Of course i had watched
I have the current version however this one is quite different and amazing
The piece Is Beautiful...
Omega is one of the big brands that are undervalued, always in a market fight mainly with Rolex. Here they demonstrate the great art of watchmaking and the technical excellence of decades of being a benchmark in the world watchmaking industry.
Well done Omega
Thanks for your summary and sharing it with us! I couldn’t agree more... 😉
This watch is so beautiful - it’s inspiring enough that I realize I need to work harder/smarter to get promoted so I can afford it one day.
It is very very special and I could see why you think that. Good luck to you!
I keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏼 GO FOR IT!
The thing I like most about this watch is that you can tell the Rolex boys at the bar " I can unfortunately only afford a Speedmaster".
He he! Love your comment!
Who is the dumb guy that dislike your video?!😠
Never mind!
Your last 2 content are milestone for watch enthusiast like us! Thanks Alexander!
Don’t worry be happy! Envy and ill-will are everywhere 😆
What a truely amazing watch.. Showing omegas passion for innovative watches . Stunning
Only very few brands are so accurate in every detail. It is also due to the Swatch Group with all its artisanal and industrial power that such projects are feasible...
Incredible craftsmanship.. With rare materials.. Great to see that the quartz erz hasn't killed off.Real horolagy. Its just made it even better
Good summary! Thanks for sharing...
That is a dreamwatch, I fell in love, thanks a lot:(
I can literally see the sparkle in your eyes 😉
Pound for pound the Speedmaster is the best watch on the market.,
Euro for Euro too... 😉
3:22 Lunar meteorites are classified as Stone-Achondrite , just as Mars meteorites. At such a pricy watch, could Omega not mention which meteorite this is precisely ( Which NWA series ? )
Don't forget some people in Your audience have a scientific background as geologist, astronomer or chemist... others served 35 years+ in the military, so be more precise in Your information !
Thanks for your remark! I will pass your comment to Gregory. I still hope you liked the video though...
Great journalism. As omega fan boy, the industrial design level of this piece is unmatchable. This is Patek level work.
What a wonderful summary of our video! 👍🏼🙏🏻😉
Rock = $1
Shipping = $1M dollar =D
It was a lunar meteorite… so shipping to earth was free … 😉
@@WatchAdvisor lol :D! That is true… It is the finder’s fee :D
Love Omega, I'm proud to be lucky enough to own one.
I collect Speedmaster chronographs since I am 20...
Just saw a 35 pound meteorite from the moon is going up for sale for $2,500,000!
Wow 😳!
Alexander excellent presentation as usual. Omega has an amazing engineering and artistic facilities, mind boggling. I think I will wait until this model appears on the grey market. :-)
Unparalleled watchmaking and emotional history telling... I assume we won’t see this Speedmaster being sold on the grey market... only less than 100 pieces per year ...
@@WatchAdvisor Alexander I was joking :-) Platinum, moon asteroid and 100 pieces...highly unlikely :-)
The material choice is top notch. The grail speedmaster. Great presentation and interview
This Speedmaster, directly without detour, can be named ICONIC!
This is just silly good. Absolutely love your videos! Incredible watch and story of course.
Love your comment! Thank you! As written in the other comment, always feel free to ask me if you have questions...
A jewel, Amazing beautiful piece Great video, waiting for the next one, Cheers
There is a series of Omega videos in the pipeline...
Looking forward to the Vanta black version in the future.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vantablack ... interesting material in fact!
This video is one for my Omega file/library.
Wonderful! Simply wonderful... 😊
Treat yourself to the watch Alexander!
I can’t buy all of the watches I fall on love with... Need to win the lottery first 🤣
All things considered (Platinum, meteorite, historic meaning, 321 movement), is it worth $70k?
Yes! Just compare what other watches cost and what you get…
No it’s not worth 70k to me, the movement is the same as a 7000 dollar Speedmaster, so you are basically paying for the case. There are also way cheaper Speedmasters with a full meteorite dial. Still a lovely watch though…
@whatsup4616 if you're a steel customer ... then you won't be able to justify the cost. If you're interested in other platinum watches ... then it's competitive
That's a very fine watch. Very impressive. I enjoyed the presentation too. Thanks.
