It's great to see you sharing your own adoption story. Being part of a family is soemthing not a lot of people in this world are privileged to have.

I can relate to you. I was adopted from Guatemala as well. I actually don’t know anything about my biological family … They believe my birth mother gave birth to me and left me at the orphanage giving me the name Maria Garcia . She did come check on me one last time, but that was the last time they had seen her . She never gave her name and they aren’t 100% sure that my birthday is even correct. I would like to know one day who my biological family is , but honestly I don’t think that will ever happen…
    Wishing you the best ❤

Wow! What an interesting story. I feel those curious emotions too, because it's something we don't know about our past and was out of our control. I'm hoping one day you can find your biological family❤Thank you for sharing!!:)

Interesting! My sisters and I took swimming lessons with two girls who were also adopted from Guatemala when we were younger! That was great for you to open up about your adoption story! Even though Guatemala isn’t open for international adoptions anymore, you could always look into adopting from other countries that are similar like Colombia, Ecuador, or Honduras! That way you could have a kid or a few that share your Hispanic heritage

Thank you for sharing your story here on UA-cam Maria. Adoption is special and unique for everyone involved. I was adopted myself and share my own journey but it still continues. I am still trying to find more of my extended birth family but like me I am sure you agree, a journey never stops. Thank you for sharing!

I was adopted from Guatemala as well. I was told I was born in Sololá, and came to the US in January ‘07 at 18 months. Guatemala stopped allowing adoptions in January ‘08, so I’m very lucky and grateful to be here. The government actually gave me the name Santiago, and my parents decided to keep it to honor that part of my identity. As of right now I know nothing about where I came from or who my parents are and probably never will. Thank you for sharing your story. It makes me feel like I’m not alone in this.

When I saw the title of this video I literally laughed out loud and was like , “girl, same!” I was adopted from Guatemala when I was 4 months old and grew up in New Jersey My birth mom was illiterate too and I have no info on my birth father. I only have 1 picture of her, it’s nice your birth mom sent you coins to you! I feel the same way about adoption as you. Glad your adoption was a positive one, so was mine! We definitely got lucky 😊

Seems like a happy well-adjusted person. We have many Guatemalans in our city and I can tell you that no way is she 100%. She is at least 1/2 white.

Thanks, I've always tried my best to be happy! And I see where you're coming from. It's because I don't go outside and get sun (like I used to a lot). I also wear a lot of makeup. Without makeup, I definitely look more Guatemalan :D

It's good that you are sharing to the public about your adoption story. I searched you up on Famous birthday like a few months ago and it said you were adopted and I got happy how you are a happy and smart person and I didn't judge that you were adopted I was happy for the person you have became!
