Trevor Davis Exactly and even though I do like seasons 1-12 a.k.a the model series, as I consider them the true seasons and gold era of Thomas, I do like seasons 13-16 a little bit but nowhere as much as 1-12, but there is no reason to hate on Sharon Miller. This is exactly why I think that best friends which is the final episode of season 12 as well as the final model episode should’ve been the SERIES finale as opposed to the SEASON finale.
Sharon Miller isn't necessarily a bad person by anything. Her writing could have been improved. Her writing from Seasons 9 to 12 was hit and miss. But her writing from Seasons 13 through 16 was abysmal (with a few exceptions). I just think she did a better job with her voice directing and being the voice of the Queen of England. Oh, and did you know that Sharon Miller wrote an episode of Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build? Yeah. Push just comes to shove that she isn't a bad person at all.

as bad as the Sharon Miller era was, at least it didn't throw out two of it's main characters, there wasn't any bouncing, Thomas wasn't the narrator, and the engines still feel like working machines. (misty island doesn't count) the only major flaw was the writing. if that was fixed, this era could have been an improvement.
Now I know how bad the Miller Era is. Maybe I can build a time machine, so I can go back in time and tell Miller to stop doing the formula and add realism to this Era.
The only positive thing I can say about the Miller era is that the CGI is actually pretty decent compared to season 12's CGI. And the music and songs were actually pretty good as well. But at the end of the day, a good story is what truly matters.

I agree this era was bad, but I feel the BWBA era was worse. With the Miller era, it was mostly down to HIT being clueless but not malicious. They had no clue what to do with Thomas. Whereas BWBA actively went out of its way mock Awdry's legacy. Mattel was extremely and openly malicious with the BWBA era.

My Top 10 Worst Thomas & Friends Episodes: 10. *Toby’s Discovery* - I like Season 5, which is my favorite season of all time, but the only episode I don’t like is Toby’s Discovery, because of the two things: Toby being too chicken (which means being a scaredy-cat) and Bertram, a pointless character only made for merchandise. 9. *Middle Engine* - Not just Toby’s discovery is one of the worst episodes of the classic series, but also Middle Engine. Arry and Bert don’t get blamed by the fat controller, and instead the episode blames Percy and James instead. 8. *Big Belle* - Belle is an idiot in the episode, and it’s just too forgettable. 7. *Henry’s Magic Box* - Henry is a god damn whimp. 6. *Skarloey the Brave* - Skarloey is so f**ked-up, because he goes on a winch, breaks it and crashes, which is so dangerous. He is also acting childish and idiotic. How did HIT mess this up?!?! 5. *Fiery Flynn* - Flynn is idiotic, and the narrator says “Firebox on Fire”??? IT’S A GOD DAMN FIREBOX!!! James in the dark was an episode that I don’t like because, James should know better that lamps are silly because I’ve seen him wear a lamp before in the model era and wearing without a lamp in the dark is dangerous. He returned in the Missing Christmas Decorations where it was revealed in the end that he was inside the Dieselworks for two years, which makes sense because it takes place two years after the events of Day of the Diesels. However, you've made a good point. How did Sidney survive a fire like that? He would've gotten scrapped because of it!
That's Greg Tiernan. He was the director of Thomas & Friends from 2008 to 2012. He also treated the animators very poorly during the production of Sausage Party. I used to have respect for the guy until the Sausage Party BTS controversy was revealed back in August of 2016.