This Speedmaster now is with no doubt the leader of the pack... 😉
Thanks for your in depth watch videos. A great looking watch.
I am happy to read this! Please let me know if you have any additional questions...
incredible amount of details of what take place behind the story of this gorgeous speedmaster.
And there would be even much more to tell... 😉
Thank you for the great in depth review, fantastic watch however WTF Omega ?They are selling this for 50k Euro with a basic moon watch presentation box ?
Insane
Thanks for your feedback! What did you expect? What would have been the appropriate presentation box?
Well, the platinum Rolex Daytona comes in just a regular Rolex box!
Omega watches are by far my favorite watch brand I love this timepiece...
The Omega Speedmaster is an iconic chronograph and in this particular execution paralleled.
Great content as usual Alexander! Omega is one of my favorite brands.
He he... mine too 😉
A great review. Given the rare materials (my ladder will not reach the moon, yet but I'm working on it, it was too windy today to make much progress) the precious materials used combined with the number of manual processes required to produce the movement, I hate to say it that although the price is way out of my range it does seem reasonable compared to err... some other terrestrial watches. It looks fantastic. I do wonder if Omega will ever make a return on the investment on the development costs but what an incredible result. I love this watch! I dare not ask if it's METAS certified :-)
Anthony, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. I very much like what you wrote. Emotional! No, this Calibre 321 is not Master Chronometer certified. Did you watch this video? ua-cam.com/video/zmjUSfVdsxE/v-deo.html
@@WatchAdvisor Alexander, thank you for the comment, always apprecieated. I always watch the video before any comment. Please accept my apologies I should maybe have made it clearer that the METAS certification comment part was in my part intended humour. Not serious. As someone who has to daily deal with standards, compliance and certification this part maybe got lost in my words.
@@anthonystevens8683 I hear you! Since that is part of your daily life... Have you seen the METAS specifications in all details? www.metas.ch/metas/en/home/dok/rechtliches/Zertifizierung_Uhren.html You can download the PDF in English...
@@WatchAdvisor Many thanks Alexander, I hadn't looked into the METAS detailed specification other than the movemen and fully cased movements tested in 6 positions, accuracy 0 to +5 seconds per day and resistant to 15000 gauss . This is terrific reading as this refers to something I am interested in as part of my horology hobby. I will be looking for the JLC 1000 hours, detailed COSC (movement only) and Superlative standards (movement and cased) next.
The boring standards I'm more familiar with during my working life include selected parts of ETSI (old CCITT if I recall correctly), ANSI, CE/IC, FCC, IEC. Thanks again Alexander!
Thanks for your detailed feedback! I am happy to read this... By the way... we are working on (editing) some pretty cool videos that will give real insights about the METAS testing at Omega ...
The camera work is amazing! Always in focus and so bright and clear!
Thank you very much! I’ll pass your remarks to Jorge... He will be happy to read this...
Incredible work from Omega. Now that's a true meteorite dial.
The entire watch is done in an unparalleled way! I'd call that art, ticking art!
The transition is complete: a tough tool-watch has become a very fine and highly exclusive luxury item! It is an outstanding timepiece - surely one of the best ever from Omega? :-)
BTW Congratulations to Gregory - he and his team have done a really amazing job.
Yes, true! This Speedmaster is unparalleled so far and is already today a collectible iconic item
I liked this Platinum Moonwatch from the moment it was presented. It was good to see a much deeper explanation of it’s elements and the way they are produced. Thanks! I feel It is good that I still have not bought the Moonwatch as I wanted a special one and this indeed looks and feels special. On the practical side though, the special platinum Omega uses, claimed to be harder than a regular platinum. But by how much? Some brands make their steel harder and actually say by how much. I wonder, at least, compared to gold or regular steel- is it going to be more scratch resistant? I doubt of course. The other issue for me is the 42 mm case. Concerned about it being too large on me. The first Omega in space being 39 mm feels a bit too small on the other hand. So there must be a sweet spot, as often the case, if the watch diameter was 40-41, would be perfect...
