The second strike, when Skarloey said "Out of my way! I can't stop!" Rusty stopped right in the middle of the junction and when Skarloey crashed into Rusty's ice cream. When the Michael's say that Rusty felt cross, I was like "That was your own fault, Rusty!"
It was clear that Hit Entertainment didn't understand Skarloey. They seem him as a cute little child-like engine, when in fact he's like really old. Thank God they brought his character back in Blue Mountain Mystery.
Or make them flashback episodes showing skarloey and rheneas doing immature and reckless things during their youth just like in railway series during the victorian era
I think these Skarloey episodes would have worked if They were set in the same timeline of where Skarloey and Rheneas had no cabs. and Skarloey can tell the stories to young Engines like Peter Sam and Duncan To teach Them some kind of lesson. As for push me pull you I think this episode would have worked If it had Bertram had the main role You see in this rewrite when Bertram was tasked to pull the puppet show special he didn't want to ask for any help Because He was sure he can do It's by himself but when he's Splash in to Percival Pond by accident after his brakes failed and Duke help Him He learned that Teamwork is much better than doing it by yourself wouldn't that make a much better plotline
And fearless freddie will have sir handel, peter sam, duncan and duke, with freddie mentioning the msr and Skarloey, Rusty, Rheneas, Duke and bertram being the straight engines.
I've never really cared for Push Me Pull You, it literally gets me confused to whether... "Does this take place when Skarloey was once a young engine or something?" and then I was like... "This is NOT Skarloey" after a while. I wonder what HIT Entertainment was thinking when thinking of personalities of the narrow-gauge characters.
Skarloey when from a wise old engine for season 4 to childish and out of character in the HiT era, but thankfully they brought back old wise Skarloey back in the Cgi series. hope they make him in the new wooden railway line someday :)
I really agreed about Push Me Pull You being the worst Narrow Gauge episode overall. It’s just Skarloey and Rheneas were ridiculously out of character. Not only that, the crashes were dumb as hell. If there were physic where Skarloey crashes on Duncan, then he would’ve come of the rails after hitting on Duncan’s Train. Not to mention, that the concept is dumb and model work is just freaking meh. I don’t know why did Rusty and Duncan stopped on the middle of junction which I also hate. Such an awful way to end the Narrow Gauge Engines’ appearance in the Model Era.
what’s funny is that in the classic era skarloey is old wise father figure and sir handel was the young fool who this he knows best when in the hit era it’s the other way around.
Aw damn these episodes really gives me bad vibes looking at them years later. I wouldn’t mind if it was from a different engine, but using an existing one like Skarloey is so out of place.

If I were to fix “Push Me, Pull You” I would replace Skarloey with Duncan, and replace Rheneas with Rusty, cause they would sometimes argue about who is right. I know that’s probably overused, but hey, it would make more sense, wouldn’t it?
Out of the episodes you put on this my least favorite is Skarloey the brave and Push Me Pull you. I think the episode Iron Bridge is a good episode because like you said it has a good message of overcoming your fears. I can't wait for you next video!
I’m not of fan that hit made skarloey a child instead of his older and wiser until the cgi version brought back his original older and wiser once again
Here's how I would fix the episodes: 1: Skarloey the Brave with Peter Sam. 2: Push Me, Pull You but with Sir Handel as the main character. 3: The Grand Opening with Smudger. 4: The Old Bridge with Peter Sam. 5: Skarloey Storms Through with Mighty Mac. Unsure if these would work.
I think skarloey the brave should’ve been about duke telling everyone about when smudger went up the incline but then the winch broke and he crashed into the a goods train
Honestly it would feel almost illegal for Push Me Pull you to not show up. I've already made fun of the episode and i think it's one of the worst from the HiT era as a whole.
Throughout the HiT era, Skarloey's either a spineless coward or a reckless idiot. And "Push Me, Pull You" is definitely him at his worst in the latter category. (Wharf and Peace is the worst on the coward side)
Are you just gonna ignore the fact that the Push Me, Pull You part that Rusty literally made a El Stupido moment and stopped in the middle of the tracks?
