The A23 4G is one of the better A series Samsung phones this year in my opinion. But also the A0x and A0x Core phones are definitely gonna be 4G only for a couple more years, I would expect an A14 4G/5G as well, but no A15 4G.
Very good camera for the price with OIS (rare in this price range), good quality 1080p LCD display with 90hz, decent and effecient processor giving great battery life and stable software with one ui. This is a very well balanced phone which works better than the specs suggest. Plus it has a dedicated micro sd card slot and a headphone jack.
Samsung's are quite expensive here in Australia and their lower to mid tier phones are no exceptions. You can certainly get better phones for similar or even less money👍

Its the first time ive been in the market for a new phone in nearly 5 years. Didnt realise how much prices have gone up with phones. This phone seems to be more within my price range. Is upgrading to this from Note 9 worth it?
Why does your a23 only have 4/64GB? Out here in New Zealand every a23 I've seen advertised is 6/128GB, and at NZ$385 (USD $235) they're good value compared to lesser known brands. Sure it doesn't have 5G, but not all of us live in an area with 5G coverage and probably never will due to living out of town and 5G's limited range.
Exactly. Living in rural Victoria 5g coverage might as well be science fiction, we probably won't get it until 2030. This phone is a good budget upgrade from the a22 or older. Nothing spectacularly fancy but a decent modern workhorse.
I know this is in regards to the 4G version but there will be an A23 5G that will be released soon... do we know if the 5G version of this phone will be available in the US?

I wanted to buy a new cellphone because the mine was presenting some problems (maybe 'cause I had some time with mine). I bought it 1 year ago and I gonna give you my opinion about it. First, talking about its design, it's not big enough (for me) well, it's not the same size that I thought. Curiously, the phone is too heavy in spite of its size Then, about its characteristics, it's not fast enough. For this reason, it usually gets hot. Its screen is too dark and its camera isn't good enough. Also, the battery doesn't last enough and draw off quickly, it takes a long time for recharge! This cellphone is too expensive for it is worth. I think you can find better options for (even) less price.
Play store is fine for me. There is indeed OIS since some people say there isn't. I can even hear the rattle. Performance is a bit choppy though. The LCD is also not my favourite but it's fine. Overall I like my phone but with the A23 5G coming I can't recommend it.
