@@techloop3 I finally got it to work, the issue was because the Z440 doesn't have on-board WiFi, the BIOS would only download the update with an ethernet cable plugged in. So I plugged an ethernet cable from my laptop into the Z440, and shared the internet connection. Then the BIOS would download & install the v2.62 update. I use Linux, so doing it under Windows is a no go.
So you can download the BIOS update from within the BIOS menu, without needing to have Windows installed?

some time Sever error occur server not connect . you try the bios update through windows.download the bios file and install it .
