Please, if you have a pc and access to the PTB, listen to the chase music in game. It isn’t made to be enjoyed as a song, but rather to make chases more intense, which I (personally) think it succeeds at greatly.
There is nothing intense about it, the only thing it does is making my head hurt while playing as xenomorph (remember that killer only hears the last part and you hear this shitty 1 second loop for 70% of the match)
@@darthcalculus6002 You can use the siren sound in your music without repeating it every half a second with an annoying metal slam sound. Lately all of the chase themes are loud repeating short 1-2 seconds loops, that not only make hearing footsteps and breathing impossible, but are also unpleasant to listen to. It's such a shame, since before Skull Merchant all of the chase tracks had longer loops and were absolute bangers (my favourite is Spirit and PH chase themes and the second one also has metalic sounds without being annoying). It feels like the composer forgot, that the killer player only hears the chase part, and i hope he will change this theme before full release. I like this chase more then live because Live chase isnt scary because it sound like boss fight you see in dark souls or Combat game...this chase music really gave off that sinster vibe of xenomorph
I genuinely wish they didn’t change the PTB music. A lot of people say that this chase music was annoying which I can agree with, but this chase music suited the Alien much more than the new one because it used the alarms on the Nostromo, that alarm giving such a huge sense of urgency when the Alien eventually chases you. The live music is more reminiscent of Aliens (the second film) which is a completely different type of movie compared to the first film because it has more action, not really horror like the first one which the Xenomorph in DBD is based on.
this theme sounded like you were stranded with an alien creature, in its territory with no where to hide. it was really intense and sounded like an ACTUAL horror theme but nah they had to change it because too many ppl complained about it being annoying? bhvr really missed this one
Honestly that's way too stupid, like come on, only problem was the alarm from the Nostradomo, maybe they could keep that one as detail when you were playing at that map, i mean, is weird at first but you get used to it, can't deny just removing that thing could be way better but that's the only thing they needed to do
I'm cool with the new one, but honestly i was one of the few that were fine with this one staying. Sounds like you're being chased through the Nostromo with emergency alarms blaring ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Agree, this one sounds like something out of isolation or the first movie Current one sounds more cinematic like something out of 3 or the AVP games and i like the feel of this one more. I just wish they cooked more with this one instead of completely scrapping it
i don't know how people can hate this theme so much, it really encapsulates the alien's atmosphere, especially in game. Now i see people complaining about the live theme while they were complaining about this one as well, hypocrisy at it's best
I feel like something they could've done was just either quieted down the alarm a tad or just made it less frequent throughout the song. Otherwise this is literally perfect and I'm upset this isn't what we got in the Live version.
This one has a simultaneously insect-like and industrial sound to it, the first two layers sound like you're in a spider's nest, the third feels like you've walked into an isolated industrial facility, and the fourth sounds like something after you. Kind of tells a story in a way, you've walked into the alien's nest, ran off to other parts of the ship, and now it's after you
Layer 1-3 are fantastic. Layer 4 is just a washing machine cymbal monkey, but thats the only downside. I feel like some more bassy drums removing the squeaking would fix this hands down. Its a shame we lost 1-3 because 4 was mid in comparison
Layer 3 sounds pretty intimidating but the acual chase sounds like me cleaning my Window over and over. I hope they change the acual chase part, singularity had a similar problem and they changed it.
Wish we had the option (As Killer) to choose what music we want. I think the new theme is cool and works, but this was good and it feels like a shame not to have it.
I hate how the people who complain about chase music ruin it when it goes live. It’s like with ghostface, his old music made it feel like a horror game but because of those who complained they changed. Then it’s like they come back and want it reversed.
Why were you people so mad about this? This is an actual banger!
Sounds intense yes, but can get anoying after listening to it for 2 games straight
(Misread plz ignore) The game has lost its ability to be fun... it's too frustrating and toxic... reasons why I gave up long ago...

Haunting Ground...my favourite impossible chapter for dbd. Daniella would be a cool killer, she could inflict panic on the survivors and make them move erraticaly, like Fiona in the game.
