Wow. This guy...very niche skills. He adds value. Big time.
Hi, Great videos guys, I have an Almadia Chronograph Suisse 2 register watch in a 18K gold body from the late 1940s/1950s. I took it to a watchmaker and he said it had a Lemania 5573 calibre movement and the parts are compatible with a ETA 5570 calibre and so he will source the worn parts from this movement. However, I have not heard of a lemania 5573 movement! I would have thought the movement would be a 2310 which fits the 17 jewel manual wind that my watch has. My question is have you heard of a Lemania 5573 calibre?
Ive cleaned my 6498's several times but THIS...THIS is a whole other story....HELL NO! Magic Mike will get a call from me once its time to do that job! Cool new series for the gearhead watch owner!
Mike I have a Lemania ch27 that my late father purchased in Germany when he was stationed there in 1945-46. It is missing the sten and I know it has not run in probably 65-70 years or so. Where can I get this looked at and fixed. I would love to fully restore it! I know it will be expensive.
Excellent stuff. We need more watchmakers like Mike and less watchguys on UA-cam.
Mike Michaels is the man.
Mike is awesome!