Besides day of the diesels. I literally can't stand the Sharon miller era. I literally skip from season 6 to season 17. (I'm not sure who wrote 7-12. But i dont like those seasons either. The "HIT"era, but 13-16 is SUCH GARBAGE) Seasons 17-21 brings back the fun and charm from the original 6 six seasons. But then MATTEL had to go and ruin it again in season 22-current.
@LordSheevy98 Technically. Because it's from the Director of 1-6. But For the Us anyway. This season was the start of the downfall. First. The writting became way more simplistic. And the new narrator Michael Brandon Didn't help. He talks slow and condescendingly to the audience to the point of being unwatchable. The new soundtrack while having some good tracks can't compare to the Original soundtrack. So while yes it is. It's more similar to 8-12 which is Why I and Most people see it as separate from 1-6.
Sharon Miler is the Thomas & Friends version of Merriweather Willams. Both were good writers in different shows, but Willams only wrote 2 good episodes. Hearts warming eve, and bats. I don’t hate Willams, same for Miller, I just think that they both need just a little bit of help.
The Miller Era was a big part of me growing up, and I thought it was good when I was a wee baby. Now looking back I simply don't care for it, I don't hate it ... But I don't like it. I just simply don't care.
Okay I think I know why their 2 narrow gauge engine episodes in season 16 I hear season 13 going to have 30 episodes but 10 of them have to push to season 14 every season first 10 episodes from the previous season the first half of season 14 of from 13 and the rest is 14 half season 15 is 14 and the rest 15 and half of season 15 and rest is 16 that’s why The login locos, misty island, and the search and rescue centre didn’t appear on to the second half of season 14 why belle Flynn den and dart and the diesel works not focus until of season 15
Here are my worst episodes written by her (Plus episodes from S9-11 included; no this is not intended to be bad mouthing Miller as a person). #10: "Thomas' Tall Friend" - Whilst I do like the concept of the Sodor Animal Park, this suffers to poor execution. Hell, it's got a really stupid plot that turned this episode into a filler episode. How so? Thomas trying to get the giraffe to sit down is nothing but really boring and lazy filler, that is until when the giraffe does sit down. That's all what this episode's plot is. #9: "The Magic Lamp" - Are you kidding? You expect me to believe in some so-called "magic lamp"? The purpose Proteus serves is just so bland. He has very little to no personality at all other than he has some magic lamp and that's it. Also, a headlamp cannot be magical. I don't mind lack of realism, but here it's ridiculous. The plot is also really boring and very little to care about. Also, I apologize to those that like Proteus, but I understand he was meant to get the story a move on. But even with that said, I can't excuse why he is very underdeveloped to the point he is only there for the merchandising and nothing more. I wouldn't mind if he was like Merlin as both have something in common, but sadly, that wasn't the case. #8: "Percy the Snowman" - I like the title of the episode as it's a very close reference to Frosty the Snowman, and I do like the inside Season 5 reference of Percy's face popping out of the snow, but this episode already has an inexcusable plot. Why can't Thomas go and get Percy help like he promised? Why would the narrator say 'They have never seen a snow engine before' when that doesn't work because Oliver was a snow engine in Season 7? Yes, that really is a plot hole, I swear I didn't make this up. And how can Thomas not see Percy if he shoved all the snow throughout the goddamn episode? Need I say more why this is bad? #7: "Express Coming Through" - A rehash of "Seeing the Sights" from Season 10. I'm sorry, but this doesn't try to be like "A Big Day for Thomas", it fails to be like it instead it rehashes and recycles the plot from a Season 10 episode I already mentioned, except it was wasted to shit writing. The concept of Thomas taking the express has been done before! How can they make a plot hole that he never pulled the express train before? Well, that show they made Thomas act like a beginner engine on Sodor all over again back in Season 12 with "Saved You!" being the destruction to the main character (except that one wasn't written by Miller), except they portrayed him so brain-dead and dumb throughout S12-16. #6: "Fiery Flynn"/"Race to the Rescue" - For "Fiery Flynn"; everything about this episode is terrible. Okay, I do find Flynn asking Edward that he's not on fire pretty funny. But everything else just sucks. Den and Dart swapping their voices was plain weird, Thomas' firebox having an explosion inside him was never fully explained why, the lines "His firebox was on fire!" was memorable for all the worst reasons, Edward and Gordon serve no purpose, there is too much narration, there is very little to no common logic once, and Flynn in this episode is just the fucking worst in S15-16. He comes off as too stupid to the point he can't do anything right. For "Race to the Rescue"; Flynn is a freaking wimp and coward throughout. What? He is constantly too scared to go on the road? Not only they made him a dumbass, but they managed to make Flynn act like a fucking pussy. Also, him not being on the road for a long