My favourite thing about nature is listening to the sounds that the wildlife make - the chirping of birds, rustling of the ground mammals like hedgehogs, the sound of buzzing bees 🐝 😍
I go camping a lot, so spending time with nature always calms me down. I love listening to the crickets at night when I go to sleep. It is very soothing sound. I love to watch all the animals walking by in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up. The quiet sounds they make are amazing. Watching a family of deer grazing is a beautiful site. I love your patterns and your yarn. I want to thank you for your inspiring words every time I see one of your video's. Thank you
I love the rain, the chirping of the birds in the morning and the songs of crickets in the evening or in the afternoon. I also love watching the pigeons fly together in the sky from our rooftop.
This shawl is absolutely stunning in both versions! I love the quiet of being in a field and surrounded by nothing but prairie and trees. I remember one time that I was in this solitude, just listening to nothingness. I heard a noise and turned to it and heard and saw three leaves as they fell to the ground. Another time, I heard nothing but the birds flapping their wings as they flew over. Those memories, because as a city girl, I didn’t know they MADE sound, opened me up to possibilities, unexplained and unexpected, but it was a sound of the future waiting to be discovered.
One of my favorite things of nature is the feeling of grass on my bare feet and sound of rustling leaves while a soft breeze brushes my face. Just glorious.
I love the "quiet" that nature can bring...especially when there's snow on the ground (even though I'm not an outdoor girl and hate being cold, lol). There's too much noise in the world and I love that nature is a calming disconnect. Thanks Chandi and Amy!!
One of the things I love about nature is that there is both timelessness and change in each moment. There are trees, mountains, bodies of water that people have gazed upon for centuries or even millennia and yet, simultaneously those things are different in each moment. Thank you for offering this beautiful pattern and the chance to win the yarn.
Nature provides such a wonderful ever changing scene for us to enjoy. The changing of the seasons, the waves on the beach, the wind, rain, and snow are each beautiful.
I remember then I was young roaming in my grandma’s fruit tree garden and right next to it was an open field with thick tall grass and wild flowers growing on it. Then there was my mother’s garden where I spent most of the summers picking up whatever was ready to snack on. Just paradise. Nature is so beautiful. But then we get caught up in every day busyness and we forget to just look up and see the blue sky above us. Ahhhhh…what beautiful shawl, thank you Amy Mercier for a beautiful design, thank you Chandi for a tutorial, it is so helpful every time. Happy knitting everyone. Have a blessed day!!! ❤
What I like about nature is being able to sit on a bench in our small town park and knit in the summer - enjoying the sounds of the breeze in the trees.
Walking barefoot & grounding myself back to Mother Nature. It's fall here and stepping on the leaves are very soothing to my soul. Hugging a tree can also be so very soothing to my Spirit.... Thank you for sharing 🤗💕
The ever changing yet predictable cycle of the seasons is both comforting and encouraging to me. I try to be mindful of the lessons each one teaches. Autumn means slowing our pace, shedding what is no longer fruitful to make room in our lives; winter is a hunkering down with cozy things to rest and reset our souls and bodies; spring stirs new dreams for which we plant seeds and nourish; and summer shouts GROW AND BLOOM your wonderful self. They also remind me to both enjoy this moment for all it’s worth when things are going well, and take courage when they aren’t-because this too shall pass. 💜
I absolutely love walking through the forest near my house. It's always such a joyful surprise to see what animals and plants are out at different times of the day and year. I always feel so calm and refreshed after my walks, and I'm so grateful to live in such a gorgeous state.
The mountains and hills are so magestic, Birds and animals, forests and meadows, and so much more....Nature is so beautiful and amazing. It makes me appreciative of a wonderful creator who blesses us every day with so much beauty!
The sights and sounds of nature. The sounds of all the many birds in the early morning, the howler monkeys in the trees while on my walks....I just love that!. Nature is absolutely amazing in so many ways!
Nature is so healing. Being outsid makes my troubles and problems seem so small. A bright sunny day is so happy but a wild rain seems to wash the world clean and reminds me of a galloping horse ride.
I enjoy this part of the year because you can feel Mother Nature settling down. The air gets quiet with the expectancy of the long winter’s nap, and the wind that’s blowing is the winds of change.
Whenever I get overwhelmed, or tired, stressed, about some things in life, I turn to nature. And I love how looking at it, seeing the multitudes of colors, textures, sounds and just how everything comes together, remind me that there is still something beautiful and constant in this world. It's like the creator's talking, telling me to calm down and take a time to look beyond the corporate world. And i just smile and simply in awe ❤
I love how nature instantly grounds me and brings me to the present moment. Everything about nature is amazing! I can’t help but observe and admire every plant, animal, insect, the warmth of the sun, the coolness of a breeze, the power of wind, and the beauty of the moon and stars.
I grew up spending a lot of time in the woods and there is something about stepping back and just being surrounded by the smell of the earth, the flutter of leaves, the sound of birds that rejuvinates me. Nature is my battery recharge
This pattern is beautiful! My favorite thing about nature will always be the sound of rain! Nothing better than knitting, reading or taking a nap on a rainy day!