I will check the hardness of the platinum with Gregory and let you know... Concerning the size the best you can do is to go for a touch and feel... only when trying the Speedmaster on your wrist you will know if yes or no... Let me know afterwards what you thought...
Thanks so much for replying. I will wait for the info. And of course you are right about the touch and feel. I need to see in flesh and try it on. And this is an issue as I've been told that it has to be special ordered in order to get it. I hope, since it is not a limited edition, that I will be able to see it in a Boutique some day. Otherwise, like I said, it is quite an attractive variant of the Moonwatch for me. Really special, very understated which is nice. Subtle details make it cool, only people who know will realize it is an expensive Omega, which also suits me perfectly.
The other expensive Omega that I want to try and the Seamaster Aquaterra ultra light. People hate it, criticizing it's price. It is expensive for an Omega, but it is in my view, a good watch. Really innovative. I like the colors and the fabric strap, the crown that locks inside the case. Really want to see that one in person too. I hope you make a video on it too. That watch, I am sure, the Size will be ok.
This is very cool! Omega had fun with their line without disrespecting it like a certain diving Richemont brand.
Other than specs, what is the difference between the old cal. 321 and new 321? Are there fewer parts in the new one or not? This is a question I forgot to ask yesterday.
The old and new 321 are 100% identical. Only the power reserve increased from 40 - 45 to 55 with chronograph running and 60 hours without. This is due to the today better quality of barrel-springs...
4:13 The sub-dials look amazing!!!
And every Speedmaster will be unique in the end, since there will not be one having exactly the same sub-dials
Outstanding and informative video.
Thank you very much! I am happy to read this! Let me know if you have any questions ...
Thank you Sir for bringing us the latest news of watch industries ! Really enjoy the interview , you guys covered all the details and history behind this magnificent watch ! Again Alexander, excellent video! Great journalistic work. About the Omega SpeedMaster, what can I say a dream in Platinum ... Who would not like to wear a piece of the moon on their wrist? And even more so when it is a replica of the model that made history. Great video!
The platinum version is the cherry 🍒 on the cake 🍰 ... all Speedmaster chronographs are fully loaded with emotions ... it was my first watch I bought for earned money, already then I was fascinated by it...
Beautiful watch, Alexander 😳👍.
It is! I happy that you like this ticking piece of art...
I've subscribed and hit the bell sir 😸❤️ Nice video and the piece of art watch. Thank you for sharing.
I love your comment! Welcome to Watchadvisor on UA-cam! If you have questions please let me know...
Wow! Simply stunning watch and presented wonderfully in your video Alexander
Thank you
This was my intention ... it seems we did it... I am happy to read this...
Absolutely stunning , and thank you 🙏 so much for sharing your great video Sir 👍 Tam.
I am touched by your comment, thank you! I love to share my passion and such super emotional stories...
Love this watch, it’s a typical “if you know, you know watch”
Yes, true! Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
That would be an awesome Chronograph for people who want extreme uniqueness, I think this one is definitely a new contender for the Daytona Platinum.
Both chronographs are outstanding timepieces and deserve to be seen as the ultimate ones of it species. I personally would go for the Speedmaster though... The Speedmaster was the first watch I bought from earned money and I could have chosen a Daytona... Both were laying in front of me... I remember if it was yesterday and I choose the Omega...
@@WatchAdvisor the first watch is always something to be cherished, definitely a good choice. I think if I had the budget for an ultimate Chronograph, I would go for an A. Lange & Söhne Datograph, or the platinum Daytona with the arabic dial.
Abdul R Watches Datograph or Daytona? A. Lange & Söhne! This is an easy one 😜
@@WatchAdvisor Agree 😁😁👍 easy choice
Yep!
A wonderful watch, but the best part is how casually you lifting the moonstone Alexander.
😳🤣🙌🏻
Such a versatile model - Omega Speedmaster, looks good no matter how its dressed, the platinum one is a very special.
The Speedmaster in tails and top-hatted 😉
Bet he didn’t like the comment about making 10.000 watches
Probably 😉
What a piece of art !
