I appreciate the Tulane UA-cam videos! I had also come to UA-cam to look for reference about Tulane, so I appreciate the work you put into this channel
Alex, I love how informative your videos are. My daughter will be attending in fall 2023 as a Posse Scholar and we are all so excited for her. Your videos are very helpful for POC to know what to expect and where there’s room for improvement at TU. It just seems like a fantastic school with so much to offer young minds as they continue to develop into full adulthood. Thank you so much for all these engaging and insightful videos!
I like how you tell us what we need to know straight up. I have seen a lottt of videos for a lottt of schools and yours is hands down the best. thank you!!!
Hi Alex! Been binge watching all of your Tulane videos because of the coronavirus and also because it’s currently my #1 choice! I was wondering, as an Asian American, and also a female, how is the safety on AND off of campus? If you could ask some of your female friends what they do, what places/frats/sororities that they avoid, or just things that anyone should be mindful of to stay safe at Tulane I would love to hear about it!
Haha, thank you. Safety on campus is not a major issue - there are TUPD cops around 24/7 and "blue lights" that you can press if you every feel unsafe (i.e. being stalked). As for off campus, stay in groups, stay in the light, and practice common sense. Even a few blocks from campus there are reports of violence (since TUPD is mandated to report crimes). As for greek life, stay with your buddy at all times and make wise decisions regarding alcohol/drugs. Alcohol-relate sexual assault is an issue on EVERY college campus, so please be aware. Tulane's published results can be found here: allin.tulane.edu/climate-assessment I don't want to deter you from attending Tulane (it's safe), but I just want to inform and answer your questions the best that I can!
Hey Alex, I really enjoy watching your videos about Tulane. They are incredibly helpful and was one of the reasons that got me to apply to Tulane in the first place. As a vietnamese student, I didn't expect much financial aid-wise. But ended up getting in with a huge scholarship lol. Huge thanks to you - I also mentioned you in my why tulane essay:)
Dude! Great videos. Im lucky to have found a youtube video that explains everything on Tulane. Im lucky enough to have been accepted in a PhD Program in Biomedical Science. Btw im coming from Puerto Rico.
Thanks for this video! I'm coming to campus this fall and I was hoping to skateboard around campus. Could you please tell me a bit more about navigating the campus? Are there too many potholes or are they manageable? And has the school improved on that since last year or are the pathways still the same?
Sidewalks are still pretty uneven, but some paths have been improved! I recommend skating on the streets when no cars are around - but prepare to fall off every once in awhile lol
After committing to Tulane, there’s a portal where you either can randomize or choose a specific person. Depending on which RLC you apply to, your selection will be modified!
Hi Alex! Thanks for your videos. Is there anyway you could send a link showing off campus living in New Orleans for students studying in Tulane? The university website doesn't show much of that. I know this might go off premise, but I think you seem to be the best person to answer this.
Thank You for You videos i like tulane i visited that place in january 2020 and the last year i did too.so You videos Remainds good momments thank You Boy.
I’m looking into this school because I heard it was pretty good but I’m not 100% on where I want to go and what I’m going to do. I’m a sophomore in high school and would love to have something to work towards. I think I’m interested in something business so how are the business prof’s there and the curriculums. Also do you think I could sneak a motorcycle or at least an electric bike my freshman year?
The b-school always receives high marks, and I have heard only good things about the professors. As for the motorcycle, lol, that likely won't happen. The campus is very short, so there won't be a need for an electric bike unless you plan on going long distance away from campus - however, most students uber/lyft.
hey, I'm French (sorry for my English) and in July I will be moving to New Orleans (my mother is in the CODOFIL program if you know what it is) so i don't have any clue on what university should i choose. I have my french "baccalaureat" and this year i was studying psychology at university of Dijon in France (obviously) do you know if there are any equivalences between freshman year in France and at Tulane university ? thank you for your videos ! :)
Wow, that's quite the move from France! (CODOFIL program seems great) I wish you the best of luck. As for Tulane, we have a lot of international students here as well as a supportive program. The University of New Orleans also claims to have a large population of international students. To be honest, I am not sure about transfer credit from the University of Dijon, but if you contact the Department of Psychology at Tulane and send the syllabus of your classes to them, they can determine whether or not your credit will transfer. Once again, I wish you the best of luck - I know moving across the world can be burdensome, especially at this time.
@@AlexSuh thanks for your answer and support! I'll ask people in charge of the program to see if I could get to Tulane for 2021 but I don't have great expectations... anyway thanks again !
Current Poli Sci student at Tulane here. It is great! The professors have had lots of prevalent experience. One of mine was an active lobbyist in DC And another was a diplomat at the UN for Germany. All of them are very knowledgeable in their areas and make themselves accessibleto interested students.

I'm friends with a lot of international students, so I'll try pumping out more of that type of content.

Ive got a fun vid coming up in the next month....
Do you need a really high SAT score to get into Tulane?
Average ACT is 32. Also, just released a new video how to get into Tulane!

I’m a freshman in high school but my dream is Tulane. Love all your videos, they’re super helpful! How’s poli sci at Tulane?
Current Poli Sci student at Tulane here. It is great! The professors have had lots of prevalent experience. One of mine was an active lobbyist in DC And another was a diplomat at the UN for Germany. ^^^ Thanks, David!
Can you talk about how to get the RA position?
I talked about it quite a bit in my "Answering questions" videos - hopefully that helps!
Where can you store your bike or scooter?
I would keep it in your dorm room away from the weather/rain! During the winter, when it doesn’t rain as much, you can lock it to a bike rack
Hey man, what’s the support like for the sports on campus?
Tulane is a small sports school, but resources-wise, the sports teams receive a lot of funding!
@@AlexSuh well specifically what is the support like for the football team on campus?
Can a transfer student be a resident advisor their first year at Tulane?
There are plenty of transfer students who are RAs, but the interview process is the semester before the job starts
Are there any downsides to biking around campus?
When McAlister is busy, you sometimes have to hop off the bike and walk since there are so many students
Any tips for Tulane undergrads applying to Tulane med school? If not, it’s ok! :)
Highly recommend EDing and demonstrating interest more than anyting
do Canadians ever get excepted to Tulane? u ever met one their?
Honestly, I don't think I've met any Candians, but I'm sure many are accepted into Tulane!
I’m going there for party’s😎
no parties now... but definitely the reason to choose a college (jk)
