Seriously, how bad does the pitcher need to be before they are pulled? If I was manager and our team starts going down 4-0 I’m pulling the pitcher, I won’t wait till the score is 11-0.
sometimes the bullpen will be tired and short handed so they "have" to leave them in to try to eat up innings and probably just accept a loss at that point
I seem to recall there being a Marlins game from years ago where the starter and the first reliever couldn’t get a single out. One of them started the very next day due to needing to rest the bullpen
According to google The most runs given up by a starting pitcher in a Major League Baseball game is 24 runs in 8 innings by Allan Travers of the Detroit Tigers on May 18, 1912.
Seemed like at a certain point Yankees were just leaving Tanaka out there as punishment 😂

Lol seriously right, they let it be the home run derby before pulling.

Maybe they are having a bad season so they don't give a shit

Or when your starting pitcher makes your team lose literally every game for two straight months - Orioles
Omg. The crowd at the Orioles one Jesus

135 ERA is pretty damn good
At least wasn’t infinite
It's a number that's big, big numbers are good
If the goal is to suck at pitching then yea it is good 😂 lower ERA the better
Would be awesome if you combine Tanaka's start with Porcello's start in the same game in London, both were terrible.

Idk bro the Jets vs Patriots maybe?