You name it. That’s what I’ve been writing before as answer to some comments... 😉
One of the favourite watches, ever. Nice channel!
The first watch I bought from my earned money was a Speedmaster ... I can understand ... Thanks for the wonderful feedback!
WatchAdvisor it was my first as well . Keep up
🙌🏻 👍🏼 Yes Sir! 😉
Thanks Förch your Passion for watches. Great Video of a Great watch
Thanks 🙏🏻 I couldn’t agree more!
I think this Platinum White Gold alloy has found its way also into a new Seamaster also?
Confirmed! This is the Seamster... www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-diver-300m-omega-co-axial-master-chronometer-42-mm-21093422001001
Looks great. I’m now saving up to a seamaster 300. Need a date windo :)
Which Seamster 300 do you have in mind?
Best watch in the whole damn world ! Can’t wait to get myself a regular one
I keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏼 If you have questions please let me know...
Haha....I want to be a Space Cowboy.... Partner. Now let's go to the gift shop quietly. I want my Mickey Mouse.

@@WatchAdvisor lol 😄
Great presentation, 👍

Wow beautiful 😍 great video and explanation
Thanks 🙏🏻 for the positive feedback!
Cheesy joke incoming: 7:03 he'll never be my real dial!
😂
Help my guys... I don’t get the funny part here ...
Mr. Kissling says "step dial" meaning to say "stepped dial" (probably). I was referring to a child refusing to accept another father (stepfather) that married into their life and was drawing a parallel with the statement Mr. Kissling made.
Matthew Faulkner Now I understand! Thanks for clarifying... Sometimes I need a short private lesson. 🤷🏻♂️ Said this way it’s funny and your comment very funny, I love that humor 😆
Great to see Omega using lunar material. Would they consider using vantablack for the dial?
Someone else mentioned Vantablack before. They could have done it, but I assume Omega wanted to use a stone instead... Vantablack is blacker than black... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vantablack
@@WatchAdvisor Looks brilliant anyway. There are new innovations all the time so looking forward to the future at Omega. At the moment I'm seriously considering the Auaterra Blue on the blue rubber strap as an everyday watch. Understated and yet a stunning master chronometer. Thank you for showcasing the Speedmaster and always producing high quality videos.
Speechless at the price krikey that's expensive
Mark, that’s art! Not just a “simple” chronograph...
Bautiful watch. Hoping for a steel version👍🏼
well there is a Steel version with the 321 movement. It costs 13.000€ but is pretty impossible to get at the moment
Only approximately 1000 per year are going to be made...
I want one!
Very special watch indeed! But they missed a trick: using Vanta Black, the blackest substance invented. 😁😁😁
Interesting! Thanks for sharing! Onyx instead is an acceptable choice I think...
That is my Grail Watch. I already own the 50th Anniversary BiColor Speedy, but the Platinum One with the Moon Meteorite is so awesome. I like the Understatement look, but not the price 😅 So will be a way to achieve this without trading my collection and to get an income such a watch seems not to be out of your league.
You are not alone! Dreaming about such an incredible watch is what we all do… Love your passion! Keep it up ….
Great watch and very good review.
Thank you for your positive feedback!
I was just offered this today and sad to say turned it down waiting for the steel version
There are some rumours about Omega changing the regular Moonwatch in 2020, is there any truth in that?
No worries! Nothing dramatic... Omega will “only” equip/upgrade the chronograph with the new fully antimagnetic, Master Chronometer Certified Calibre 3861 ...
good video by mr alexander, good job omega, by the way, is it just me feeling this or seems like all watch executives alexander interview here speak english with strong french accents ? are all luxury watch executives french ???
alan alan Four languages are spoken in Switzerland officially. The watches are mainly manufactured in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Biel is at the “border” where people speak either French or German. Gregory’s mother tongue though is French... When I film in the Jura, the Vallée de Joux, in Geneva, Neuchâtel French is the official spoken language...
lovely combo. thumbs up
🙌🏻
Beautiful watch!
Allow me to be curious and ask you: What impressed you most?
WatchAdvisor I really like the use of the moon stone, it has the 321 movement, one of my favorite Omega. A true craftsman builds the watch.