My favourite aspect of nature is that no two days are ever the same. Some days are misty, rainy and silent and the next can be bright, and vibrant. But no matter what, it heals and relaxes both mind and body. Thank you again for another wonderful pattern.
My favorite thing about nature is how I can find a peace within myself when life seems so overwhelming. Just to sit and stare at the sky, or feeling the sun rays over my person or hearing the rain and wind and feeling a sense and presence of a higher power❤. Oh my, what a feeling🙌🏾🙌🏾💕💕
I love the colors of the nature. Leaves changing colors, sunrise painting the sky red, colors of flowers, birds. Oh, and speaking of birds - I do love listening to their singing.
I do enjoy seeing my flowers grow and how the bees and butterflies pollinate everything. And, I enjoy just sitting on my back porch hearing the wind blow my wind chimes.
Watching nature is one of the most healing things I do. The serenity of the trees, the vastness of the sky, the depth of the oceans, the beauty of the flowers, the brightness of the sunshine, the cleansing of the rain that leads to the rejuvenation of life, and the many life lessons to be learned in the animals and their interactions.
Beautiful design! I ride horses and my favorite thing is to trail ride alone, especially in the quiet of early morning. My favorite thing about nature is the smell and sounds that each season brings. Experiencing it on horseback makes you feel really connected to it and it's a freedom unlike anything else.
I love the sound of bird song and how it's different in the morning compared to the evening. The feel of the sun on my face and the beautiful design and colours of flowers, and so many other things! ☀🌞
I'm fascinated by how complex and connected nature is. For example, I watched a program on forest research and trees communicate with each other, nurture their offspring, and manage changes in their environment together as a community. It's easy to forget we are nature too, part of that complexity and connected to everything.
We have woods right outside our door surrounding our property. For the longest time, I didn't take advantage of this availability of nature. Now I love to be outdoors. The sounds of birds and the wind are so peaceful. The feeling of the sun on my face, so calming. I try to knit and crochet outdoors for a bit whenever the weather permits. Thank you for another beautiful pattern!
I love the grounding, centering aspects of being outside. Sounds of water, wind in the trees, the wild animals you get to see - all come together for a soothing, restorative experience that's different every time.
Beautiful shawls! I love everything about nature, I love the sun, and the wildlife. I love to listen to the birds. I love a gentle breeze on a hot day. I love the smell of freshly mown grass. I'm really very thankful for all of nature!
solitude in nature for me has always been the silence. Silence from people noise and only hearing the sounds of nature. The best sounds are an evening at the beach listening to the birds overhead and the waves crashing on the beach. So peaceful and rebalancing.
The thing I love most about nature is it brings me so much peace. When I am feeling stressed,I can just sit under the trees and my stress will evaporate. Even better, just bring one of my knit/ crochet patterns to the work on and I'm in heaven.
One thing I love is being at the beach watching and listening to the waves, so calming. Feeling the sand between your toes and just listening to the various sounds.
Beautiful shawl, the yarn enhances the beauty of the pattern. I love the sound of the fall leaves crunching under foot, as well as the silent stillness of an amazing sunset over the lake.
Being in Nature soothes my Soul. I love walking amongst Redwood trees, hugging them and exchanging loving, healing vibes. I love hearing the Hawks crying out to each other. They are so beautiful when they're soaring through the sky.🌲🍁 Beautiful shawl pattern. I love all the colors. ♥️💚
The thing I love best about nature is...nature. The wind in the grasses. Clouds overhead in all their splendor. Teeny wildflowers peeking out of hidden places. Water rippling over stones. The sounds, the smells. The color. Just all of it.
Every week I think I won't want to make the pattern, and then about 30 seconds in, I'm hooked, lol this is a gorgeous pattern! I love the quietness of nature. Being a quiet person myself, I thoroughly enjoy silence. But the details you feel in the quietness are amazing - breezes, warmth - or cool, bird sounds, scents, still, twinkling scenes.... There are so many amazing things going on in the quietness of nature!
I love the seasonal changes; growing up on the Great Lakes the water had ways of showing changes, from the first cracks in the frozen lake to the tumultuous storms of spring. I will never stop walking barefoot in the sand in all seasons. I miss it so much and look forward to each visit.
We have goats and there is nothing better than spending time with them! I love taking them for walks in the forest and watching them interact with the boulders and underbrush.
What I love most about nature is how it makes me feel. Through every change in nature comes a wonderful feeling that reminds me of how much I am a part of that nature and I change right along with it to start the next great adventure!
The best part about nature is watching all of the wildlife around me. We have rabbits, deer, groundhogs, and turkeys all over. The best part is when there is a new addition to the family and we get to "ooh" and "aah" and take pictures of the babies 😊
I love the smell of nature - a forest after rain, magnolia blooms scenting the breeze... even when you think there is not much nature around, the sense of smell reminds us that we are surrounded by nature!
I live in North Florida in a small country/rural town and really enjoy my weekend mornings sitting on my deck watching and enjoying the morning glow; sounds, sights and feel of the natural world around me. Hearing the birds, watching the cranes on the pond, and occasionally seeing a hummingbird or deer makes the stresses of my professional week unimportant.