I may have to go for push me pull you, I think it's meh and to top it all off Skarloey's voice can be pretty mixed sometimes it could be passable and others, pretty irritating
I agree that Push Me Pull You can kiss my butt (not really)! Such a backstabbing episode if you ask me! I’m not so sure Sharon Miller had to write this episode due to what the producers telling her to do that. This episode is totally my least favorite episode of all time, and my heart can handle watching it from start to finish. So here’s how I would treat Push Me Pull you. So I change the episode title to Backwards Runaway. The episode starts off when Skarloey is working at the coal mines when the yard manager tells Skarloey that 15 coal cars are to be delivered to the wharf since the other engines are unavailable. Skarloey agrees and couples up to cars and sets off to Crovans Gate Wharf. Once Skarloey stops at a red signal to make way for Duncan’s passenger train he meets Rheneas. Rheneas tells Skarloey that the mountain hills are steep and asks for some help. Skarloey politely says no thank you to Rheneas. Once Duncan passes by with his passenger train Skarloey toots hello to Duncan and Duncan blows his whistle hello back as he’s out of sight. Then a few minutes later the signal changes to green and Skarloey continues on with his train. He reaches to bottom of the hill as his cars begin to hold him back. Skarloey doesn’t want to give up as he crawls up the hill when a chain coupling snapped as suddenly 7 cars picked up speed backwards. Skarloey and his driver realize what had happened and chased their runaway cars. Meanwhile Rusty is at a broken signal (but in a different location) when he sees Skarloey’s coal cars speeding up towards him and Rusty tries his best to speed up but it he doesn’t have enough time to pick up speed as the cars crash into him making derail. Luckily no one gets hurt as Skarloey finally stops the rest of his train and sees Rusty not to damaged while the coal makes a mess. Skarloey decides to deliver the rest of his coal to the wharf while Rheneas gets the brake down cranes before Skarloey returns to help Rusty back onto the tracks. Mr Percifal investigates the problem that the couplings are old and need new ones. As some of the undamaged coal cars are back onto the tracks, Skarloey delivers them to the wharf before he pulls Rusty to the works before he gets assigned to take some wood to the transfer yard. A day later, Rusty gets mended and thanks Skarloey for rescuing him. And Skarloey apologizes about his train. And that’s how the story ends.
I used to love these episodes but I now after rewatching the episodes there very bad and I personally think they should have introduced Ivo Hugh and replace Skarloey in all the episodes that spotlighted him Hit Era should have given us that character not the oldest and wiser engine like Skarloey! Not to mention I really hate Micheal Brandon's voice for Skarloey he sounds like a whiny little toddler! Great Video Trevor! ❤❤❤❤
Id switch Skarloey with Chibi Thomas ( Im calling him that since you treat Aeg like plague , plus I'm thinking of a headcannon where both Thomas's co exist , like dr evil and mini me in Austin Powers) and have him learn the same big T ( Og Thmas ) learned
My top 5 least favorite Skarloey episodes in my opinion. 5. The Old Iron Bridge. 4. Skarloey Storms Through. 3. Wharf And Peace. 2. Skarloey The Brave. 1. Push Me, Pull Me.
Yeah, I used to watch this Episode quite a bit, But hearing it from Trevor's Opinion, It does make sense why it would be like a D in Grading, & Is it just me, or does it remind you of Sharron Miller Episodes?
Awesome choices! I can understand how you feel, as I was confused on Skarloey's change of character when I watched series 8-12. Well, everyone, really. But I didn't understand why Skarloey had to be like a child. And I must say, I didn't like where "Skarloey the Brave" was going. I considered that my number 1 worst... I haven't seen "Push Me, Pull You", "Wharf and Peace" and "Skarloey Storms Through", but they all sound so horrible. "The Old Bridge" was terrible too. However, I didn't mind "The Grand Reopening" all that much, but I can understand why you hate it.
