Kyle Hendricks game 6 of the 2016 NLCS, Kerry Wood's 20 K game, Jake Arrieta's no hitter vs the Dodgers, Roy Halladay postseason no hitter, and that's just a few
Die hard Padres fan here. Watch Mad Bum go nuts in the World Series was both awful and amazing. That dude was a beast that postseason. The only other good news from that World Series was Bochy getting another ring.
Orel Hershiser, 1988 Playoffs. Game 1 NLCS, Hershiser goes 8.1 giving up 2 runs on 7 hits and gives a lead to Jay Howell, who blows the game by allowing a double to Gary Carter. Game 3 (on 3 days rest), Hershiser gives up 3 runs, 1 earned, in 7 innings, leaving with the lead, to watch Howell and the pen blow that game. The very next night, Hershiser comes in to the bottom of the 12th with the bases loaded and 2 outs and get's Kevin McReynolds to fly out to win the game. Finally for that series, Hershiser, in game 7, throws a 5 hit shutout. World Series, game 2 (again on 3 days rest), Hershiser Shuts out Oakland A's on 3 hits while going 3 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Then, in game 5, Hershiser throws his 3rd complete game of the playoffs, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. (he didn't hit because it was an AL park). So, final tally: 5 starts, one relief appearance, 3 complete games, 2 shutouts and a save. 42 and 2/3 innings, 25 hits, 7 runs (5 earned) 13 walks, 32 strikeouts. NLCS MVP. World Series MVP. oh, and that was after the year when he'd won the Cy Young with 23 wins, 267 innings, 8 shutouts! I should probably include his september line: 6 starts, 5 complete games, 5 shutouts, 55 innings, 30 hits, 0 runs allowed. Did I say only 5 shutouts? well, without really anything on the line, he threw 10 shutout innings of a game that ended up going 16 innings with the team losing 2-1.
@@baseballworldwide9439 it wasn't the best pitching performance on the list, but it was definitely the toughest and most bad ass performance on the list. Gritty!
Why not mention the Managers that made these outstanding decisions; when those decisions had to be made. I'm truly glad my team had Bochy in charge: 3 Championships in 5 years! And one more with Texas!! A humble Manager that understands his Team at its best.
Kurt Schilling is the perfect example of someone who did great in their sport but as soon as they stepped out of their lane they ruined their image completely.
What baffles me is Chris Carpenters game 5 nlds 2011 shutout isn’t on here against the heavy favorite Phillies in Philadelphia... wow.... Chris is so deserving to he was a bulldog....
Baseball Worldwide he is by far the best pitcher in baseball. Not the best last year but that’s only bc degrom had a record year. The only pitcher u could argue is kershaw, but the last 2 years he hasn’t been as good as scherzer. He goes to the mound and competes every 5th day and it’s his competitiveness that puts him up there
Michael Garvalia how could I argue kershaw? This isn’t 2015 brother. To seriously argue scherzer is better than a 8-10 win player like trout or betts is idiotic. And ps, if I could have one pitcher for a game 7, id take verlander. Verlander has been better than scherzer the past year and a half
TYLER 1. You have 9 subs lmao you’re pathetic 2. This channel was never meant to get a million subs. It’s MY channel so MY content. Sorry Kershyawn is washed up, declining and will never win a World Series, all of which is his fault
I remember watching Strasburg's debut and to this day it's still the most impressive debut I've ever seen from any player.
Fax.
updated lol ARZ pitcher no hitter in debut😂
Didnt JR Richard get like 15k his first start?
Thank you for including Bumgarner's epic World Series finish. I'll never forget it, and I never get tired of seeing it!
Tigers had verlander and scherzer crazy
Sweet Victory thinking the same thing
Couldn't win shit with neither of them😝
@@slasherdoce555 :(
And porcello, anibal sanchez, someone else good was in that rotation too, but i can't remember right now
Patrick Lawrence Benoit?
MadBum with the greatest pitching performance in World Series history in my opinion!
Mario L I agree. His performance is iconic
Best post season pitcher of all tim
I may sound biased as a Giants fan, but that was legendary! I remember watching the game with the fam and we went nuts!
1956, Don Larsen, World Series Game 5. Guy went and pitched a perfect game.
Don Larsen would like a few words about that
MadBum’s was by far the most badass
Schilling is not in the Hall of Fame but his sock is
Zigor Campos McGregor technically IN the HoF
It really is.....Go look in there for yourself xD
Where’s Tim Lincecum performance at game 5 of the 2010 World Series
To see your catcher teammate running at you with pure ecstasy after a final strikeout must be one of the greatest feelings ever.
Bartolo colon should just be every single one of these. 😂😂
I was there for game 2 when verlander pitched a gem. It was so much fun that day
Houston wouldn’t have won the World Series if they didn’t get Verlander at the trade deadline
A trade that haunts us Dodgers fans till this day, fucking Darvish over Verlander
Good thing the dodgers are young. Their window is not closing. If they were all 31 then yea it would suck. But hopefully they win a championship.
Elena Singer Not JV’s fault that LA was overmanaged/Darvish’d
Or if they didn't use trash cans
KneeDeep2231 don't have any of them now lmao. cubs got Yu
Kyle Hendricks game 6 of the 2016 NLCS, Kerry Wood's 20 K game, Jake Arrieta's no hitter vs the Dodgers, Roy Halladay postseason no hitter, and that's just a few
The Scherzer game when he came outta the bullpen was amazing, that was the most nervous I'd ever been for an Inning
His pitches were insane!
Nobody gives credit to the catcher. Catcher be bringing that mitt where it needs to be we appreciate you🥰
That schilling performance was legendary also too the David price and Chris sale in 2018 world series
Justin Verlander and Max scherzer right on the same team wow what a 1-2 punch
For a while, the Tigers had one of the best teams ever assembled on paper. They just never turned it into a title
And they got swept in the World Series too
This video is why Max Scherzer is my absolute favorite pitcher
He's my favorite non Cubs pitcher. He reminds me of what Kerry Wood may have been if he stayed healthy throughout his career.
Die hard Padres fan here.

Of course Nolan Ryan is on here
The bloody sock is legendary.
give my man David Cone some love 19 Ks as Met and a perfect game as a Yank straight New Yorkin 🗽
What about Kyle Hendricks’ gem in game 6 of the 2016 nlcs?
You beat me to it. That was only the second time in postseason play that a team faced only 27 batters.
Meh-Tyu really?!?! I had no idea!
@@one-mangarageband70 first time was a perfect game thrown by Don Larsen in the world series

That frame at 4:45 😍

That verlander inning is the best inning ever pitched
Wow tigers had scherecer and verlander here both a like
Lol imagine making a list like this and excluding Jack Morris's 1991 Game 7 10 inning shutout to win the World Series.
Curt Schilling's bloody sock game deserves to be pretty high on the list.

Bob Carpenter doesn’t know a fastball from a changeup

How do you have Scherzer and not Kerry Wood?!?
Justin verlander is nuts
Yessir.
Too bad the footage no longer exists of the greatest game ever pitched- July 2, 1963 between Warren Spahn and Juan Marachal.
Should’ve added Chris Carpenter in game 5 nods against Philadelphia, that was a goon on the mound that night
The Hulk Tyler O’Neill indeed he was a BULLDOG!!!!
Kershaw punching the air right now
If his career ended now and I was a writer I wouldnt vote him for the hall.
Ouch lol

The Bumgarner one is absolutely absurd
Kerry Wood would like a few words
You could have just put every game Nolan Ryan ever pitched on here
