”Work shit out” is one of my favourites. More jazz-funk-fusion and mainly instrumental with a fantastic piano solo as well as drum solo. For a bass solo I love the one in their cover of Justin, not Timberlake 😉, but Bieber’s ”Baby”. Great fun watching your reactions!
It's even crazier than you think: Jonah did all the vocals himself - taking on different personas to achieve the gospel choir effect. The other two miming along in the video is just for show, (as was them swapping instruments). But you're right, the pop element is strong with these guys. It explains how they ensnare a musically illiterate audience, although their music is simultaneously incredibly complex and opaque to untrained ears. It's quite brilliant actually. "Boy band jazz" someone called it.
Been there, done that ;) Discovered them about 5 years ago and couldn't wait for their concert which after postponing several times due to Covid took place last Year here in Estonia. LOVE their music! My faves are "Work Shit Out" and "Thriller" with Cory Wong, "Coffee break" from Jonah, feat. Richard Bona. If You want something older, then "Baby" (Justin Bieber cover) and "Wake me Up" (Avicii cover), or something a little different :) "OLD ARMANDO HAD A FARM" :)

It's soooo entertaining to see your reactions to Dirty Loops. Love you guys! 🇸🇪🙂👍
Wow, well done guys. Perfect response to the absolute brilliance that is Dirty Loops. As a side note, I think it's just awesome that Harry Connick Jr, Robert Downey Jr and Edward Norton's sons got together to form DL. 😜😂 But seriously, Work Shit Out, World On Fire, Follow The Light, Thriller etc are easy choices for reactions so carry on wayward sons!
Lol! 😂 Yes! I'd pay good foldin' money to see Jonah & Harry Connick Jr. play a piano duet together... Ferrante & Teicher: Next Generation! ("Foldin' money" is an Oh Brother Where Art Thou reference. 😉)
This is the appropriate response to this song! I'm sure somebody already mentioned the gospel "choir" is all just Jonah layering dozens of tracks. His arrangements and vocal ability are off the charts. Just wait till you hear "Work Shit Out" and realize his piano skills are also off the charts! The man is a god.
Maybe the best song ever!!! I just saw them in Nashville. They're freakishly amazing live! And this song, you think how can they do this live? And they crush it!! Watch BREAKDOWN next and Work Shit Out.
Saw them in Charlotte 3 weeks ago…. Absolutely amazing….. I smiled the entire time!!!! Wait till you see Henrik tap the country-ish Song……. He has forgotten more about playing bass than I know
I saw them in Denver last Friday and my body is still vibrating due to the musicianship. Take a look at "work Shit Out" next. You won't be disappointed.
"Work Shit Out" and "Coffee Break Is Over" will define Dirty Loops to anyone (ua-cam.com/video/r_GTgpdoCh0/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/aYYFmp9NBTk/v-deo.html)
Hahaha, yes, that is the appropriate reaction to this band. :D Aron (drums) isn't really singing on this track though, it's just for show in the video. All the vocals are Jonah. To me this whole song just screams of Toto, and considering that's one of the bands the drummer often cites as one of his main influences growing up, and he has written quite a bit of the song, that might not be so surprising. Henrik (bass) said the following about writing and recording this song, in an interview in Bass Magazine: Q: “Next to You” has a cool, halftime-shuffle feel and a gospel choir component. A: "That song took forever to write. Aron and I wrote the chorus in 2016. We found it in a drawer and tried a bunch of new verses with it until we got the right one. Then at the last minute, Aron wrote the gospel choir parts. He sent a very funny demo in which he marked where all the different gospel parts come in and what kind of voice they had. When Jonah recorded them, he had a chalkboard with all the different characters in the choir, and he distorted his voice to match each character and so none of them would sound like him. The groove has our typical, swung-funk, triplet feel, but the key is the Bootsy funk formula of having a heavy one to make all the subdivisions after it work. Aron wrote the chorus bass line, which is keyboard bass-like, and it worked best with a combination of fingers and slapping."
This has gotta be one of the funniest reactions to Dirty Loops, again!! It’s priceless, seeing the two of you blown away by these nasty dudes 🤣😂😅 Yes, it’s just the three of them, with their wall of sound, a percussionist and fantastic sound engineer behind the scenes, and loads of creativity, fun and skill. There is a great interview with Henrik on Bass Magazine/Songified, where he explains a bit about the making of these songs on their Phoenix album. I hope Lotta can tell you more ;) In short, Jonah does ALL of the vocals including backing and ‘choirs’, himself on this track. Aron and Henrik are just goofing around for the camera. Can’t take anything you see from these guys seriously cause they’re just out to take the piss 🤣 Unless you see them live of course, for which I totally envy you!!! Have a blast guys! 💥💥💥 And check out their track “Work Shit Out”, some more insane and goosebumps-inspiring stuff 👍✌️🤘✌️👍