@@somerandomguy9891 YES! The Panic Meter could be the thing that fills up around the Survivors' portraits. When it reaches full, they scream and the controls become _slightly_ inverted, making getting away more difficult. The Belli Castle map could have alchemy and/or synthesizing stations to create lavendar/sedatio to reduce Panic. On the flip side, Daniela's add-ons could summon Luminessants or baby Homunculi to cause Panic and make noise. It would be SO perfect!
@@somerandomguy9891Mine would be either ObsCure or Rule of Rose, both are a bit old but extremely good games with deep lore and interesting monsters that could work
I want this chase music to be in the LIVE version of the game. It's so similar to the first movie sounds.
sighhh I’ll miss you old chase music
This chase theme gives alot of pressure to the survivors and that's what i expect from a horror game
This was better chase music than the current one in the game 😢
bffr 💀
@@anna.luv3we’re fr, new one sounds too much like nurse theme, wake up.
it also doesn't sound special anymore. It's like a standard chase music that wraith, pig, freddy, etc have@@meiyeumi
@@Woollyyyx3 literally :/ it’s such a shame
These people must have not seen the movie alien in the movie they didn’t have a similar theme like this trash the new one sounds like ur getting chased in the actual movie Watch the movies first don’t say things
I legit do not understand how people get headaches this badly from soundtracks, unless your audio is blasted to hell and back i dont think its that bad
I mean it’s also just not that good of a chase theme either
@@Pigeon88172
Way better than the live one, this kept to its source material for the most part (the sirens). The new one has that same feeling to the nurses chase music, and Chucky's to some extent.
@@Pigeon88172it's an amazing chase theme but I can see how as killer it would get old in a match
This’s so much better than the live one.
We should've just enjoyed this while we had it...
Even though it kinda sounds like a windshield wiper, it's way better than the Fallout 3 battle music we have now
Finally, music that is good to listen and makes you feel like your in a horror game. I’m grateful for this chapter.
Edit: I’m going to be real, if they just made the Ptb version have a longer cycle I think it would be good. I like the actual urgency and horror in it, the new one kinda just sounds like a legacy chase music but it’s okay.
Chase music really said: 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
I won’t stop loving this because it was better than the one we got
Edit: to this day as of August 2024 1 year after being released I still wish this one was in the game.
I hear the siren but I hear a wind shield wiper at the same time. I love it.
The terror radius itself is amazing but they definitely need to work on that chase music again. It really does sound like a windshield wiper lmao
That “windshield wiper” is the alarm siren from Nostromo Station. It’s literally the same alarm from the original 1979 movie
@@DrAnimePhDNo it is not. The alarm from the original movie sounds so much stronger and more frightening than whatever this is
@@DrAnimePhD I think it's actually from Alien Isolation, the game.
@@DrAnimePhD Your right, as an OG fan I recognize the alarm immediately and I loved it.
it's the alarm from the game bro. I played Alien Isolation years ago and I know that it's from the game@@jmr_draws
this is actually better than the live in my opinion, has alot of horror in it
So, so much better than the trash that is Live.
As a non-dbd player and a former fireteam elite player. I like this theme. Fits the mood when you see 4 orange blips on the map.
I actually really liked this, it was super scary while in chase i miss it alot
After the washingmachine, i present you the wiper !
💀
lets not ruin another chase theme
@@YverOn god, this shows how some people never watched the first film.
Cant wait for the Microwave next chapter lol
@@Yverfr, dbd players have been such crybabies ever since Ghostface’s PTB chase, complaining about every single chase released since then
The PTB chase music was so much better imo
this one better
tbh i love when dbd makes really chaotic and overwhelming chase themes
Damn I was hoping that they would just tweak this chase music, 😢 not completely change it 😭
This is my new favorite chase music because I understand what its referencing and it just sounds cool
They changed the chase music =\
New chase nothing compare this master piece look like xenomorph going have ghost face chase music problem again
I like this chase more then live because Live chase isnt scary because it sound like boss fight you see in dark souls or Combat game...this chase music really gave off that sinster vibe of xenomorph
@@Retold. Yeah, I agree, but for me, it's hard to tell which chase music is better
I miss this one so much more
I genuinely wish they didn’t change the PTB music.
