James Brown could have been up there singing “I love my blue suit” over and over and over and over and over and over etc. -- and we would have loved it.
@aaronkenny7356: So - here’s the question - if you had the choice - front row seats - at the very top of their game - which one would you want to see live ? 1) James Brown 2) Michael Jackson I already know who I absolutely could not resist.
@@lilybond6485that’s a hard question to answer as a dancer I’ve done a lot to both of them as artists in regards to performance. I’d love to see both of them in their prime , though I have listened to more of MJs music honestly. That being said JB was one of MJs influences as well as a performer .
James is no puppy here either. He had really lost the spark that fired him when he was younger, but that happens to all of us. If you want to hear this song when he was in his prime look for a younger version. Still, he holds his own here age considered.
Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣 James Brown always bring me back to life when I'm down and out James Brown says it ain't over tell he says it over and it's not lol 😇😇his music still lives on worth living for God's Plan 🙏
This is one of my favorite lineups. I love the backup chants they do with James and the sax man !!! And the dancers were baddass. Working HARD ! 01:40 - 03:05. Especially the little one on the far left.
something only a small people know, James Brown has always his Band in charge. You can see how the keep on eye on him, because he dont use set list, he give signs which song they should play. And when he heard one single wrong note, he change the song quickly to another.
Yep, Prince was like that too and in fact you'll find a lot of the best musicians were like that especially in this genre, it means they can keep it fresh for the audience.
THE ONE THING THE FUNKIEST TWO MEN EVER TO LIVE,JAMES BROWN AND GEORGE CLINTON HAD IN COMMON IN A LIVE SETTING IS THEY BOTH HAD A 100 PEOPLE ON STAGE WITH THEM.THEIR WAS ALWAYS A CROWD ON STAGE WITH THEM TWO.R.I.P. SOUL BROTHER NUMBER ONE.
Listening to those 2 guitarists one plays chords the other one plays the gimmick is amazing …. And they can play tremendous solo as well but for the purpose of this song they are restricted to support the rhythm ….is fantastic ….
There is a video on YT for the complete show. She is featured in one of the songs. At the end, she leaves the stage with James. The entire show is excellent, hope you can find it. James Brown House of Blues complete show 1999
@@sashineb.2114 Wow! Yes I found it and thank you. The bg singers, for this gig, anyway, called themselves The Bittersweets, and they were all listed. I searched for each one until I found her. Her name's Amy Christian and she's alive and well. Now I can relax. Haha! Finally! Thank you!
James Brown always had the tightest bands. Incredible precision.
True, the godfather accepted nothin but perfection from his band
I miss him so much. He changed music for ever.
