its crazy how they've had the technology since 2019 yet they're just implementing rapid trigger now
Its crazy how long it took them to copy it really, they mustve finally lost market/pro player share
But then again rapid trigger are getting popular now, the drunkdeer A75 and the next Akko mod007 are hall effect with cheaper and much much less bloat than 2GB Razer software.
@@boardzy what's crazy is this video
@@yoblazesI wouldn't say it's crazy I'd say it's (shocking)
@@boardzythey tried 😂
Never thought id like a 60% keyboard, but the Wooting 60HE is just so amazing. Dont think id buy anything else...except maybe a Wooting 75% lol

80he is out for pre-order, just pre-ordered mine and can't wait for it since I don't like the 60he since I find it often that I use F keys a lot. 😊
For keyboard enthusiast and modding with small extra features wooting is better, but for anyone who isn’t too much into keyboards and want a good performing keyboard than apex pro all day.
I got the apex pro TKL version 1.0 just before the usb C version came out (without pass through) I have heard about rapid trigger coming out but I am too lazy to care what it does.
I also got my apex pro TKL for like $130 on sale last year just before the new version came out, so it not a bad deal.
It's not a comparison to the wooting and Steelseries most CERTAINLY did not kill it in performance. It's an absolute trash comparison - the only reason this guy is even mentioning it, is because he thinks we're too stupid to not recognize that, he only gets paid if you buy Steelseries through his link.
@@yoblazesnot really, everyone knows that wooting is superior keyboard with some extra features but those are features not everyone will take advantage of (For non-enthusiasts). Apex pro is certainty a good enough gaming keyboard that you can buy at any local Best Buy for anyone not too into keyboard. Wooting a better keyboard but it won’t make you better gamer, even with faster actuations and rapid triggers.
@nazarethproductions7095 yes but your not understanding me - what I'm speaking about is in regards to the contextual way this video was posted. Look at the title - listen to his comparison - the entire video is just clickbait and freaking LAZY, just, thrown together clickbait at that.
If he posted the video in the way you just described it - that would be perfectly fine! Because everything you said is true and the points are valid.
@@yoblazes I don’t think it’s click bait, before steel series updates Apex pro was not even close or comparable to wooting not even mentioned on the same level. With the new update such as the rapid trigger and small update on custom actuation it’s actually close to wooting but just not refined as wooting. Razed tried doing the rapid trigger update but it’s just not as smooth as the steelseries but that had all to do with the type of switches they have. I can see where you stand on your point though if you’re not too into boardzys type of videos.
the 0.2 rapid trigger tip helped a lot thank you I've had it on 0.1 and it was really glitchy and I was trying to find out what settings would make it better W
Is it fixed now?
Is It fixed now? I have some problems with mine and when i set the rapid trigger sens to 0,1 and auc to 0.1 it gliches out.

My Apex Pro died 2-3 days BEFORE they released the rapid trigger update. So I bought the Wooting Two HE.
So far I'm pretty happy with it. I don't think I have any complaints at all. Well maybe the fact that its missing a volume wheel and the wrist rest is better on Apex Pro (because its attached with magnets). I was happy with the Apex Pro too tho.
Wooting does have better software but I still use SS Engine because of Sonar, so getting a Wooting didn't get rid of SS Engine in my case.
Overall, if you have the money, I would probably go for the Wooting. Supporting them is also a plus. They did come up with Rapid trigger in the first place so more competition on the market is good.
How did ur apex pro die??
Stop the cap.
I've wanted to buy a Wooting forever, but I'm not a proponent of pre-ordering anything. He brings up a good point about just ordering from Amazon and getting something similar the next day.
but if you did get it a month ago you would've already had it
There’s definitely a benefit to having something shipped to your doorstep overnight and having the option to return it within 30 days and receiving a 100% refund instantly. Not to mention it’s ~25% cheaper than the wooting
Don't get it, I've had it and sold it. I bought mine second hand though, it is an overpriced overhyped keyboard. Don't get me wrong, it is still a great keyboard but it is also overhyped and overpriced. Especially now.
@@De4dSp0t Could you expound on your thoughts? I'm not aware of anything similar for a better price.
@@cauzed4980 It's pre-ordering in general. It allows almost anyone ot launch a product and minimize their financial exposure.
The new corsair K70 now also has this feature. It would be cool if you could test this too and as always great video. Keep it up 👍
i tried the rapid trigger on steelseries, but not having a low actuation point where it resets going back up makes it so my keys will just stop working even if i continue holding them. this messes up my movement in val so i had to stop using it
Yo boardzy just commenting to let you know i finially got my hands on a hien and it has been truly life changing

The Apex Pro Mini does use a standard 60% layout, which means it CAN be modded to fit in any universal 60% tray mount case and aftermarket keycaps (like those in the video).
The Drunkdeer is the same price or a bit less than the Steelseries Apex Pro Mini and it actually has hall effect switches. They have a 75% and a 65%.
I have an Akko World Tour 60% and I just went and bought the Apex Pro Mini, gonna transfer the keycaps to the Apex Pro Mini because why not and just enjoy my rapid trigger.
I hope Wooting makes like a 75% version of the 60HE. I use the ~ key a bit and I don’t want to have to take extra steps to type that in. Also I don’t want to use the Wooting “arrow keys”.