They actually should’ve had tried to keep the ptb one and tweak it a bit. but either way the live version sounds also really cool :)
I love this gem of a theme
this theme sounded like you were stranded with an alien creature, in its territory with no where to hide. it was really intense and sounded like an ACTUAL horror theme but nah they had to change it because too many ppl complained about it being annoying? bhvr really missed this one
Agree, this one sounds like something out of isolation or the first movie
Current one sounds more cinematic like something out of 3 or the AVP games and i like the feel of this one more. I just wish they cooked more with this one instead of completely scrapping it
I don't know why but when it transitioned to the chase music it genuinely scared me because of how loud it was 😂
bruh i hate the people who complained
The chase theme sounds like you are in a spaceship with fire and explosions and everything is going to hell.
i don't know how people can hate this theme so much, it really encapsulates the alien's atmosphere, especially in game.
I actually liked this one
Damn... I'll miss you PTB theme...
This chase music fits xeno more than the live version
Yep, it remind me of OG alien movie alarm, such a shame they've changed it
The chase part sounds like me applying wax to my car lol.
This song reminds me the fellings I had when I saw the Xenomorphe in the movie.
This one has a simultaneously insect-like and industrial sound to it, the first two layers sound like you're in a spider's nest, the third feels like you've walked into an isolated industrial facility, and the fourth sounds like something after you. Kind of tells a story in a way, you've walked into the alien's nest, ran off to other parts of the ship, and now it's after you
2:57 Would the background sound be the ship's sirens?
Yep. Those “windshield wipers” are the exact alarm sounds the ship made in the original movie
it’s not
@@sorathesapphirestar8107 the other guy said yes
@@Main_Chucky.Cheryl he has replied the same thing to several people, but it is false. all it takes is one search on youtube.
@@sorathesapphirestar8107 So, why don't you go search your father?
way more intense than the live one. Both are great, but this one feels less like a boss battle and more like a hopeless attempt to escape
This one screams ALIEN and live screams ALIENS.
literallyyyy
Live screams generic horror chase theme
@ I thought so too, but watch Aliens again. It def has been inspired by it
@@Balerion_TBD maybe so but xenomorph still is the biggest disappointment in DBD since Freddy.
this chase is a banger and I think it suits
This one is so much better than the new one, bring this one back asapp
Layer 1-3 are fantastic. Layer 4 is just a washing machine cymbal monkey, but thats the only downside.
I feel like some more bassy drums removing the squeaking would fix this hands down.
Its a shame we lost 1-3 because 4 was mid in comparison
Your telling me this is the orangle chase msuic i never seen the movies but man this sounds better fits him more
Layer 3 sounds pretty intimidating but the acual chase sounds like me cleaning my Window over and over. I hope they change the acual chase part, singularity had a similar problem and they changed it.
They’re not changing it because that “windshield wiper” you hear is the actual alarm sounds from the ship in the original movie
Hated how they removed the Nostromo Alarms to it. that was the point of its chase theme... sad.
This version was almost perfect. The chase theme needed to be adjusted a bit. Layers 1-3 are good
I miss this music so much I am sad they changed it😢😭😭😭😭😢😭😢
WAY better than the One In the PTB
Live one Sounds Like a Cheap Horror Movie
This One sounds Actually Scary and Gives you a Bad eerie vibe
I like the chase theme in this more, its like i just escaped a locked ship and now the alarms are blaring as i run
As a long time die hard fan of Aliens
God i miss this chase music
This was the freaking scariest Chase musique ever. Now Xeno Chase is just… epic and cool
Alien chase music ptb version: car window cleaner noises with metal being slapped together
Still sounds intense tho
This musik is more fitting for the xenomorph. The one we have now would fit someone like jason more.
The live version still fits Xeno, it just leans more toward the action-horror vibe of the sequels.
@@franciscoaguilar2597yh but i think i it would fit someone like jason more. Someone brute. Its still cool tho
Nostromo's siren, very Nice detail
Its a great time to be a horror fan!
Honestly, they should have kept the 8-Meter, its so sick! 1:58
Innitt 😢
Wish we had the option (As Killer) to choose what music we want. I think the new theme is cool and works, but this was good and it feels like a shame not to have it.
I hate how the people who complain about chase music ruin it when it goes live. It’s like with ghostface, his old music made it feel like a horror game but because of those who complained they changed. Then it’s like they come back and want it reversed.