This Speedmaster is a demonstration of what one can do if he really wishes to surprise its customers and community.
my Seiko Sarb033 traveled to the valley of the moon in Chile, and I'm not boasting
Cool 😎
Well done - this is out of my reach but waiting for the ED White which might be more in my price range
This Speedmaster in fact is special! You have to appreciate all the outstanding craftsmanship and you must be able and willing to pay for it.
Indium isn’t noble (the other constituents: platinum, gold & iridium are of course), but frankly that’s splitting hairs; it’s still an amazing platinum alloy, and a fantastic watch.
Have you seen this Speedmaster in real yet?
What’s platinum scratch resistance compared to gold, titanium and steel ?
You will find some answers here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardnesses_of_the_elements_(data_page)
generation 4 in steel with ceramic bezel insert and 321 movement pls!
Greg did you read? 😉
Great vidéo Alexandre.. thank you
What are you wearing is it FPJOURNE ?
No! That’s the Omega Speedmaster „Speedy Tuesday“
These videos are fantastic
I know! Thanks to Gregory and his team and the unparalleled history Omega has to offer...
WatchAdvisor Thanks Alex! Also Alex can we expect to see you do a detailed video on the El primero Manufactures editon?
How do you know that I filmed the El Primero Manufacture Edition already? Do you spy in office 🤣 Yes, the video is being edited as I write and will go online next week...
WatchAdvisor 😂 I shall speak no more! Thanks Alex!
Love your comment!
No way it is 43mm lug to lug.. Great video though!
43 mm are reasonable! What’s wrong with that size?
@@WatchAdvisor Come on, I was sure you just made a mistake and correct yourself in the comment. It is probably not less than 48mm lug to lug, not 43mm. It has a diameter of 42mm, do the math. Any amateur can tell you a 42mm watch can't have a 43mm lug 2 lug. I'm Disappointed but nevertheless keep the great videos. Just check the facts please..
It is 48 mm of course! That's a typo! Apologies for that one. Also in the description of the video it is clearly mentioned that it is 48 mm. I can also send you the picture where I measured the Speedmaster by email if you wish... My fault, apologies once again... And one more thing: That's not reason to be disappointed - please. I am not perfect, you are not perfect... 😉
@@WatchAdvisor My comment seemed more harsh than it should, just when you commeneted again 43mm it seemed really weird.. that maybe you actually think it is 43mm. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Love your work and waiting for the SS version (which probably has around 45-46 lug 2 lug since it is 39.7 if im not mistaken).
No worries! Thanks for letting me know ... Where there's work, occasional mistakes may be made ...
I hope you’ll spare one soon in The Gardens at Mid Valley !
I don't get the point... Can you please specify?
That watch looks terrible on leather, either put the watch on a NASA certified nylon type velcro or keep ss band.....leather is the worst, unless it's a Bund
When buying the watch - as shown in the video - you get two additional straps... One is exactly the velcro you describe ...
@@WatchAdvisor very nice!!
Speechless....

A fan of you , a fan and collector of Omega. This week I bought the new Bond Titanium Seamaster and your video on that watch is the best on UA-cam. Keep up the good work and hope to meet you if you’re gonna be in NYC one day, maybe at a watch party somewhere. Stay safe
Love your comment! And yes, we will meet once. I am a huge fan of NYC and normally go there a couple of times per year...
I got the chance to wear this watch at the OMEGA-Boutique in Biel. It is unbelievable beautiful. The black of the onyx is impressive. It took me minutes to stop watching it. When i turned the watch around I saw the 321 for the first time in real. Felt in love with it. Everyone should get the chance to see this watch even once in his life. This watch is done perfect and shows why OMEGA is the best company of manufacturing watches. Congratulation OMEGA and thanks for this video to Alexander.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful story with us! When I read this I get goosebumps 😉 Pure emotions!
Amazing
What exactly? Can you specify?
Where's the deployant clasp?
It is an homage to the original Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch! This chronograph never was equipped with a folding clasp …
I would hope you could specify a deployant, if you were going to wear the watch as a daily… 😊
You sound like London watch collector!
Really?
