Just started the video, so I don't know if Llama mentions it later, but Ravens are really good for Summon Druids. He mentions the good damage they do but he hasn't mentioned the fact that you can control your Ravens. Whenever you summon a Raven with an enemy targeted all your active Ravens will focus that target. This is great for blinding dangerous ranged mobs or quickly killing Boss mobs. For example if you run into a group of Souls you can target summon one so all your ravens attack and kill one. After the first one is dead, let your Raven's AI target for a moment so they can blind a couple different Souls. Then after your proc a few blinds focus fire the rest one a time by target summoning on them. The tricky part is your Ravens will leash back to you if you back up too far. So if you want them to focus a target you need to make sure you stay within their leash range. This mechanic makes the Summon Druid much more interactive and more fun.
I'll keep saying it just because others seem to agree. For the Playthroughs especially on the ones where the character has been "fixed" or Buffed by a Patch, is a new(er) Build, and or is a lesser played/known Build to have some sort of Before and After idea. By that I mean the viewers get to see what the Build plays like in real time while leveling and gaining Gear. They get to see the struggles and the strengthening of the Character all the way through to whatever difficulty you're doing. Once the Character has completed Hell, have on a Shared Stash items the Character would/will wear for End Game Builds. Then show off for a bit what a fully decked out version of that Character plays like, and the differences in playstyle, damage output, clearing speed, and a preview of what they have to potentially look forward to if Building this Character in the future or alongside Llama during. It would only add like 5 to 10 additional minutes to the video besides some added prep needed to put the End Game items or options in a Shared Stash. (Which if need be could be done via Hero Editor considering this is simply for show and to help teach or direct other players in their own games.)
The way you described the lama arpg would work really reminds me of the game Freedom force its basically a top down hero game where you would play in real time but if you pressed like right click it would put the game in pause and you would get a scroll menu with actions and skills you can cast depending on the difficulty the game would pause or use various degrees of slow motion from like 90% slow motion to 50% slow motion during skill selection
The thing that would move a pure summoner druid from middle-tier to top-tier is a method for breaking physical immunity. Fire druids roll over everything that isn't fire-immune, and summoners to the same to everything that isn't physically immune.
Yeah, I agree with the Edgers. Having that on switch once you're at the Ancients or in the Worldstone chamber might have made things go just a bit faster. And any kind of CB on the merc would also have been good, as you pointed out.
After seeing the power of the current summon druid for chill untwinked play I knew it would be the perfect character to be able introduce my 4 year old to D2R with.
Hi Mr Llama.. would you consider making a video explaining different stats in Diablo and what all they effect? Like what does defense, resistance, attack rating, crushing blow, etc do. Just a high level. I know for some you could spend an entire video fully explaining. But I think it would be interesting for sure
Just off the top of my head crushing blow is kind of like static in that it reduces hp by a percentage. Top tier ability although effectiveness is reduced against bosses and at higher difficulties you still definitely want it if your a physical attacker. Resistance is simpler than newer games. Its how much you reduce element damage by. Example 60% fire resistance means you take 60% less fire damage. Attack rating affects your chance to hit with physical/melee attacks. Your level is also a big factor in chance to hit. Defense affects your chance to not get hit it doesn't reduce damage any. And it only matters if your walking or standing still. Defense is 0 when running making it a stat thats usually not a big priority
You can make summoner with missile weapon (Hunter build) if you want more active participation. You can even add 1 point into Werebear and Shock Wave for certain situations. You probably don't need Shock Wave for players 1 though, so you can focus on your missile damage, maybe support it with Heart of Wolverine.
Hi mrllama, your videos are what got me back to D2. About llamaRPG, are you planning to release it for nintendo switch as well ? I don't know if you have already answered that.
This build is surprisingly good; some hell LK runs to find a good base for a hustle for Fanaticism would have been cool, but then there's a matter of what merc to give it to. Act 5 probably best or act 2, both with a life steal helm. Overall not bad though.
and i keep sayin, sig shield with socket, spirit sword, sig boot, belt shield will give a LOT of res, defense, and mf......and BEST place to find a white Broad sword is NORM cows because of how easy and fast it is.....
hmmm, I wonder if you can use a Merc to boost up the damage of your pets and you can make a Fanaticism to boost your pets? If possible, you can have 2 dmg buffs
Heart of the Wolverine is much better than Oak Sage because it's easy to keep minions alive and re-summoned. You minions don't really have much enhanced damage besides the 200% from max bear so getting might merc and Heart of the Wolverine just makes killing so much faster.
Can the next playthrough be a challange one where you have to do all P8 with a melee toon but you can start with 5 runes of your choice at the start of the game?
They help a lot against physical immunes. Even if you can break immunity having 5 maxed out spirit wolves hitting an elite/boss really makes a difference
I forget what it requires but bramble seems like ot would be good for a summon druid. Get a good level thorns aura on all of them. A offensive aura merc would also be quite good .
Act 1 merc with Edge does the job quickly, cheaply, and survivably. (And yes, Thorns on a summoner build will rip through Act bosses because of the damage multiplication on Act bosses against minions)
No my man they are both unique classes. The Necro works with skeleton varieties mage and melee, golem varieties about 4 or 5 and then the actual minions of diablo with revive. The Druid is your nature friend with wolves bears ravens and a handful of underground vine like worms with different utility. Both are very different making this game that much better than the newer games imo
I hate to admit it, but when you mentioned that one cannot simply copy and paste from Diablo 3, I couldn't help but think it's because that game isn't very good. :D
D4 is ok. Needs a lot of work. Was released too early. Besides the fact where’s our namesake? Where’s Diablo? I was pissed he wasn’t even mentioned. Personally I’m let down on that.
D4 is dogshit. You can't polish a turd, I'm sorry to say. A lot of design decisions just dont make sense in an aRPG. An MMO? Sure. But is it an MMO or an aRPG? It tries to be both, and fails miserably at either.

