already, but can you really have too many??? Especially when they're so doggone cute?? And I love that ring on your right hand. I don't know gems very well, but it sure is pretty. Is it an opal?
It’s probably way too late to get this question answered but can you tell me what you mean by “pop the seam” after four squares are sewn together? Thank you.
It’s huge lol 😆 Maybe some people with a big sewing room have a room for the humongous pin cushion but I have a small space I need much smaller one. 😅 I didn’t realize how huge that pin cushion was in the thumbnail 😂
There is a link at the bottom of the description that takes you to the printed pattern and template. You can just print it out. Before you are rude to someone, make sure you have looked for the pattern.
I agree, it's an automatic habit for me to close it. My husband's grandmother cut herself quite badly with one in the late 1970's-having arthritis in her hands didn't help. I often mark a cutting line with chalk and use scissors. After all, that's what our fore bearers did.

I saw the picture and thought those cookies look delicious 😂. Came for the recipe and now I’m sewing. I need to go to the bakery.

Love the pin cushion!! Just wish she would close the blades on the rotary cutters!
She isn't 4. I think she can leave the rotary cutter open. 😂
@@kenmendenhall3732ahhhh, I am not 4 either and I have accidentally pasted my hand across the open cutter and cut myself badly. Accidents happen.
So cute and the colors you chose are just lovely. Thanks so much for sharing this pattern.
Great tutorial and it's cute and useful!! I love larger pincushions, so I will definitely be making one! Thank you for the free pattern and tutorial!

Have you ever thought of using dental floss for the center tufting…. It’s very strong .
Beautiful😍
I would love one about 1/4 the size. That thing is huge! 😆
This was a cute lesson.

Very cute, love catching this ❤ty
I love your tutorial! but my question is about the quilt in the background...what's the name of the pattern used and what fabric???? I'm totally🥰 in love with it !!!

thank you. you made it l ook so easy.
❤❤❤❤ Love this
Very cute!
WWWWWOOOOWWWWW VERY VERY VERY BEATIFUL 😊 THANK ❤
When adding walnut shells and /or rice, do you make a little sachet of shells to keep the shells in place?
I do because if the cushion ever gets a leak, 😉, they won’t spill out.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the pattern. Are there any pattern corrections available; I have found the loop to be too large. Did I do something wrong?
Cute pin cushion. I think the shells or rice will help keep in from falling off the sewing area. I plan to make one. Please close your rotary cutter after each cut. Safety first please.
Jill, what a cute pincushion! The small square ironing surface-can you say where you got it? Did you make it? Thanks and Happy New Year! Cindy
Thank you.
Super cute!

So, if I use the crushed nut shells in a sachet, does this add to the struggle or is it not an issue, when sewing on the buttons? 😅
Wonderful project but please keep that rotary blade closed. ❤❤

Hello Debbie
Can we be friends?
Oh Jill, that quilt with the tiny houses on it behind you is just beautiful. Is there a pattern ? Where can I find it ?
I need one of these instead of plastic box for pins
Thanks !!
Adorable
Sew cute, love it!!
I really like this project. What is the best stuffing material in order to keep my pins sharp?
Hello Bonnie
How are you doing today?
I heard the crushed walnut shells are best. Not sure if it is true.
Hi very cut cushion. I will like to do big now how to do it tq

Just make it smaller. Cut the circles smaller. Easy to do.
Muy muy linda!!!
❤❤❤
Hello Terri
How are you doing today?

It would have been nice if we could have printed the final version. Cheap trick

Really cute ty for the tutorial but I wouldn’t call it little😂
Oh yayyy the hot pad is there🥵
Sow cute
Very hard to follow her. 😭
Really? I thought she was very good.
😍🙏
🥰
Two words for the petals and button - Glue gun.
Guess she knows her iron is sitting down 😮
Its a Olso
.. they pop up on little feet
@@robinmorgan9837 not the small ones
There’s a silicone holder that it rests on that comes with the iron.
Close the Rotary Cutter ! Yes, it’s a small cutter But a cut can be very painful. Thanks for video !
Please!!!! Close your rotary cutter.
Oh stop ,she can do what she wants.