You guys are hilarious and so much fun to watch! Your reaction to Next To You made my day. 😂 So glad that you have discovered Dirty Loops and so happy for you that you're going to see them live. They are incredibly talented! Some more recommendations for you: Follow the Light, Rock You, Lost In You, Thriller (yes - the Thriller!), Ta Fete, Circus. Also check out Songs for Lovers: Pink Power and Bitten by the Kitten. They have more surprises in store. 😊
1. Work Shit Out - straight up technical masterpiece 2. Rock You - more typical hit song structure filled with musicianship, funk, pop and lyrics you won’t stop singing.
Great Reaction, you still are at your infancy discovering their stuff -> getting to see them live though - 🔥 Please do more "Breakdown" "Work shit Out" or any covers, like their "Rolling in the Deep"
Just LOVE your reaction❣️I had this song on repeat for weeks after hearing it the first time. Can't get why they aren't played on radio more, especially since there"s a shorter radio edit of Next to you. Thank you for making my day!❤❤❤
So happy that you guys get to experience them live - with such a reaction you totally deserve it! I've seen them live twice and they are amazing! The vocals are all Jonah all the way (they are just messing with us in the video) :-) And yeah next time you should check out "Work shit out" next! Oh, and if you wanna go down the boyband line - check out their cover of Justin Biebers "Baby"...
And that’s how you enjoy Dirty Loops! 😃👏🏻 I always break a sweat listening to this song, all the emotions 😅 such a fun reaction guys! Hope you enjoy the concert. Maybe you wont get the chance for more first reactions but if you do I recommend Follow the Light, Work Shit Out or Hit me. ✌🏻
I SO LOVE your reactions to Dirty Loops! Y'all are so much fun to watch. And as far as your comments of being "younger" or "older" than the music, WELCOME to MY generation!!! 😀 (oh, and may I recommend you check out "Work Shit Out"? Your heads will spin 360 degrees on that one 😂) OH, ANOTHER THING, you might want to pre-record some reactions to their songs this week so the concert doesn't spoil the wonderful surprise we get to see on your faces. Release them once a week or month if you like, but your first reactions are PRICELESS!!!
It's funny to see you guys react to Dirty Loops. It's pretty standard procedure to have one's mind blown on each and every song. It's great to see music professionals reacting this way. Super stoked that you will be seeing them soon. It's a great show and YES, they are having as much fun as you think they are. Enjoy the show and keep reacting to DL's other songs. Each one brings its own joy and thrills (check out Thriller!!).
Got the VIP upgrade for the Montreal concert, totally worth it. Great to meet and chat with them. Very down-to-earth people. No idea why this band is not more recognized worldwide. Funny story about boys band: my girlfriend saw the Back Street Boys at the Quebec City Summer Festival. She texted me : "I am not seeing any musicians on the stage!" 70000 fans ended up at a karaoke gig...
You will not be disappointed by their live show. I saw them on Easter Sunday and I am still hype off of that show. This is my favorite song from them, so of course, I lost my natural mind when they played it. I hope they come back to the states when the new album comes out. Because I will go see them every single time at this point.
Next ... I'd check out Work Shit Out. You haven't even scratched the surface of their virtuosity... believe it or not! Also... Follow The Light [w/ Cory Wing]... & Thriller. Can't wait to witness your reaction. Enjoy!!
You won't be disappointed! I just saw them in Denver, did the VIP meet & greet before the show (they are sooooo nice) and they absolutely SLAYED everything. I was in the front row right in front of Henrik and it was all INCREDIBLE. I also saw them 10 years ago when they first toured the US. Check out "Work Shit Out" next!
Next level players! These guys are a real breath of fresh air! Check out Dirty Loops with Cory Wong - MJ's Thriller! Greetings from Newfoundland, Canada and keep up the great work!
Love this reaction! Your excitement and appreciation of their music was so fun to watch. I saw them in Salt Lake on April 6. Well worth seeing live, they are just phenomenal. Hope you enjoy your show and you will have to report back after you see them.
