David Mitchell in Peep show does a good jokey rant about the expression "grow some balls" and "grow a spine", that being some 4 balled and 2 spined mutant will somehow make him braver and stronger?
It is a pretty weirdly funny mental image
This ep is so far-fetched! For privacy, Si & Tara go to her hostile sister's crowded houseshare 120m away, making it much more crowded by taking all his three friends with them!
🤣 I know right? I’d be furious if I were Tara aha
@@MeganRuth I cannot imagine this being allowed on any TV anywhere but the UK
Joe Thomas & Hannah Tointon have been a couple since 2012, so things worked out a lot better between them than Si & Tara, whom they played.
Loved this episode... If you're ever looking for another brit comedy show to react to, PLEASE do try Coupling. 😂
I wouldn't mind someone reacting to HIM & HER (Joe Wilkinson etc) - that one never comes up for some reason.
The vast majority of people in the UK don't have a basement.
Yes I’ve heard that before! Strangely enough almost every place I’ve lived in the UK has had a basement…
What's a basement , I don't seem to have one in my castle
I have a tactical basement ;) lol
University of Warwick is about 2.5 miles from my house although I believe they filmed it in London
I guess the reference to having "balls" is to do with producing testosterone, associated with aggression and masculinity. Not really how robust they are as a physical appendage.
Well, that's always been my understanding anyway.
This episode is probably the reason I am happy to be celibate. I prefer to avoid stressful and awkward situations
😅 if you have a decent normal girl or boy you wont have issues 😂 and dont be weird
@@emaze8965 That's the point though. I'm extremely socially awkward
@@richietribe9487 trust me i feel for you. I was socially inept until my 20's 😅 i couldnt speak to a girl without almost having a panic attack. The good thing is that i have good friends who were social and showed me examples of how to speak to girls without weirding them out. Took years for me to not panic and not have my stomach drop. I improved my fitness, style, made sure to wear a nice fragrance for smell it makes things just a little easier. I met my girl at work so it was a lot easier for me. Just have hope is all i would say and learn to speak to girls like their just your friends and dont treat them special because they get creeped out by that and then see you as 'too nice' wich is the worst
this video is so hilarious.do enjoy your evening.
Thank you! You too :)
The whole fact that testicles are sensitive is the reason that someone says, "you have to have balls to do that" 🙄
Im so glad this series came out when i was young, it just wouldn't happen in today's society
It takes big cervix’s to react to the inbetweeners, well done 👏 😁
😂 Thank you!!
Wow Megan...we learnt all sorts about you on this video!! I think that halo has well and truly gone now I'm afraid!! 😆
We don't say "basement" in the UK, we say "cellar"; most houses here don't have them anyway.
I’ve heard that basements aren’t common here, but almost every house I’ve lived in the uk has had one aha also we’ve always called it a basement! I’ve never heard it been called a cellar before…
@@MeganRuth Basement has become used more often than it used to be, especially if it's a living space rather than a storage space.
i lost my big v in a hotel, much better idea,, didnt bring any mates with me,
Tara and Simon are married in real life.
They're not married; they're an engaged, cohabiting couple who have a kid.
Beep beeby beep beep …
I need you to desperately research a few terms,, mcguffin ,, comedy,, piss take ,, punchline and talking all over the good bits ,, 😢,😞🤯🤯🤯🤦💥
It's supposed to be ridiculous to reflect the stupidity that gets the characters into their relatable "hilarious" mishaps,, it's all integral to the vile jokes yr mutha wouldn't like,, except mine still watches it BC there's sweet fa on the box 🎉😂
big balls is an alpha male thing , the male who gets the females of the pack. the silverback
Why have you not reacted to:
• Mr. Bean
• The Derry Girls
• Allo, Allo!
• Mum it ain't half hot
• The Thin Blue Line (also with Rowan Atkinson/Mr Bean/Black Adder)
• The Young Ones
• Are you being served
• Keeping up appearances
• Dad's army
• You rang, m'lord?
• Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps
Why always "Blackadder", "Two Ronnies", "Red Dwarf", "the Inbetwieners" (yes, I wrote wieners on purpose), "Father Ted" etc. etc.
There are more great shows than those.