LOL "The Lost City... which you can see from town"
I've never noticed that

Ahhhhhh, back to D2, a game that doesn't suck.
Wasn’t that great when it first came out
The way you described the lama arpg would work really reminds me of the game Freedom force its basically a top down hero game where you would play in real time but if you pressed like right click it would put the game in pause and you would get a scroll menu with actions and skills you can cast depending on the difficulty the game would pause or use various degrees of slow motion from like 90% slow motion to 50% slow motion during skill selection

If we're talking about entertainment to money spent, then D2 is the best investment I've ever made lol In 23 years I've bought it twice.
The Summoner, "A sight for sore Eyes, to the blind would be awful majestic".
The more I hear about llama rpg, the more I like. Can't wait.
Yeah, I agree with the Edgers. Having that on switch once you're at the Ancients or in the Worldstone chamber might have made things go just a bit faster. And any kind of CB on the merc would also have been good, as you pointed out.
Would be fun to see you do a mind psychic assassin run.
After seeing the power of the current summon druid for chill untwinked play I knew it would be the perfect character to be able introduce my 4 year old to D2R with.

@@procow2274I'm pretty sure he has one video about that already
Now this is commitment rainbow builds are not easy to pull off… unless your the god gamer mrlamma god gamer 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Fellow goalie. Fun stuff man.

i feel like they needed to give the bear crushing blow. 2% chance per level?
GG that was alot of fun
I think Llama RPG will be great would like to see a counterattack chance or option would make the turn based stuff more interesting.
Hi mrllama, your videos are what got me back to D2.
About llamaRPG, are you planning to release it for nintendo switch as well ?
I don't know if you have already answered that.
I just wanna see rainbow zon. Passivezon ftw!

What do you think of PoE 2? Are you going to try it since D4 does not reach our expectations?
and i keep sayin, sig shield with socket, spirit sword, sig boot, belt shield will give a LOT of res, defense, and mf......and BEST place to find a white Broad sword is NORM cows because of how easy and fast it is.....

Also hotw ,might etc .Doesn’t boost SW now bc of the cold damage.I wish they just kept them physical damage.

Would edge bow and spirit of barbs stack?
Can you stack thorns with a bow yourself and a bow on the merc
Can the next playthrough be a challange one where you have to do all P8 with a melee toon but you can start with 5 runes of your choice at the start of the game?
Aren’t the spirit wolves kind of useless though in hell. Because now they do cold damage.

MrLlama when are you gonna upgrade your camera?
I will say, PD2 had it right with a second bear
came to talk shit about how he's still playing d2 instead of 4 but somehow couldn't stop watching as he cleared cows.. smh
Yeeee
Summoner in hell?? You're a sick man lol
Double Dream paladin % :D
Is the necro summon tree the same as the druid summon tree?
No my man they are both unique classes.
The Necro works with skeleton varieties mage and melee, golem varieties about 4 or 5 and then the actual minions of diablo with revive.
The Druid is your nature friend with wolves bears ravens and a handful of underground vine like worms with different utility.

"Alright, we're halfway through his B" he has to know about phrasing, right?
After i watched this i played a bit and the 1st gc i identified was a 40 life druid summoning skiller on single player p8 tz sewers.
I hate to admit it, but when you mentioned that one cannot simply copy and paste from Diablo 3, I couldn't help but think it's because that game isn't very good. :D
Its WOLF not woof. Or wooferine
Diablo 3 has so many rare and legendaries drop that my brother and I just stopped using them and started using regular gear. It's too easy otherwise.
Where is your mercenary lol?
Mr Llama, ur game will have a spanish option ? you have latin fans, remember that
Classical Llama NPC, I am NPC I want to make other people NPC like me
🌈
I buy it for the story and it was terrible! Diablo wasnt a BOSS!? OMG
D4 is ok. Needs a lot of work. Was released too early. Besides the fact where’s our namesake? Where’s Diablo? I was pissed he wasn’t even mentioned. Personally I’m let down on that.
