I feel like Colorverse is telling a story with their inks. Like they are coming up with names and descriptions and then formulating the inks based on those things. Whereas Diamine is making the inks with the effects and sheens and being experimental and then naming them? Does that make sense? 😅😊
How interesting! I do love the little info cards with the Colorverse inks, but I love more how adventurous Diamine is. I do think that some of the Diamine inks are named based on certain "holiday" things like drinks/foods/stories. Maybe next year Diamine will change it up now that there is competition!
When you first opened the pink swatches and held it next to Birmingham Chrysanthemum, I thought you would pick that one. It looks like a very close match to me!
The BPC inks have a tendency to show up different on camera than they do in person! They are so hard to film haha. Morning glow is much lighter and a little less "purple" than the Chrysanthemum. But they are technically close!
pretty shading but meh Pilot Iroshizuku - Kiri Same Troublemaker - Moon River, Petrichor Sailor Yurameku - Itezora, Kitsune Biyori Sailor Ink Studio - 252
I can't believe it's the 18th already. It's wild how fast this is going. Morning glow was pretty but impractical for my purposes, which is a little sad, but the optimist in me is eager for tomorrow!
I am surprised at how many "lighter" inks they included. I'm happy that they are "different/exciting" but I don't think some of these are really usable unless they are in artistry.
Agree on the color haha! I wonder if white lightning will change the shading for this one, like it does for the Troublemaker inks. It is a pretty color to do a "wash" with on watercolor paper though!
I think there's a reason only a small handful of these inks will be released as larger bottles: who would care enough to buy these shades? The only one so far I would have handed over my cash for is DaVinci Glow and maybe for Rover. I feel like one of those beauty advent calendar victims 😂

Maybe. Diamine is definitely more adventurous.

Oh I love morning glow!! It’s warmer with those pinks and I’m going to buy it. Thanks for sharing!
It's definitely a more "soft" pink, but I like it for its unique color! Maybe this one will win in the votes!
This also really reminded me of Tundra from the Diamine Inkvent 🤔
Hmmm I can see it. Morning Glow is a bit more pink though!
Im so dissapointed with the number if glistening inks. I wish they had more with shimmers!
I agree! Especially for the price!
i love this colour and yet feel a little bummed and underwhelmed after the last two inks.
I know the feeling haha
pretty shading but meh
Pilot Iroshizuku - Kiri Same
Troublemaker - Moon River, Petrichor
Sailor Yurameku - Itezora, Kitsune Biyori
Sailor Ink Studio - 252
I feel like we could make a dupe of this with BPC's Sterling Silver, Teaberry Ice Cream and Gunpowder
Ooooo that might be worth a try!
You forgot sailing stones. This looks similar to that, too, especially in the writing.
You are correct! I think they sill lean slightly more pink/brown depending on the ink.

At least it wasn't a blue chromoshader 😭 I was pleased with this one, but I don't like it on the dry side. Too many dry inks from both brands!!

❤ love it

OH my goodness yes!! 😂😂😂 I know exactly what you mean!
