The way you edited was excellent. Once the last part was edited to show your reveal, I knew the rest were repeats.
I really like your narration bc you remind me of an Arnold Schwarzenegger that has a German direct/blunt point of view. Very efficient
The non-base cards were really cool as well.
Thanks for the rare MM unboxing vid!!!
Awesome, thanks for the comment, you made my day!!!
Been watching your videos. It’s fun to vicariously watch these openings. I remember fondly collecting 95 Fleer X-men back in the day.
Nice cards, but nothing beats the 1992 masterpieces set.
I prefer the '94 set, but nonetheless the 2007/2008 sets don't even come close to the 90's sets.
The sketch card, and your comments lol😂
These are definitely awesome videos. You remind me
Of docm77 - a great UA-camr
But I very much enjoy your commentary and video quality. Maybe you could
Do a video showing off your collection from
When you were a kid and tell
Some origin stories about your collecting
That's a great idea, I'll think about it.
The annoying thing is that I don't really have most of my original childhood cards because I traded most of them at some point for comicbooks.
But I know which cards I had so I could at least give it a try.
This is certainly a strange set. Such varying quality in the artwork (from extremely high to not good at all) and the weird characters cards with names not matching the images along with the She-Thing chase card choice... all pretty lame. However, the set has some high quality elements as well.
Good job as always making the box break and summary interesting and engaging.
I would love to pick up some of these, not sure what they did with Rogue, Shadowcat and some of the others. For the most part I do like the artwork, I could feel your pain on the sketch card lol
The artwork is good, it's just not up to par with other Masterpieces sets and not exclusive to these sets.
As for the sketch card, I've changed my mind a bit. Back then sketch cards were still sketches and not the elaborate art you see on some modern sketch cards, so I'm ok with it.
I am glad you found a way to appreciate the sketch. I am more of a see a cool card of a character I like and I will try to obtain it. Not much of a set collector, nor a strict character collector. Some of the cards here hit the right buttons with me to try and obtain some single on Comc.
Great channel!! I love your content and seeing you break older boxes, I stopped collecting in the mid-90s and over the last year and a half I have been sucked back in. I don't own much yet and most of all of my collection is on Epack and ComC. Kind of hard getting hands on cards here in Ireland. Nobody collects them here.

I think it's tough to find people in all of Europe that collect Marvel cards since they're hard to find here and expensive. Facebook or Instagram could be a way to find some, but I avoid most social media.
You got ripped off with that sketch card bro.
This is what I'm gonna get from my birthday
Those name misprints are a bummer.
Yeah, it let's you know how little effort they put into this set, a really dumb and unnecessary mistake.
maybe they were drunk
I recognize the She-Thing and diecast Hulk art as from the VS TCG, the original Upper Deck Marvel product.
I think most of the artwork used for this set was previously used for their Marvel Vs System cards. I also recognized a bunch of them having the same artwork as some older VS cards I still have.
Everything was fine with the video.
I’m thinking about buying some card boxes. The thing is almost every box of cards today seem to be in the $300+ dollar range. If I’m only interested in completing the base set, is it possible to recoup that money by selling the chase cards? I know it’s not an exact science but is that even somewhat feasible? Cause if I can’t then there isn’t even really much pint in my buying a box. Not when there are golden age comic books out there that I can spend money on that will hold their value much better.
I don't know. It's a very risky approach. If you would buy a box of these for example you would definitely loose money, unless you get really lucky on the sketch card. Singles from this set and even the chase cards aren't worth a lot. There might be boxes where this could work, but I'm definitely the wrong person to ask about this stuff since I don't follow the market. I just like to collect them.
Wow nice
Howard the duck is the most powerful supervillain in the marvel universe
I would say Stiltman is the most powerful, but I guess it's up for debate. 🤣
@@randomcollector2353 ive never seen you pull a stiltman before
I think he's a bit under represented. I think some of the older sets had cards of him.
You better hope she don't have a thing. 😂
lol
Looks like they hired kids to do the artwork for these cards. Where do they get off calling them masterpieces, only a handful of cards worth collecting out of the whole set
Most of the artwork was solicited for their VS System cards and then reused for these sets. I don't think it's that bad, but most of it isn't Masterpieces worthy.
@@randomcollector2353 definitely isn’t like 92 or 94 series. Those are the best masterpiece sets in my opinion
@@spencerweeks6532 You're definitely right and '94 is my favorite set!
Aren't the girls always in skimpy outfits
Well, I guess most of them at least were.