I love the changing seasons the most, I think. I try to get outside to walk every day, no matter the weather, just to breathe the air and see what has changed since my last walk. It's new every day!
I love seeing new leaves budding on trees in Spring. I love the way the branches of trees sway and move as a cool breeze blows on a hot summer day, I love the changing colors of leaves in the Fall. I love to see fresh fallen snow that shines and glitters.
Green is my favorite color! 😊 My favorite thing about nature is the peaceful feeling you get when you’re able to leave the hustle and bustle behind and enjoy the moment.
That is a gorgeous shawl. Thank you for sharing. I love the balance, evolution, and continuity of nature. In our mad, mad, mad, mad world, it reminds and comforts me that even though some things change, nature perseveres.
Such a pretty shawl. I live in the desert and a lot of people don't think of the desert when they think of nature but there is so much life that survives with the smallest amount of water. My daughter loves going into the backyard and looking for different types of birds. We even have quails and roadrunners that we get to see sometimes. The most crazy thing I've seen out here are coyotes.
Wow what s lovely pattern. Love it really. My next project is decided. Loved the invigorating Red. Wow scrumptious actually! One feels as if one has burn into an apple. 😊. Thank you. Love you ❤❤
Hello Chandi. I love the colors and sounds of nature. After needing hearing aids for many years, last summer at the age of 70, I got my first pair. One morning I went outside while wearing them and heard all of this noise and after a moment realized it was the birds chirping! It had been many, many years since I had heard them and I just never realized that their magical sounds had stopped for me.
While nature gives respite and peace, it also harbors wild and unpredictable aspects that underlie the beauty. Fascinating. Thank you for this pattern, it's lovely.
Very pretty shawl! I love the peace I find in nature. It’s a simple as that and it is filled with wonder that was created just for us by our loving Father in Heaven. Happy Friday!❤
Nature to me is everything. I feel I am part of nature, living in it and with it and demanding respect in everything I do. I would not exist without it and I am therefore thankful for it every moment 😊
Really pretty design and colors. Being alone in the outdoors helps to remind me that I am a part of this great, vast whole, not separate from it. I appreciate nature wherever I find it, whether on vacation at a stunning location or in a city park. One of my favorite things about being at home is hearing the wind whoosh through the tall grasses along the canal and seeing the undulating patterns of the dancing grass, and seeing the early sun shine through the Spanish moss hanging from the stately live oak, looking like a gold and silver curtain. Ahhh
I ❤️ all the different colors you find in nature. I was looking at the changing leaves of the trees outside one is vibrant oranges and yellows. Every fall I used to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway between Tennessee and North Carolina just to see all the beautiful colors of fall and go to the Apple festival. It's all gone after the hurricane. The roads are all gone washed away and the festival in Unicoi County along with a large portion of houses are all gone. Beautiful memories along with the terrible memories 💔
My favorite things about nature are the sound of rain, the sound of snow falling ( yes a heavy snow can be heard), the feel of sun warming my skin and the amazing smell of spring.
Beautiful shawls!!! There's so many things about nature that I love, but most of all is being in the mountains, surrounded by big trees and a rushing river, while birds are singing joyfully. I feel at home as I feel the river rush through my fingers and squirrels scurry by. The wind sings its own peaceful song and all the stress and tension leaves my body and mind.I wish for you is peace and love. Have a beautiful day!
My favorite thing about nature is the stillness of the morning telling me to not worry about anything. It reminds me to stay calm and connected. I also love the waking twitters from the birds and the rising sun hues of orange and red and pink and blue.
I love your skirt, Chandi! I love walking through nature with my toddlers because they ask the best questions! Mommy, what is a mushroom? Mommy, why is that waterfall small and that waterfall is big? They make me see the world for the first time again :)
My favourite thing about nature is sitting in my yard under the trees, listening to the wind move the leaves as the birds come and go chirping the musical songs.
I love the calm nature gives me. There's less bombardment of the senses than city living. I also love how simultaneously huge and small we are. There are frogs the size of our fingernails, and star systems so far away we'll never see them.
Nature has always had a calming effect on me. I walk most days for 30-60 minutes because I like the peace. The sun feels so good during the day; the moon is beautiful at night. Spending this time outdoors helps adjust to the seasons as they change. A favorite place to walk is in a nearby park where several neighbors also walk so I feel like a member of the community.
I am always so excited for Friday because I get your email and in my head we are sitting at a cafe chatting over coffee or tea or whatever tickles our fancy. Today we are talking about my favorite nature time well I used to have only one but since moving to Northern Idaho I now have two but my absolute favorite nature time is going to the ocean I LOVE to just sit and watch the waves and the tide. It calms me and I feel like some how it reconnects me. Which I is odd because I was raised so far away from the ocean, I think being born in Hawaii my soul wants to be near the ocean. I try to get to the ocean at least once a year, I prefer the Pacific to the Atlantic tho.
I love just the smell of fresh air! Walking outside gives me a reset button on my day. I finish my walk and I can spend the rest of my day with a positive mindset ❤

