😢😢😢😢😢I miss him badly
Everyone says “he won because he died” no he won because he was the best performance that year. R.I.P Heath.
Absolutely!!
What? Nobody said that. He literally was winning every award that year and everyone agreed it was one of the greatest negative performances on screen.
@@anujpramanik1819 But there were some who are stuck up and said “he only won before he died”
@@megamoviez Who? Even if there were it was probably a very unpopular opinion. This award was decided way in advance and critics and audiences alike were all floored by it.
Yes people become blind to true talent nowadays they only see strass, I didn't even know his name but I remember his movie broke back mountain playing in French and i watched myself get complitely mesmerized and captivated by his acting at the time it was like 4 years ago or so, I was like wow never seen acting this real and this miticulously truely done as if real as if 'it acting it was like in a documentary I mean the realness of his acting can' t even explain it and I just found the movie title which i didn't have time to look up at the time and just finished watching it in english this time and asbeautiful as i remember his performance to be the first time I watched it i just found out he died he was one of the best actors if not the best and would have gine very far in the Futur, true talent and a promising young man full of dreams gone may he rest in peace ❤
Christopher Nolan was trying so hard not to cry. I wish he was alive to see his success
RIP you’ll always be remembered Heath
Anna as well trying hard not to cry
he might be feeling guilty, which he shouldn't, but maybe the role took a toll on heath.
Its not his fault whatsoever @sky_3168
@@ElvisLivesUpstairs i know
Sad moment for everyone
Anne Hathaway looking up at him actually breaks my heart
They were both in Brokeback Mountain, i forgot about that
@@majatadic549No, Anne Hathaway played the role of Jake Gyllenhall's wife back then. Heath's wife was played by Michelle Williams. She's the one who fell deeply in love with Heath whilst playing their roles. They were a couple in real life, and Michelle blessed him with his daughter Matilda Ledger. Michelle loved him deeply and suffered for years after his tragic death.
She is a demon Anne Hathaway

what,
Yeah someday he will 😢😢😢
@@bsjddjkone of the dumbest things ever. I agree that Heath was phenomenal as Joker and that was one of the greatest performances of all time by an actor, but that's not half of RDJ's career. You obviously hasn't seen how many great roles he had, how many different roles he had, he was great as Charlie Chaplin, he was great as Sherlock Holmes. When we talk about Iron man... Enough said. And he was also fantastic in Oppenheimer and it's really a time where he finally needs to win an Oscar.

@@abcdefgh6121RDJ struggled with drugs and alcohol for quite some time until he went to jail for a few years, he came back with a completely different attitude, but what happened to heath just shows not only RDJ but everyone, It doesn’t matter what you do in life, if YOU aren’t ok then everything else means nothing.
I still can’t believe it. I’m not even super celebrity obsessed, but his death still feels like a punch to the gut.
bruh
@@1saamor897 breh
I agree. I still see movies sometimes and think he would have been great in a particular part. What a loss.
bc with him it's not celebrity, it's talent.
Bro trying to farm likes as he cared lmao
If you watch Heath in interviews, documentaries…he was 180 degrees from his character as The Joker. You really see a man who acted his fucking ass off! Shy, polite, almost camera shy really into a fucking savage villain who owned every scene he was in during The Dark Knight. He deserved his due!
Every one of us forgot about the entire crew the minute he appeared on the screen...
Who will forget his crazy headache sticking out of the car in that ride, and can't forget the nurse costume 😔
That only proves he switched into his shadow functions. And that shadow consumed him in the end
@@omojciastkowy4498just what I was going to say. I think acting is less about “acting” and more about a lack of suppression. Good actors tend to FEEL more. It sucks because you feel the good and the bad. It’s also an ability to trick your brain into believing you are what you want it to think.
Hence why so many positive thinkers/affirmations fundamentally change our outlook on life :)
@@stevrgrsExactly! 💯🎯👍 Perception is everything...so sad.
He was an exceptional actor who was humble and down to earth and as a fellow Perthite our city couldn’t be prouder, such a sad day when you left this earth too soon