A brilliant list. Here are my opinions on each episode in order of air date: Skarloey the Brave: My gosh, this episode sucks. Don't get me wrong, the model work is really nice and so is the music, but those are about the only good things about this episode. Skarloey is just so immature here, and I think Duncan would've been a better choice for the lead role. By far the worst Season 9 episode and the worst Skarloey episode for me. 2/10 Wharf and Peace: This will probably be controversial, but I actually don't mind this episode. Yeah, Skarloey was the wrong choice for the lead role, but I think if you ignore the fact that he's the star, then it's actually a pretty good episode with a nice message. Besides, LittleBlueTrain67 did a brilliant adaptation of the episode in his series where he replaced Skarloey with Molly, which was undeniably better. Not the best episode, but it's decent at best for me. 6/10 Skarloey Storms Through: Again, this'll be controversial, but I don't hate this episode. Again, Skarloey was the wrong choice for the lead role, but again, I think if you pretend he's not the main character of the episode, then it's actually not as bad. I also quite like the visuals in this episode. Season 11 has some nice visuals in general for me, but this episode has some of the best I've seen in that season. Once again, it has a relevant message that can be used to this day, but they really should've known better than to use Skarloey as the lead role. Not great, but I think this episode gets too much hate. 5/10 Push Me, Pull You: I completely understand why this was your number 1, and believe me, I hate this episode too, but I don't think it's as bad as people say it is. By this point, it's kind of expected for Skarloey to be out of character, so I'm more just disappointed than downright enraged by this episode. I can see why people think it's the worst of Season 12, but for me, Henry Gets it Wrong will always be much worse. Even though I don't think it's as bad as people say it is, I can't ignore the fact that they ruined Skarloey's personality in this episode. 3/10 Also, as a side note, I really like The Old Bridge, but I can handle your opinion on it. I've done a whole review on the episode if you want to check it out. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/gO91GwIIARM/v-deo.html
I personally think Wharf and Peace, Skarloey Storms Through and Skarloey the Brave are OK overall, I think all of Skarloey and Rheneas’ episodes of Season 7-11 could work if they were told as flashback stories to Skarloey an Rheneas’ Yonger Years, Push Me Pull You on the other hand is an exception, Skarloey and Rheneas act so immature that i doute even their younger selves would act like this, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think puppet shows existed in the 1800s
@@TrevortheTrainFanSomething very inconsistent I should mention, I know you mentioned a long time ago also mentioned listening to the original UK dub of Season aka the official start of Angelis' downgraded narration just to hear the original music, but then in your Top Duncan episodes for the S7 episode The Runaway Elephant, why mention Brandon's narration when Duncan driver (aka engineer) screams "LOOK OWL-T!"? Also, I don't think I've told you this before, I also told many others that all the Season 7 episodes with Brandon's narration and Mike & Junior music combined (aka the possible original intended US dub of S7) are now available on UA-cam if you just type in MB original music.
@@TrevortheTrainFan Whichever dub you pick is fine, I just find it very inconsistent when people/fans go back and forth between the UK and US dubs depending on which season or era of the show you're watching instead of sticking with only one dub the whole way, I being American (if i eventually make a UA-cam channel and a whole review the entire show) will only and consistently be using the US dub, and then there's many Brits like James A Williams who consistently watch the UK dub only, sure he might've used a few clips of the US dub, but that was only so he could explain why he hates the US dub. But again, if you just want to erratically have a mixture of different narrations or terminology, that's fine, continue to do that, there's no reason to be ashamed of following certain rules in the fandom.
You forgot to mention one more thing that was also stupid in the episode Push Me Pull You. In the second strike, rusty wasn't any better either. He stopped in the middle of the crossing.
Like you and many others in the comments, I agree these episodes would’ve worked so better if they were set during Skarloey’s youth. His childish behaviour would then make so much more sense: of course he’s going to act silly and do stupid things. Who hasn’t in their youth?