Love to see professional musicians dive down the DL rabbit hole! Great reaction! They are out of this world talented! No wonder Quincy Jones took them under his wings!
I’m happy that you’ll see them live! 😃 They are as playful live and you can’t mistake their joy of playing. Not to mention enjoying their music and skills. Hope you’ll have a great time!
Hey guys, cool channel! I'm also an engineer/musician and honestly digging your format. Any of the Dirty Loops collabs with Corey Wong & The Horn Heads is absolute fire (Turbo, Thriller, Follow The Light). I agree with the commenter earlier, you should check out Work Shit Out next. Mind blowing musicianship and sonically the best drum solo ever. The tone in that kit is freaky good. Also if you're really looking for face melting musicianship check out Snarky Puppy - Lingus. Corey Henry lets loose the most epic keyboard solo in the history of history and Larnell Lewis on drums is another genius alien freakazoid beyond master level player... He never played with the band, learned his drum parts in headphones on the plane ride over and performed within 24 hrs of landing. Absolute face melting stuff. Aliens. All of em lol
Yeah, but IMHO Snarky Puppy is maybe more about technical showing off and less about having fun? They are great musicians, no doubt about it though. Anyway, I enjoy listening and watching DL more 😊
So happy for you guys, thanks for a truly worthy reaction!!😍I saw them in September 2023 in Stockholm, and had a smile on my face for 27 hours and 12 minutes. Check out one of their first (if not the first song) on here, "Hit me!" 🙂 Thanks for a great couple of minutes! Cheers from Sweden.
Simply - the quintessential piece from their entire catalog in my opinion. Exhibits musicianship, songwriting, ridiculous vocals, and production quality in a tidy package.
I second, third and forth “Work Shit Out”. AND next band to check out - The Aristocrats. Another three piece of virtuosos. Only do their live stuff. Maybe start with live “Bad Asteroid”
Ha ha I loved this reaction, you’ve got some serious enjoyment to come if you haven’t heard much Dirty Loops. I went to see them in London the end of last year. Jonah sounds even better live…. Have the best time!!
Yes, you were right: Our generation had music like this all the time and no auto tune, just pure talent. My first listen to these guys and I am very impressed. Thank you Luvvies ☮
...😂....dying over here! Congratulations seeing them live - All I'm saying you're in for such a treat. Can't wait to hear all about it. Thanks for a great reaction. Saludos desde Valencia ✌️ 💚
Rock You, Follow the Light and Work Shit Out will get you started right. Saw them in Chicago last week and it was amazing the ending of this song live blew the ROOF off! Wow
Great reaction ! You also might want to check out on UA-cam ‘Songs For Lovers’ , Old Armando, Coffee Break etc some of their instrumental stuff , just brilliant ! 😊
Excellent reaction!! Just found you guys. Time to dive into the library. Liked and subbed. I've been a drummer for 50 years but am in no way close or even in the same galaxy as this guy. Boomer out
I recently saw them in Boston with my youngest child, who introduced me to them. They were having just as much on stage as you see in their videos. Check out anything from their earlier album Loopified, to see the talent they had even just doing covers, of course with their own style. A few months before that concert, we saw Snarky Puppy. If you want to see a lot (up to 20) of talented musicians play together, check them out. If you want, start with one of their most popular. Lingus.
I saw them live the first time in Amsterdam in 2013. After that I saw them 3 times live in the Netherlands. The last concert was in 2023 and they have being growing so much in creativity and musicality. I think I am a fan. 😂😂😂😂
Boys, Dirty Loops is a rabbit hole with no bottom and no ceiling...
Dirty loops is when every member is the best musician in the band
Same with Dream Theater! 👌🏻
I see this comment in every review…… because it is absolutely true! I can’t think of another group that this could be said about
@@マシュードーラン yes, but Dirty Loops can sing
”Work shit out” is one of my favourites. More jazz-funk-fusion and mainly instrumental with a fantastic piano solo as well as drum solo.
For a bass solo I love the one in their cover of Justin, not Timberlake 😉, but Bieber’s ”Baby”. Great fun watching your reactions!
Rock You and/or Follow the Light Next. Those are solid stank face songs. Work Shit Out will flat our just melt your face.
Follow the light! Can't stop watching new reactions to DL. My favorite thing on the tube. 🔥🙌❤️
Same, Anders ☺️👍🤘✌️
❤ DL
-Work Shit Out
-Follow The Light
-Thriller
In that order. Check em out!

