    That looks awesome.
    I got a 2023 tundra 1794 edition, just purchased the Toyota 3” lift kit and got the 1” spacers to push all four tires out a bit and get it away from front sway bar. Gonna Try the nitto 35x12.5x20 tires on factory wheels with this setup in couple weeks

    I'd like to note that it shouldn't matter if they have installed this kit or not. Genuine Toyota parts, even accessories, have a Flat Rate time. It does not matter how much time it takes them, you pay a flat rate for the install. For example, Toyota use to pay me 2.5hours to install security systems in Camry's. Didn't matter if I did it in 1 hour or 10 hours, I got paid 2.5hr. Customers do not pay straight time on installs just because the dealership is inexperienced at installing them. If a dealer ever tells you that they will start the clock when the tech starts the install and you'll get charged however long it takes, call the Toyota corporate Customer support line to get the recommended time and report the dealer.

    $2400 is a great price if you live in the US. In Canada this kit is $5500 CAD (~$4100 USD) which is insanity. Would never get it for that price. The other crazy part is none of these US retailers will ship the kit to Canada. If anyone knows of a loop hole, please let me know!

    I had Toyota install the Toyota lift kit on my 23 Platinum Hybrid iforce max as soon as it landed. I heard the kit was available so I ordered it right away before the truck arrived to Canada. When you invest so much money into a truck you be foolish to have your warranty voided on the suspension. Yes it’s pricey but so is the truck. I believe Toyota engineered that lift kit perfectly as the Tundra handles exceptionally well on Falken AT3 rubber E Range 33’s on 20” factory wheels. I plan on 35’s in the future as these tires came off my previous Tundra.

    I had the kit installed a couple weeks ago. It rides better than stock. The dealership I bought the truck from wanted $4K to install it. I called a different dealership who referred me to a shop that performs their mods, $900 installed. One odd thing, the brake lines in the kit are the same length as the stock ones. Also, the auto leveling of the headlights are locked with the kit and the kit wants to block out the fog lights.

      Sometimes, the truck feels a little unsure of its footing, a little bouncy compared to trucks with stock tires and suspension. MPG shows 13.5. I'm thinking it might improve in the winter when I don't have to use the air. When I wear these tires out, I will go with something closer a little closer to stock in Nittos for a 22" riim...because I'm tired of the rubbing.

      Good question

    • @fishhead2500
      @fishhead2500 Рік тому +2

      The relicalibration that has to be done is with the sensors. Mainly the pre-collision and cruise control radar sensors. Nothing can be done about the speedometer, but I lifted mine and put the same tires on my TRD wheels and have found the the truck travels at about 1 mph over the displayed speed. This is probably due to the fact that the Falken Wildpeaks that come with the TRD package are 33.x inches, so going to 35's isn't much of a difference in speed readings.

They discovered it would not work with the red lettered aluminum TRD front skid plate without modification (Even though you can see the red Limited in the official Toyota showcasing the lift kit also has the skid plate). The skid plate needs a small bit milled out on each side to clear when bolted to the frame. It seems like a simple fix any machine shop could do; however, I have not yet tried it.

    $480 a piece for Nittos?!!!
    June 2021 I got these exact tires but on TRD Pro 18 inch wheels and they were only $335 a piece. Bidenflation is real folks! This is what happens when you stop drilling for oil. Everything that is made of oil skyrockets in price. Wow!
    Now, for anyone wanting to do this keep in mind your twin turbos will wear out faster. I had a 2013 F-150 Ecoboost prior to my 2021 Tundra, and I had a very similar lift with the exact same tires, and with that 3.31 rear end my mpg dropped like a rock. I went from 16-17 city and 21-22 highway to 11 city and 15 highway. That rear end does not handle big tires well at least on the F-150, but the new Tundra now has the same ratios.
    Bottom line, I had my twin turbos go out at around 153,000 and the price to fix was $5,000+tax. I also had some issues with the turbos at around 80,000 miles with the barrings wearing out and needing to be replaced. This is why I sold the truck. I sold it as-is to Ford and literally walked across the street to Toyota and bought my 2021 TRD Pro.
    With the bigger tires and the extra weight (around 32 lbs more per tire) your turbos will spin spin spin.
    It is one of the reasons I love my 2021 Tundra, because that 4.31 rear end eats up the 35's I have on it now. 12 city and 15-16 highway and I do a lot of highway traveling around 30,000 a year for my job. I already have 52,700'ish miles on my 2021 Tundra.
    So, if you are getting this lift keep these things in mind. I am curious if the IForce MAX will get better mpg with the same lift and tires having all that extra torque.