Trevor that train isn't even heavy skarloey has pulled pools slate another stuff for crying out loud and the puppet show is the hardest train he's ever pulled yeah right like hell that train is heavy also in the second strike skarloey wasn't being the only idiot in this situation Rusty's idiotic dumbass stops in the middle of the crossing after skarloey literally shout at him to move out of his way and yet you didn't talk about that I don't like sound like a man-child but that's what happens when you make rookie mistakes like that
I swear Skarloey acts like a freaking child during the Hit Era, however he acts more mature in the Miller Era all the way to the BWBA Era.

I can see why people think it's the worst of Season 12, but for me, Henry Gets it Wrong will always be much worse. Even though I don't think it's as bad as people say it is, I can't ignore the fact that they ruined Skarloey's personality in this episode. 3/10
Also, as a side note, I really like The Old Bridge, but I can handle your opinion on it. I've done a whole review on the episode if you want to check it out. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/gO91GwIIARM/v-deo.html
American characters interesting and can you rank the hit seasons when you’re done it’s that video
Did You Know, "The Old Bridge" Episode Was Meant To Be a Message About PTSD?
No I didn’t actually.
You mean 1800s? And to be fair, there WERE some puppet shows back then, especially with the original Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
@@randomnessetc5600 Because I was more used to the US narration in general?
Not only it's the Worst Skarloey episode, But it's the Worst Season 12 Episode.
Skarloey really got butchered during the HiT Era, huh?
"Push Me, Pull You" is just awful.
Do you know tcc (thomas creator collective)
Yes.
@@TrevortheTrainFan btw what is your Opinion to Steady Eddie (season 12 ep 2)
@@iamatrainfan It’s meh 😑
@@TrevortheTrainFan oh 😳
You forgot to mention one more thing that was also stupid in the episode Push Me Pull You. In the second strike, rusty wasn't any better either. He stopped in the middle of the crossing.
I knew that!
@@TrevortheTrainFan Also, did the puppet train looked heavy to you?
@@KTWhatsup I don’t think so. Why?
@@TrevortheTrainFan I've seen other people claim nothing on that load looks heavy.
Push me pull me is the worst end of model narrow gauge engine episode ever
Great top 3! My worst is definitely Skarloey The Brave
i've seen a worse episode waiting an episode of spongebob squarepants.
I would say Dunkin Duncan is better than Skarloey The Brave
Do you ever wish you can go back to ur past
Well, I DO wish I was a little kid 👦 again because I am sick and tired of being an adult.
@@TrevortheTrainFan really me too I hate being 16 years old
Skarloey Was A Idiot In The Hit Era
0:59 I thought Skarloey’s deep voice suited him, but that’s just my opinion, I can handle yours 👍
My least favorite is Skarloey the Brave. Rating, 7/10.
Like you and many others in the comments, I agree these episodes would’ve worked so better if they were set during Skarloey’s youth. His childish behaviour would then make so much more sense: of course he’s going to act silly and do stupid things. Who hasn’t in their youth?
I was a stupid kid back in my youth, but as time went by, I became a better person.
Any hit entertainment episodes with skarloey is bad
The Absolute Worst Episode Starring Skarloey Is Obviously Push Me Pull You.
I think “Push me Pull you” is the show’s worst episode
6:37 HORRAY!!!!! 😄👏
i would rather have Skarloey be an old and wise engine not a young stupid and immature one
I like Push Me, Pull You😍
Trevor that train isn't even heavy skarloey has pulled pools slate another stuff for crying out loud and the puppet show is the hardest train he's ever pulled yeah right like hell that train is heavy also in the second strike skarloey wasn't being the only idiot in this situation Rusty's idiotic dumbass stops in the middle of the crossing after skarloey literally shout at him to move out of his way and yet you didn't talk about that I don't like sound like a man-child but that's what happens when you make rookie mistakes like that
