They made the change because of stereotypes - they didn’t want to have a black character going to school for athletics while the white girl got a scholarship for being smart - so they switched them and I think it works a lot better! We see Meg’s OG character model in her tome video with the race - and Claudette’s Model is in the very first trailer!