Going from 🇬🇧 UK to Bergen in Norway the first weekend in May 24 to see them. Can’t wait
Their touring schedule is insane! And has been for a while now.
How do they maintain it?!
But get bro, enjoy that concert!! ✌️🤘✌️🤘
You have a nice little rabbit hole in front of you. Enjoy the concert, they are great live.
They absolutely take you to church with this one!
They also have a great ballad: Breakdown.
Yeah! What a great song.
You guys should for sure pump out more videos before you see them live.
1 Work shit out. 2 Rock you. 3 Follow the light. 4 World on fire. 5 Hit me.
Yes, that is a very good list!
They do all of those in the show. I just saw them in Salt Lake City. So much fun!!
Don’t forget Thriller!
First time I heard this song I listened to it literally 5 times in a row because I couldn’t believe my ears
Been there, done that ;) Discovered them about 5 years ago and couldn't wait for their concert which after postponing several times due to Covid took place last Year here in Estonia. ‘Follow the Light’ and ‘thriller’ by dirty loops with Cory Wong. You can’t go wrong.

“Work Shit Out” is the mandatory next stop on your journey down this rabbit hole. Congrats on stumbling onto the three best musicians in the world!
just a bit into this song, you mentioned MJ. You hit the nail on the head, because these guys are like a hyper-modern TOTO just WOW!
Maybe the best song ever!!! I just saw them in Nashville. They're freakishly amazing live! And this song, you think how can they do this live? And they crush it!! Watch BREAKDOWN next and Work Shit Out.
They all went to the royal music school in Sweden. Great band
Saw them in Charlotte 3 weeks ago…. Absolutely amazing….. I smiled the entire time!!!! Wait till you see Henrik tap the country-ish Song……. He has forgotten more about playing bass than I know

These guys are jazz/classically trained.

😂😂 Love your reaction❤️. Saw them live a couple of years ago and you are going to have an awesome time! Hope you through their whole catalogue 🙏
Fun fact: Jonah is the only voice you hear in this song. He overdubbed himself and tried to create different personalities in a gospel choire.
and, Aron wrote the vocal arrangement.
Best reaction to this track ever!! So fun! I hope you let us know how the gig goes 😮 big up from the UK 👍
So happy for you guys, thanks for a truly worthy reaction!!😍I saw them in September 2023 in Stockholm, and had a smile on my face for 27 hours and 12 minutes. Check out one of their first (if not the first song) on here, "Hit me!" 🙂

But again, NONE of their songs are bad. Indeed they are ALL masterpieces.

I saw them live the first time in Amsterdam in 2013. After that I saw them 3 times live in the Netherlands. The last concert was in 2023 and they have being growing so much in creativity and musicality. I think I am a fan. 😂😂😂😂
Love watching you guys watch this with engineers ears, because you notice shit so many others miss, love it.❤😉
