    Not sure what kind of car that is but it looks like it was placed there to keep the cattle from stomping in what appears to be a natural spring. The old timers way to ensure the water keeps flowing for livestock.

    There is a red cord going to your Garmin hand held and a red cord to your tablet. Are they connected?
    Wondering if the two were working together.

    • @aMAYSingLife
      @aMAYSingLife  Рік тому +1

      no, thats a USB C power cord for the tablet and it looks like its going to the Garmin, its just routed together down to below my steering wheel where I have a USB C and B plug that charges both.

    What were the main reasons to choose the ecodiesel?

    • @aMAYSingLife
      @aMAYSingLife  Рік тому +1

      Primary reason was total mileage while loaded and kitted. I still avg as kitted about 23mpg overall. a little less off road but not by much. it gets really good at low rpm and so much torque really helps it off road. We carried 5gal of diesel with us on that whole trip and never needed it. likely wont carry extra with me again until we do Baja.
      Life of engine for high miles is also a good reason but it remains to be seen whether I win that one or not. I can say i have almost 80k on it now and it seems like its just broken in. I'm also on the same brakes and just had them checked and they are still good. some of that is due to the type of miles i have done but i think some is also the engine braking support i get from the diesel.
      10k oil changes are a help as well. When you put miles on fast it seems you are constantly needing an oil change when it is every 5k. 10k on oil and 20k on fuel filter (both done myself) make for reasonable costs and more convenience. I dont however like the stupid DEF fluid but something i'm living with. I can say you cant smell diesel at all!! which is nice.
      Thanks for watching!!

      @@geech08 your welcome.. I hope it runs forever at this point because I can't get another one and the plug-in hybrid is useless in current form. All my youtuber friends are avg about 11-13mpg so i dont want any part of that.. I'll stick with my 34" 10.5" tires, 2.5" lift and 23mpg thank you very much lol..

      That's very interesting for you to say that as I never let the music get higher than -12 and most of the time its in the -25 where talking is at -6. I've not had that complaint so far but will certainly keep an eye on it.. Thanks for the comment!! much appreciated.. My parents watch shows like alaskan wilderness shows and stuff like that and I'm not sure if it is the show or if it is their sounds system that causes the music to be so loud.. that could be the case with your setup not sure. But that annoys me too when watching on their tv so maybe thats it? Thank you for watching and enduring the music :).

      @@aMAYSingLife I watch a lot of the UA-cam overlanding videos and noticed on the (Epic family road trip) that we had to skip the whole New Zealand trip because the techno music was so loud it became too annoying and we just gave up. When the trip was over the music seemed to settle back down and it was nice to watch again.
      Another UA-cam video we watch is (Revere overland) his music is always in the sweet spot where you can enjoy the program.
      This seems to be a problem across the board, as a search on google (UA-cam videos background music too loud) seems to confirm this.
      We have an 80 inch sharp with a top of the line Bose sound bar and subwoofer.
      We have the tv speakers set to 0 and muted. Tv speakers are a joke.
      Anyway still love your videos and will continue being a fan.