time was never even fully explained why. So yes, it is an awful episode. And also, when did Sir Topham Hatt live inside a shed? Did his wife just kick him out of the house or something? #5: "Bust My Buffers!" - No strikes of any kind, thank goodness. Plus, I do like Salty saying that an engine without a bufferbeam (or even a cowcatcher) is against the rules of the railway. But this episode is still AWFUL! It is the Thomas the Tank Engine equivalent of a Squidward Torture Scenario episode, except it's WORSE than any of the poorly written Squidward Torture episodes like "Smooth Jazz at Bikini Bottom" or ". This one treats Gordon unfairly. Mavis, Den, Dart, and Salty are blind in this episode as instead of taking him to the Sodor Steamworks, they have to have him in the Dieselwork because he has to get a diesel bufferbeam. I know Gordon was boasting in the beginning of the episode, but the way he is treated sucks. What is worse is that Diesel, 'Arry and Bert don't get punished. They caused a lot of shit. And no, not even the ending where Gordon thanks Den and Dart makes any difference. If I were Gordon, I'd rather get my revenge and go to the Sodor Steamworks to get his old bufferbeam fixed. FUCK... THIS.... EPISODE! #4: "Henry's Magic Box" - Boring filler as it's just Henry being concerned about his box without any reason. Also, Henry has no reason to be concerned about a box, even if it was a box full of Christmas trees. #3: "Up, Up, and Away" - I put this on #3 instead of #1 because you put it on #1, Trevor. For me, a lot of the things this episode makes no sense. But to be fair with you, the concept of the huge balloons on the flatbed may have been used again in "Dowager Hatt's Busy Day", but the way they used it again was only made to make fun of the bad writing from Seasons 12-16. Am I going to explain why this episode is stupid? Let's be honest, Thomas and Percy are complete idiots throughout. #2: "Thomas' Frosty Friend" - Why was I okay with this episode? It's just a miserable episode that is stuck with this running gag where Thomas believes a snowman is following him around, but it turns out it was only a balloon. I do like how the snow balloon is made, but even that thing is not enough to save this episode. and #1: "Don't Be Silly, Billy". - Just one of the worst episodes Sharon Miller has ever written in my opinion. No contest, it's really THAT terrible. Dishonorable Mentions: - "Percy and the Monster of Brendam" - Complete miserable payoff that has little to do with monsters, Percy wanting to be scared is stupid, Salty never got called out for making Percy believe there is a monster at Brendam, and heck not even Edward, Henry, and Toby acting like a couple of pussies even helped. - "The Christmas Tree Express" - Really boring filler episode, misleading title, and it's your typical Toby's a coward episode. - "The Man in the Hills" - Great concept and research on British culture, but the execution is terrible. - "Edward Strikes Out" - One of the few episodes I find Miller at her absolute worst when working on Thomas. Do I need to explain why this is bad? - "Topped Off Thomas" - Just Thomas looking for Sir Topham Hatt's top hat. Nothing else. Oh, and why can't STH get another fucking top hat? - "Edward and the Mail" - Edward's a wimp, the barrier crash scene is completely forced, and there's too many things wrong. - "Follow That Flour" - Thomas is a dick, and his cheeky persona is written so poorly. I know Thomas can be cheeky, but the way he gets back at James like that is unnecessarily mean spirited. - "Splish, Splash, Splosh" - Why does the plot even exist?! - "Ho Ho Snowman" - Charlie is annoying as Hell, there's too much nonsense, and it's also a typical Henry's a wimp episode. - "Jumping Jobi Wood" - Thomas in this one acting like a know it all smug smart-ass is not pleasant to watch, and neither is Edward being a pussy, nor is it even funny to see him act like an intolerable dumbass. - "Percy's New Friends" - This one is Percy at his worst. He acts like a fucking idiot throughout, and also, why would animals go over Percy's running board? They won't like the noise of a steam engine or even the ride on a running board. - "Merry Misty Island" - Why do you need to give the Logging Locos an episode of their own like this? - "Let it Snow" - Obsessive filler, and it really lacks common sense. Why was I ever OK with this one as a 10 year old? - "Big Belle" - Bell is portrayed poorly to the point he is obsessed with Toby without any reason other than he has a bell, and Toby is not any better. Instead of being the coward he was, he acts like a grouchy old hermit who doesn't like doing anything remotely fun. - "Push Me, Pull You!" - This episode is really bad. I mean, VERY BAD! I saw that it got a 4.7/10 on iMDB.com, and that episode really fucking deserved it. The crashes are unnecessary and forced, Skarloey and Rheneas act like fucking 5-year-olds, Skarloey really can't do anything right, and it has a really brain dead moral that refusing to need help from friends and treating it like it's normal is fine enough. If this isn't the worst episode in the show, I'd say it is the worst Skarloey Railway episode ever made. Almost as bad as "Rheneas and the Dinosaur".
I have a theory for Edward’s attitude in Jumping Jobi Wood. I believe it is fair to say that Edward may have became more weary in his old age. That could be why he was acting a bit wimpy.

