I think this may still be my favorite set of Marvel cards ever. The Thanos, Storm, Doc Ok, Bishop, Iceman, and Hobgoblin cards in particular are my favorite renditions of those characters in any card set. I very much enjoyed the box break. Good job as always. Tough luck on the duplicate chase card.
It's a great set, I really like it when sets are done by one Artist. Just makes it feel a bit more coherent than sets where the art style is all over the place. But I prefer the Greg and Tim Hildebrandt Masterpieces.

Thanks, I appreciate your comment. I don't think I missed a chase card, otherwise I would have found it while sorting them. Maybe I just missed a base card, sometimes that happens.

I just found my collection of this set, and a couple others. Complete set and all but 2 of the foils. They are such beautiful cards; I might consider trying to buy the foils I'm missing.
Check ebay, I think the single chase cards are still rather cheap, considering what these boxes go for.
That's a very irritating double of the chase card, but congrats on completing the base set. Thanks for sharing, very awesome.

What do you think the most iconic set ever? 1992 Marvel Masterpieces? Or 1990 Masterpieces? or 1996? I do some research but still a bit confused. Hope you can help
In my opinion this Masterpiece set is the most iconic. It's not my favourite, but it set the standard for painted comic card sets!

@@HuyDao There is no 1990 Masterpieces set, as far as I know. Maybe you're confusing them with the 1990 Marvel Universe set. This set was the first Marvel Masterpieces set and it came out in '92. The Marvel Universe sets are also very nice, but they didn't have painted art. They had more traditional comic art, that's why I would consider this set to be the most iconic.

Great stuff! Did you notice any paper loss or damage from the cards sticking? They look so good but I'm hesitant to buy a box knowing 90s cards weren't designed to be opened 30 years later!
No, I didn't have any problems with the '92 Masterpieces. I've heard that they may be sticky, but they are less glossy than the later sets. Mine weren't sticky at all.

Recently bought a complete base set for $50, is that how much they go for these days?
Love the video, do you think it would be worth collecting this box and buying it on ebay, its a bit pricey right now its looking like 150-200 im in an auction for it right now. Do you think it would be worth to get since im going to meet Joe jusko in NJ for a signing next year and I could get this box signed by him and ill probably display it
There are also no SEALED box's like this signed by him
That's hard to say, these boxes have shot up in price recently, but I don't know how much a signature would increase it's value. If I would have the chance to get something signed by Joe Jusko I would go for a comic book or maybe an artprint. I think the price growth is mainly due to the fact that people want to relive their childhood and open the box. On the other hand it would certainly be a rare item.

Yeah, back then you had 36 packs in most boxes. Not like the 12-16 packs nowadays.

1994 SkyBox Master Series DC Comics Premier Trading Cards Sealed Box is fake or real? It has Green Lantern aiming his ring at the DC emblem sign on the box. Is this a real or fake cards? Please let me know thanks.
Hi, I'm not familiar with DC trading cards, but in general I don't think there are fake 90's comic trading cards around.
They are not worth enough to warrant faking them. I only know of fake Magic and Pokemon cards and even then they are single cards. I've never heard of a fake sealed box.

I don't know, usually I don't keep track of things I already have. You could check ebay.com, that's always a good reference.

If you think you can get some 10's, but anything that's below a 10 won't be worth grading.
There are just too many of these out there.

I buy the old boxes on ebay from which ever seller has the best price. For this box I paid 80$, but they have become more expensive since I bought it.

Most of the things I collect come from the U.S. and I don't think there's much of an audience for these box breaks in Germany.