I am probably the only person on the planet who did not buy the 60HE for rapid-trigger, but for the software solution and the ability to do everything without bloat on the computer.😂
Nope - I did too for the exact same reason
Nah bro I just ordered a wooting for like 80% of that same reason lol. Since the woot won’t arrive for like a month though I just ordered an apex pro tkl from Amazon on next day shipping since it’s 33% off on sale here right now. If it can genuinely impress me I’ll keep the damn thing and cancel the woot but if it even slightly pisses me off in the software it’s going straight back to Amazon lol.

Damn it now I wanna replace my apex 9 mini (which I just got like a month ago) with an apex pro… damn you boardzy 😭
I have the apex pro tkl, when i tried the rapid trigger thing I always like suddenly stop walking or smt like that, mb im not accustomed yet, is the wooting like that too?
I feel like this video was inspired by mine Wooting vs Apex Pro rant on discord, is it right boardzy? :D
I've never bought anything renewed ever, but I got a 2023 Apex pro TKL renewed just to use as I wait for my Wooting. Was planning on returning it anyways. But I fell in love with it. Idk if I got a special version or what, but the sound of the typing sounds just as good if not better than Wootings. When I looked at reviews the Apex pro did not sound as good as this one I have and that was my main gripe with it before buying it.
The steelseries software works great imo. Every review I've seen uses that as a reason to not get it. I really can not comprehend that opinion. It works fine. I can customize the actuation and rapid trigger of every key in the 60% area. Have 5 different configs I can swap between instantly with the on screen display.
After reading comments and watching reviews I expected the apex pro to be quite awful/mid. I'm convinced the youtube comment section is more like a blind cult following at this point. People see their favorite tech reviews nut over a product and that "opinion" becomes their whole personality despite never trying said product or both products.
Coming from someone who has been PC gaming for the last 8 years and frequently am in the masters/immortal ranks of every game, this keyboard is perfect for me. Sounds incredible (my favorite part of the keyboard), actually has media/arrow/functions keys, on screen display, and can ship to your house in 2 days. I genuinely don't see a single advantage for Wooting, but if you read online you'd think the Wooting gonna give you a BJ and make you a sandwich while also ranking you up to radiant.
The reason people still want brown switches (I won't use anything else) is because you can type and game on them. Typing on linear or red switches is just about impossible, IF it's not a wooting. If you don't plan on typing and only gaming, then get a linear switch keyboard. Otherwise, get a keyboard with brown switches.
can you try the akko 007 anniversary keyboard? it has magnetic switches with a feature that sounds similar to rapid trigger, haven't found many reviews.
Exactly the review I was looking for
That's called an echo chamber. Be patient and buy the better product. The steelseries is some mass-produced garbage that could care less about the actual keyboard and more about what lines their pockets
@@yoblazeswoah if you’re a Wooting meat rider just say that bro apex is better
the issue w the apex pro mini detecting more than the wooting at low actuation is because its got twice the delay according to optimum's testing
I bought a wooting used to have a razer analog love my wooting
will you be reviewing the new mousepad company material hyperglyde?
I haven’t had that issue with 0.1 actuation for my Apex Pro that’s kinda weird
ayo why is the dav3 pro in the back now? u swapped main mouse?
My wooting out of the box is the nicest computer peripheral I've ever bought. I mean it feels and sounds so perfect just straight out of the box. Then you can upgrade and mod it if you want. They've just released an aluminium case too if you choose. I swear. I'm in love with mine. Highly recommend it to anyone on the fence.
for me too and the wrist pad they make is a must have and glad i got it at the same time i got my keyboard.. i was questioning if i should get it at the time and i made the right choice. for me though im a logi G whore so i own a ton of logi gear and they are well constructed as well. recently i bought the superlight v2 (my daily driver) and the new pro x tkl to compliment it.. i use that for games that require me to use the F buttons a lot and it sucks to use the FN buttons just to hit f1-f9.. i understand you can customize that but nah.. lol
you can tune at which point it actuates. I have my WASD keys set at .1 or whatever the lowest value is
What Wooting mods are you running? Looking clean
I made a video covering all of them ua-cam.com/video/dSp2CObyQKc/v-deo.htmlsi=k8Yc2RqOoKcZXoeo blade60 case, lighter springs and GMK dots
I bought the steel sereies keyboard as soon as i heard they added the rapid trigger feature and i got it it for 150 TKL version
I wonder if the Apex Pro can be updated similarly. Still a solid update but I'm not into 60% keyboard unfortunately. I'm more of a 96 key layout. Maybe some keyboard company will do this layout with the same tech as Wooting or the Apex Pro.
Yeah I use the TKL and they update the same
Adding rapid trigger through an update is a W from steelseries if you already owned one but I would a second wooting before I look elsewhere with the current competition
bro where did you get those custom keycaps??
The entire time the Wooting 6he has been around, i have literally never seen it in stock. Its always pre order. Im not preording a keyboard.
do you think they will release another update soon for individual key customization?
No
If you were to recommend these keyboards for a beginner, which one would it be?
I've used the Corsair Strafe MX Cherry Brown, Corsair K95 RGB Platinum MX Cherry Brown and on Christmas Eve I got the HyperX Alloy Origins PBT HX Red which is perfectly fine but all this talk about the SteelSeries Apex Pro and Wooting makes me wonder if these would be significantly better than my current keyboard.
You dont need such a keyboard if your not going pro. If you want it you buy it.
They would probably be a little bit better, but unless you're very skilled and playing at the highest ranks in your games of choice, it's not something you should really be worrying about all that much. If money is somehow of no concern to you, it would be an upgrade. Overall though you're probably going to be fine. It's up to you how much you think it will help you. Still plenty of pros on keyboards that don't have rapid trigger, so clearly it won't hinder you that much to wait a little. this tech might become cheaper too.
I use 0.8mm actuation + rapid trigger. Below that there are too many typos.
THANK YOU