Most of these episodes were from my childhood. I can enjoy episodes like Splish Splash Splosh, Play Time, and Jumping Jobi Wood. I also like Charlie in the first couple of CGI seasons. I also kinda like the Logging Locos.

In response to people complaining about the rhyming during this era, some have said things like "Well, if you listen closely, there was a lot of repetition in the early series while the engines were puffing fast". Yes, they said "Hurry, hurry, hurry" and "Come along, come along" a lot. Not to mention the troublesome trucks repeated themselves a lot. That's different from the Miller era. In the classic series, the repeated lines conveyed a sense of commitment to their jobs and being on time. On the other hand, all the "I made good decisions, that's what I was told..." lines were used as a crutch and were not a good fit for that narrative.
I will say, though, one instance of rhyming that was kinda funny was when the Logging Locos mocked Thomas in Misty Island Rescue. Ferdinand even had a line that wasn't "That's right". He said "You'll be brave and bold."

Trevor Davis Exactly and even though I do like seasons 1-12 a.k.a the model series, as I consider them the true seasons and gold era of Thomas, I do like seasons 13-16 a little bit but nowhere as much as 1-12, but there is no reason to hate on Sharon Miller. This is exactly why I think that best friends which is the final episode of season 12 as well as the final model episode should’ve been the SERIES finale as opposed to the SEASON finale.

Sharon Miller isn't necessarily a bad person by anything. Her writing could have been improved. Her writing from Seasons 9 to 12 was hit and miss. But her writing from Seasons 13 through 16 was abysmal (with a few exceptions). I just think she did a better job with her voice directing and being the voice of the Queen of England. Oh, and did you know that Sharon Miller wrote an episode of Bob the Builder: Ready, Steady, Build? Yeah. Push just comes to shove that she isn't a bad person at all.

The only positive thing I can say about the Miller era is that the CGI is actually pretty decent compared to season 12's CGI. And the music and songs were actually pretty good as well.

10. *Toby’s Discovery* - I like Season 5, which is my favorite season of all time, but the only episode I don’t like is Toby’s Discovery, because of the two things: Toby being too chicken (which means being a scaredy-cat) and Bertram, a pointless character only made for merchandise.
9. *Middle Engine* - Not just Toby’s discovery is one of the worst episodes of the classic series, but also Middle Engine. Arry and Bert don’t get blamed by the fat controller, and instead the episode blames Percy and James instead.
8. *Big Belle* - Belle is an idiot in the episode, and it’s just too forgettable.
7. *Henry’s Magic Box* - Henry is a god damn whimp.
6. *Skarloey the Brave* - Skarloey is so f**ked-up, because he goes on a winch, breaks it and crashes, which is so dangerous. He is also acting childish and idiotic. How did HIT mess this up?!?!

That's Greg Tiernan. He was the director of Thomas & Friends from 2008 to 2012. He also treated the animators very poorly during the production of Sausage Party. I used to have respect for the guy until the Sausage Party BTS controversy was revealed back in August of 2016.

And the new narrator Michael Brandon Didn't help. He talks slow and condescendingly to the audience to the point of being unwatchable. The new soundtrack while having some good tracks can't compare to the Original soundtrack.
So while yes it is. It's more similar to 8-12 which is Why I and Most people see it as separate from 1-6.

Okay I think I know why their 2 narrow gauge engine episodes in season 16 I hear season 13 going to have 30 episodes but 10 of them have to push to season 14 every season first 10 episodes from the previous season the first half of season 14 of from 13 and the rest is 14 half season 15 is 14 and the rest 15 and half of season 15 and rest is 16 that’s why The login locos, misty island, and the search and rescue centre didn’t appear on to the second half of season 14 why belle Flynn den and dart and the diesel works not focus until of season 15

