Yes they are beauties! A lever action chambered in 35 whelen is the only firearm I truly regret getting rid of! I took several moose with it while I was stationed in Alaska!
Ask a Southpaw in a World of right-handed bolts . Awwhhh but levers are not tack drivers said the Hunter out by the Bean Field . In the Palmetto scrubs & the tangled Tropical fauna of the S. the slim lines & lightweight of levers really shine in the bush. Many of delicious rabbits have fallen to a Marlin 39, plus it's as American as a Shelby Mustang . Happy Sunday & Feliz Año Nuevo, everyone ☕☕ SALUD ¡!
The first firearm I ever owned many years ago, was a small semi automatic for self defense. From there I got hooked on SAA and levers. I have a quite a collection of levers, SAA handguns and old military bolts. I never go on a trip without bringing an assortment of levers and SAA with me. Along with whatever I’m using for self defense that week. Usually a 9mm.
Indeed, we need more Good Western Movies! Thanks Kindly Hickok45 and do Be Careful in the Windy City! Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Lancaster County Pennsylvania
@ You have a great name in a great county David! I do hope the hurricane was kind to you? And I believe 2025 is going to be a great year filled with all kinds of stuff that probably won’t surprise us. A GREAT NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! Life is good! DaveyJO ☕️
I don't mind cleaning them either. In fact, I kind of get a kick out of it, especially if I got one I can take apart and get it back together. Sometimes I struggle with putting them back together just makes me feel better that they're clean in case I need them in a hurry😂😂
Good fine wet Sunday morning Brother Greg and John,,, Just another awesome Sunday with ya and my cup of joe with hazel nut creamer,,,and your fine levergun video here.. Nothing more nostalgic than some lever guns,,saa colt and a stagecoach double...love them all.. Love from SW Ohio,,Germantown,,Brother Neil
If youve heard it once youve hear it 1000 times, but I sure do enjoy listen to you chatting. Hanging out with you is always a fine time. In my opinion the Ruger GP100 looks great in nickle. The .22 is on the top of my most beautiful revolvers! Pythons blued please! Haha. Happy New Years y'all 2025 the future looks bright.
Good mornin' all y'all. Hickok45 . Loving your Sunday shoot out. Especially with Lever Action rifles. When I get back home I'll be taking mine out for a spin.
Good morning from Michigan. I sure like plinking with the pistol caliber rifles. Next week I’ll be watching Sunday Shoot-a-Round from Marco Island, FL. ☀️
I have a 1975 Marlin 336, my parents bought for me new. I want to put a skinner sight on it. My old eyes just dont like open sights anymore. But being retired now it's not in the budget. I guess I'll just let the old guy retire now also!
I am 68 yrs. old and been into firearms all my life. For me the silver ones remind me of the Cowboy/Western movie era. The blue ones remind me of the gangster/detective era. I like both.
I used to take a biannual hunting trip to Canada for those beautiful huge whitetails and caribou but that ended with the current leadership! I will just stay here in Texas and keep my money and guns in my State hunting almost anything I can afford!
I don't know why but I'm a new found fan of 410 pump shotguns, the 590 comes to mind, simplicity at it's finest Hickock45! If I don't see your next video before the new year begins, HAPPY NEW YEARS! From me, my roommate and 4 cats!
Mr 45, I am a m1a/m14 lover! My opinion of full auto was never ment to fire from the shoulder ! In battle moving forward throw in afresh 20 rd mag ,stand up with the rifle at the hip, pull the trigger and mow the brush and enemy down moving forward forcing the enemy to flee. Game
Let's all agree that lever actions are a beauty

The sound of a lever action is a beautiful thing, lever actions and single actions never get old.
Lever action is as American as country music, apple pie. and stock car racing.

In 1968, I made a New Year's resolution to never make another New Year's resolution. So far, I've kept that one.

Me too. Here comes the feedback. lol.
EIGHT girlfriends? NO WAY, have ta be touched in the head ta want that many at one time !! Now, a redheaded one is like eight at once.

One of my favorite movies was High Noon ! Do not forsake me oh my darlin ! & Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven !
Your the reason I enrolled at SDI it’s funny lever action troubleshooting is the assignment this week
Is it true they’re more prone to have issues than other types (like bolt, pump, etc)?
@ I would believe so. Once you rule out operator error. You could have lever problems being how that action is used.
Good Morning you all.
Cup of Coffee and a hitchot video 2nd best thing in the morning. 😊
Good morning y’all life is good Happy new year God bless😇🙏🏼
Haven’t watched your videos for a while, glad to see you’re still kicking! Love from the UK!

For the nickel cerakote coating treatment option, I have an example of it for my Bersa Thunder 380 and it's a beauty on the outside. I love it. 💓

Happy New Year! I guess I fall into the 25% category. I like the nickel look. Shiny is good . lol.
I had a Marlin 1894 in 44 Magnum.
I loaded the 44magnums to rifle specifications.
They would fire at about 1500fps.
It was a Hard Hitting Rifle.
I grew up around my Dad’s gun, a Winchester 30-30 used for deer hunting in PA, back in the 50’s. Always liked lever rifles.
Best gun review ever
Good morning from Dutchess County NY
I just got back from a mountain trip and was shooting a .35 marlin and I love the lever action! Great rifle
Have a Happy New Year Hickok God bless From Kentucky
I like nickel plated guns to carry in the truck. They hold up well to changing temperatures.
I am 68 yrs. old and been into firearms all my life. For me the silver ones remind me of the Cowboy/Western movie era. The blue ones remind me of the gangster/detective era. I like both.
A ❤ for Mr. Hickock
I found the easiest way to clean my mussels loader is the good ole car wash. Warm soapy water high pressure wand😮
Ya cant own anything nice in Canada unfortunately

I used to take a biannual hunting trip to Canada for those beautiful huge whitetails and caribou but that ended with the current leadership! I will just stay here in Texas and keep my money and guns in my State hunting almost anything I can afford!
Change is coming in 2025, we need to keep pushing for our firearm rights, never give up, stay involved, pressure your local politicians!!!