Sadly, the apex pro mini isnt reduced in price in every region. For me its literally the same price as the w00ting.
TKL Wireless is 199 at best buy right now.
Same, I have wooting and it's the best keyboard out of every keyboard I have, recently a friends of mine advised another friends to buy apex pro tkl and I asked the price of the apex and it was the same price as wooting and for me it was a useless move, unless he wanted a keyboard fast and don't wanted to wait months to get it, wooting is better at the same price.

anyone know how to keep my RGB settings without keeping the horrible Steelseries GG Engine open?
Akko came out with a model with similar switches, and in a more popular form factor. It's still in development, but I think they'll have a much better product if you take the state out of the box. SteelSeries have terrible keyboards right now, and only switches don't change that. Wooting has expensive options, Akko has good keyboards right now.
Akko's keyboard kinda implies either TTC or Huano is making comparable switches meaning we'll see way more companies releasing similar keyboards. And I reckon most of them would be way better than the wooting while also costing less.
@@NyangisKhan The Akko version is already cheaper, $140. At the same time, this is the same 007PC with flex-cuts on pcb and plate. I would really replace the keycaps.
I already ordered it for myself.
@@2D4J Just ordered it after you mentioned it. Costs roughly $123 in my country with shipping. Excited to try it out.
EDIT: Also the witches are magnetic versions of the cream yellow pros so I reckon it's going to sound really freaking good.
For the akko board im sure the hardware itself will be better but the question is will the software be able to keep up and offer a similar feature set
@@coyotex850 I highly doubt the software would be on the same level as the wooting in the beginning and probably will be a bit more limited in terms of features. But it is way cheaper and is just *better as a keyboard.* And the switches are magnetic versions of really good switches that honestly doesn't need any lubing so it'll sound _way_ better than the wooting.
Review the drunk deer g65 keyboard
You should try the Drunkdeer A75 keyboard 🫡
Random question for someone like me to have medium or large hands would 60 or 65 be ideal for me or 75 or tkl or does hand size even matter?
The difference between 60, 65, TKL and full-size is horizontal, not vertical. So hand size doesn't matter.
@brzt4256 75 looks different though
Good thing is this is in stock everywherw unlike wooting
love my 60he but damn do i wish it was a tkl..
i agree for gaming optical switches are bare minimum. all those contact based mechanical "gaming" keyboards are an abomination with their debounce delay and rapid aging of the contacts. i don't even use that trash for typing - i have NIZ electrocapactive for that. unfortunately when i had steelseries i had to send it back because wireless didn't work for me plus with my display positioning RGB was reflecting too much in the screen. currently using Asus ROG Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe and it's pretty good. screen reflections are well controlled, wireless works like a champ and switches are smooth as butter. i don't need the wireless but think it's a nice bonus to have if you want to use the keeb for HTPC. no rapid trigger on the ROG of course as it's only optical.

Its implementation is so much jenkier than Wooting and I haven’t quite figured out why yet. It having basically an on and off status with zero customisation for a feature that demands it is truly… a move
If they can make it to where u don’t need that awful software open to use it, that’d be a game changer
On the TKL you can use the little oled screen. Nav to actuation then click the scroll wheel down and it toggles it. No idea if its got similar support for the mini.

The fact it’s 45 dollars cheaper for the same gaming performance as the wooting, this is well worth the price if you only care about performance in game.
It's not the same performance by ANY stretch of the imagination - the only reason this guy isn't saying the wooting is better, is because wooting isn't a soulless company who pays people to advertise their products....look in this @ssholes description.