Here are my worst episodes written by her (Plus episodes from S9-11 included; no this is not intended to be bad mouthing Miller as a person).
#10: "Thomas' Tall Friend" - Whilst I do like the concept of the Sodor Animal Park, this suffers to poor execution. Hell, it's got a really stupid plot that turned this episode into a filler episode. How so? Thomas trying to get the giraffe to sit down is nothing but really boring and lazy filler, that is until when the giraffe does sit down. That's all what this episode's plot is.
#9: "The Magic Lamp" - Are you kidding? You expect me to believe in some so-called "magic lamp"? The purpose Proteus serves is just so bland. He has very little to no personality at all other than he has some magic lamp and that's it. Also, a headlamp cannot be magical. I don't mind lack of realism, but here it's ridiculous. The plot is also really boring and very little to care about. Also, I apologize to those that like Proteus, but I understand he was meant to get the story a move on. But even with that said, I can't excuse why he is very underdeveloped to the point he is only there for the merchandising and nothing more. I wouldn't mind if he was like Merlin as both have something in common, but sadly, that wasn't the case.
#8: "Percy the Snowman" - I like the title of the episode as it's a very close reference to Frosty the Snowman, and I do like the inside Season 5 reference of Percy's face popping out of the snow, but this episode already has an inexcusable plot. Why can't Thomas go and get Percy help like he promised? Why would the narrator say 'They have never seen a snow engine before' when that doesn't work because Oliver was a snow engine in Season 7? Yes, that really is a plot hole, I swear I didn't make this up. And how can Thomas not see Percy if he shoved all the snow throughout the goddamn episode? Need I say more why this is bad?
#7: "Express Coming Through" - A rehash of "Seeing the Sights" from Season 10. I'm sorry, but this doesn't try to be like "A Big Day for Thomas", it fails to be like it instead it rehashes and recycles the plot from a Season 10 episode I already mentioned, except it was wasted to shit writing. The concept of Thomas taking the express has been done before! How can they make a plot hole that he never pulled the express train before? Well, that show they made Thomas act like a beginner engine on Sodor all over again back in Season 12 with "Saved You!" being the destruction to the main character (except that one wasn't written by Miller), except they portrayed him so brain-dead and dumb throughout S12-16.
#6: "Fiery Flynn"/"Race to the Rescue" - For "Fiery Flynn"; everything about this episode is terrible. Okay, I do find Flynn asking Edward that he's not on fire pretty funny. But everything else just sucks. Den and Dart swapping their voices was plain weird, Thomas' firebox having an explosion inside him was never fully explained why, the lines "His firebox was on fire!" was memorable for all the worst reasons, Edward and Gordon serve no purpose, there is too much narration, there is very little to no common logic once, and Flynn in this episode is just the fucking worst in S15-16. He comes off as too stupid to the point he can't do anything right.
For "Race to the Rescue"; Flynn is a freaking wimp and coward throughout. What? He is constantly too scared to go on the road? Not only they made him a dumbass, but they managed to make Flynn act like a fucking pussy. Also, him not being on the road for a long time was never even fully explained why. So yes, it is an awful episode. And also, when did Sir Topham Hatt live inside a shed? Did his wife just kick him out of the house or something?
#5: "Bust My Buffers!" - No strikes of any kind, thank goodness. Plus, I do like Salty saying that an engine without a bufferbeam (or even a cowcatcher) is against the rules of the railway. But this episode is still AWFUL! It is the Thomas the Tank Engine equivalent of a Squidward Torture Scenario episode, except it's WORSE than any of the poorly written Squidward Torture episodes like "Smooth Jazz at Bikini Bottom" or ". This one treats Gordon unfairly. Mavis, Den, Dart, and Salty are blind in this episode as instead of taking him to the Sodor Steamworks, they have to have him in the Dieselwork because he has to get a diesel bufferbeam. I know Gordon was boasting in the beginning of the episode, but the way he is treated sucks. What is worse is that Diesel, 'Arry and Bert don't get punished. They caused a lot of shit. And no, not even the ending where Gordon thanks Den and Dart makes any difference. If I were Gordon, I'd rather get my revenge and go to the Sodor Steamworks to get his old bufferbeam fixed. FUCK... THIS.... EPISODE!
#4: "Henry's Magic Box" - Boring filler as it's just Henry being concerned about his box without any reason. Also, Henry has no reason to be concerned about a box, even if it was a box full of Christmas trees.
#3: "Up, Up, and Away" - I put this on #3 instead of #1 because you put it on #1, Trevor. For me, a lot of the things this episode makes no sense. But to be fair with you, the concept of the huge balloons on the flatbed may have been used again in "Dowager Hatt's Busy Day", but the way they used it again was only made to make fun of the bad writing from Seasons 12-16. Am I going to explain why this episode is stupid? Let's be honest, Thomas and Percy are complete idiots throughout.
#2: "Thomas' Frosty Friend" - Why was I okay with this episode? It's just a miserable episode that is stuck with this running gag where Thomas believes a snowman is following him around, but it turns out it was only a balloon. I do like how the snow balloon is made, but even that thing is not enough to save this episode.
and #1: "Don't Be Silly, Billy". - Just one of the worst episodes Sharon Miller has ever written in my opinion. No contest, it's really THAT terrible.