This might be the most unique Oscar win of all time in which an actor who died didn’t get the award because of pity points but because he legitimately earned it by giving not just the best performance that year but the best performance of an entire generation. I can still watch the Dark Knight today and be blown away admiring every mannerism of his, I don’t believe I’m watching Heath I believe I am watching an actual methodical psychopath that in my opinion hasn’t been matched to this day nor should any self respecting actor try.
A lot of people forget things like this nowadays they just give awards for pity points nowadays or people flip over it, the industry needs to take a long hard look and reflect on why they gave the Oscar to people like Heath
The only actor who compares is James McAvoy in Split. Both of these men did amazing jobs in their roles.....
He was so great in it I forgot he was heath during the movie 😢
Really well said.
Forever the best Joker.
The greatest performance of all time.
No but definitely a great one
@@epicbear4679*one of the greatest
Definitely man. Although I always preferred the comic book style of Nicholson’s joker, Heath’s will always hold a special place in my heart

Panning to Robert Downey who was also up for the nomination. The fact that he had pulled out of the drugs he once abused and just started as Tony Stark. It was striking.
And now he just won the same Oscar in a Nolan film! Crazy.
Heath Ledger didn't die of a drug overdose. He died from a deadly combination of medications from different doctors.
This was like a decade ago--why am i still tearing up about this 😭
Empathy, you're a good person!

In my opinion the best villain performance of all time hands down. some say oh people say that because he died, no this reward WAS well deserved. to this date this performance hasn’t been topped by any joker actor. Rip legend
Rest in peace Heath Ledger ❤

RIP Heath. I fell in ❤ with his character in 10 things I hate about you, and his joker performance is still the best.
When they show people in the audience and all of them are very emotional, it got to me. Heath was so loved by fans and his peers. I hope he feels the love still, wherever he may be ❤

He understood the struggle. Could’ve easily been the way he ended up too had he not turned his life around.
Now in 2024. It's so odd to see Robert Downey Jr and Christopher Nolan won their Oscar just recently.
I'm convinced the Oscars are rigged. No way Society of the Snow and other films shouldn't have gone home with winnings, even in viewings alone. I grew up watching Heath, my favorite was The Brother's Grimm. It's immeasurable to see someone, like Robin Williams for me as well, have their life end in they way that it did.

He deserves more than that award.
Heath ledger's joker is forever in our heart & soul.

What Heath did with joker was a masterpiece❤
I can tell Chris really found a gem in Heath, they probably got along quite well during filming and he just looks so sad at the fact. Heath would have been in more Nolan films for sure! At least Inception, Interstellar or Oppenheimer. There was more work to be done there. Just that few seconds of his face you can see “Fuck we really lost something special”
That tear in Christopher eyes 😭
Heath Ledger was amazing in that role, he totally deserved it!
If Heath was there he would have said WHY SO SERIOUS ?
That day I was in Manhattan and when I returned to my office in Secaucus my colleague asked me if I knew who Heath Ledger was and I said yes, i love him! He told me he had just passed away that afternoon. I was floored. I was just a few blocks away from him at the time when he passed. Heartbreaking 💔

So sad to lose such great performer and human being.
Heath Ledger will always be remembered with love, however it was his incredibly chaotic performance as Joker that was awarded.
The film industry doesn't care about the actor, because it always takes its toll on the characters!
I'm confused on how your comment relates to Heath in this instance
You're insinuating that Heath died because of the pressure or intensity of the role? You're clearly not giving him enough credit for how much effort he put into developing the character.
Look at Christian Bale. He has gone through extreme weight changes for his characters. They do it for the love and passion, not because they have to.
Heath is simply one of the best actors ever and will never be forgotten. The worst loss to the acting industry ever.
I was in a cab at Bleecker Street in manhattan on the day Heath died. I asked the driver why the traffic was stuck and he told me that a famous actor just died in one of the apartments and there was chaos. When i got home i found out it was Heath Ledger. I cried all day remembering his pure soul and mindblowing talent. Hope hes better and happier where he is now ❤
R.I.P Heath
He was a talented actor. The role was vast and they often paired him with all great talents and big productions.
May he rest in peace, Amen

No matter how much time you see you will definitely see again and again .

The loss of Heath may be the greatest loss of talent we have seen.
He brought such a raw, energetic, wild humanistic character to that role. But, his resume was even better. Thank you for showing us your talent. You will be missed.
One the great performances in movies and also one of the great pieces or displays of art we have seen in the past 100 years or so.

It's such a shame because Nolan originally planned to do so much more after his performance in The Dark Knight. He wanted to make it 5 films if he could - not 3. We could have been treated to so much more of that magic. I can imagine Heath being one of those actors who reinvents himself so many times into his later years, had he made it to them. RIP.

The way Heath was feeling inside is the reason he was able to give the best ever performance in cinematic history he used those bad feelings and hopelessness to create the ultimate supervillain.
