I use puréed chick peas instead of stocking the flour, wrap the mess with parchment paper then aluminum foil, 40 minutes hi pressure in an instant pot with 2 cup water really easy. Nice selection of seasoning in the recipe here!
Instead of cloth, use baking paper/parchment first, then strong aluminum foil outside, twist the ends well. Works great and never sticks. You shouldn’t use aluminum foil straight on the meat though, since it has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease. That is why the parchment should be closest to your un-meat. If you add a little agar agar and methyl cellulose, it becomes even better! YUM! 😊
I think the problem arises when acidic food like tomatoes are present. In this recipe she did use some ketchup so I think it's better to wrap it the way you described it.

I bought a pack of 4 - 100% cotton linen cloth. I can't remember the brand. They were the kind used to shine drinking glass I think? I could be wrong! I have only used one cloth (that I have split into 4) so far, so I would say it's very much worth the purchase! Cheesecloth is the most annoying thing ever loll!!! Im sure you could find some at target or walmart, thats probably where I got them! :D I hope you love the recipe Victoria! :)

Oh not at all! It's actually quite moist! Its just firmer to be able to slice properly! I definitely worked on the recipe and made sure it was amazing, as I do with all of my recipes!!! DaveSquibbSr A lot of store bought breads are vegan.... To say “they use animal fat in store bought bread” and make a blanket would be wrong. And I of course always read the ingredients!!! I make vegan recipes with vegan ingredients, including bread! Also, companies like Franz in Seattle for example will clearly label which of their breads are vegan. Don’t spread misinformation and make veganism look harder than it *actually* is.
Bologna and other processed meats are directly linked to cancer. Vital wheat gluten, which is 100% wheat, does not. What makes my recipe made from scratch not healthy? What makes this as bad as bologna! Bologna is SOOOO bad for you!!!! I have seen zero peer reviewed studies showing adverse health effects from consuming vital wheat gluten. Can you back up your claim with facts?
I would agree with you but i'm talking about cooking fresh meats and not the big lie of the vegans about soy, tofu, etc.. that are nothing more than a doctrine of demons designed to get you to worship the creation and not the true living word and God of the Bible!

This texture looks perfect. So many seitan deli recipes look too spongy.