- "Percy and the Monster of Brendam" - Complete miserable payoff that has little to do with monsters, Percy wanting to be scared is stupid, Salty never got called out for making Percy believe there is a monster at Brendam, and heck not even Edward, Henry, and Toby acting like a couple of pussies even helped.
- "The Christmas Tree Express" - Really boring filler episode, misleading title, and it's your typical Toby's a coward episode.
- "The Man in the Hills" - Great concept and research on British culture, but the execution is terrible.
- "Edward Strikes Out" - One of the few episodes I find Miller at her absolute worst when working on Thomas. Do I need to explain why this is bad?
- "Topped Off Thomas" - Just Thomas looking for Sir Topham Hatt's top hat. Nothing else. Oh, and why can't STH get another fucking top hat?
- "Edward and the Mail" - Edward's a wimp, the barrier crash scene is completely forced, and there's too many things wrong.
- "Follow That Flour" - Thomas is a dick, and his cheeky persona is written so poorly. I know Thomas can be cheeky, but the way he gets back at James like that is unnecessarily mean spirited.
- "Splish, Splash, Splosh" - Why does the plot even exist?!
- "Ho Ho Snowman" - Charlie is annoying as Hell, there's too much nonsense, and it's also a typical Henry's a wimp episode.
- "Jumping Jobi Wood" - Thomas in this one acting like a know it all smug smart-ass is not pleasant to watch, and neither is Edward being a pussy, nor is it even funny to see him act like an intolerable dumbass.
- "Percy's New Friends" - This one is Percy at his worst. He acts like a fucking idiot throughout, and also, why would animals go over Percy's running board? They won't like the noise of a steam engine or even the ride on a running board.
- "Merry Misty Island" - Why do you need to give the Logging Locos an episode of their own like this?
- "Let it Snow" - Obsessive filler, and it really lacks common sense. Why was I ever OK with this one as a 10 year old?
- "Big Belle" - Bell is portrayed poorly to the point he is obsessed with Toby without any reason other than he has a bell, and Toby is not any better. Instead of being the coward he was, he acts like a grouchy old hermit who doesn't like doing anything remotely fun.
- "Push Me, Pull You!" - This episode is really bad. I mean, VERY BAD! I saw that it got a 4.7/10 on iMDB.com, and that episode really fucking deserved it. The crashes are unnecessary and forced, Skarloey and Rheneas act like fucking 5-year-olds, Skarloey really can't do anything right, and it has a really brain dead moral that refusing to need help from friends and treating it like it's normal is fine enough. If this isn't the worst episode in the show, I'd say it is the worst Skarloey Railway episode ever made. Almost as bad as "Rheneas and the Dinosaur".

I have a theory for Edward’s attitude in Jumping Jobi Wood. I believe it is fair to say that Edward may have became more weary in his old age. That could be why he was acting a bit wimpy.

That era makes the main protagonist of the episode make a mistake and must think of an idea of fix that.

Well basically, during the production of Sausage Party, he forced the animators to work overtime for free, which is obviously illegal. In other words, he's a nightmare to work with.

One good thing in the Christmas Tree Express is that Rheneas’ German VA is a clone of Ringo Starr.
Most of these episodes were from my childhood. I can enjoy episodes like Splish Splash Splosh, Play Time, and Jumping Jobi Wood. I also like Charlie in the first couple of CGI seasons. I also kinda like the Logging Locos.

In response to people complaining about the rhyming during this era, some have said things like "Well, if you listen closely, there was a lot of repetition in the early series while the engines were puffing fast". Yes, they said "Hurry, hurry, hurry" and "Come along, come along" a lot. Not to mention the troublesome trucks repeated themselves a lot. That's different from the Miller era. In the classic series, the repeated lines conveyed a sense of commitment to their jobs and being on time. On the other hand, all the "I made good decisions, that's what I was told..." lines were used as a crutch and were not a good fit for that narrative.
I will say, though, one instance of rhyming that was kinda funny was when the Logging Locos mocked Thomas in Misty Island Rescue. Ferdinand even had a line that wasn't "That's right". He said "You'll be brave and bold."