My favorite thing about nature is that it reminds me how to be calm. Watching the animals who go about without stressing about every little thing reminds me to not sweat the small stuff.
I love the sound of nature, the wind, the birds, everything. It's so calming to see the majesty of the earth and its beauty. Everything about nature is so lovely ❤
My favourite things I live in Scotland and I love in nature are the autumnal colours if the leaves in the fall, reds, ochres etc. The background of a Loch and blue sky. To me yea canny beat it. ❤
Love the changes of the seasons …. Natures…. colors , sounds varies through out the year….bringing cool breezes, warmth… heat …. Dewy mornings or frost … every changing part of life to enjoy and embrace
I like waterfalls! The trashing of it uplifts and calms me.
I love the "quiet" that nature can bring...especially when there's snow on the ground (even though I'm not an outdoor girl and hate being cold, lol). There's too much noise in the world and I love that nature is a calming disconnect. Thanks Chandi and Amy!!

What a beautiful sentiment 🧡
Nature provides such a wonderful ever changing scene for us to enjoy. The changing of the seasons, the waves on the beach, the wind, rain, and snow are each beautiful.
I simply love the crunching of the fallen leaves on the ground!
I love the sound of the waves lapping at the seashore, it is soothing and calming.

I like pumpkins! They're so plump and reminds me of the harvesting season.
The sights and sounds of nature. The sounds of all the many birds in the early morning, the howler monkeys in the trees while on my walks....I just love that!. Nature is absolutely amazing in so many ways!
For me nature is a recharger, as being out gives me so much energy. The smell out there, the fantastic colours, the diversity is a pure power bank.
Nature is so healing. Being outsid makes my troubles and problems seem so small. A bright sunny day is so happy but a wild rain seems to wash the world clean and reminds me of a galloping horse ride.

I enjoy just being in my back yard with my fur babies watching the squirrels teasing the babies, the butterflies and birds

I love the colors of the nature. Leaves changing colors, sunrise painting the sky red, colors of flowers, birds. Oh, and speaking of birds - I do love listening to their singing.
I absolutely love how random nature is. Every leaf and snowflake that falls is like no other that has fallen before or will fall after.
I do enjoy seeing my flowers grow and how the bees and butterflies pollinate everything. And, I enjoy just sitting on my back porch hearing the wind blow my wind chimes.

I love the seasonal changes; growing up on the Great Lakes the water had ways of showing changes, from the first cracks in the frozen lake to the tumultuous storms of spring. I will never stop walking barefoot in the sand in all seasons. I miss it so much and look forward to each visit.
Green is my favorite color but my favorite thing about nature is the amazing colors that happen during fall in NY. It’s my favorite ❤️
I love the dirt.....the way seeds sprout in the dirt....the dirt is a medium for life.

Very pretty shawl! I love the peace I find in nature. It’s a simple as that and it is filled with wonder that was created just for us by our loving Father in Heaven. Happy Friday!❤
What I love is the varieties not only in form but colors shows us how much we are loved by our creator.
Nature to me is everything. I feel I am part of nature, living in it and with it and demanding respect in everything I do. I would not exist without it and I am therefore thankful for it every moment 😊
I love how the crickets chitter amongst the trees at night
I must say that the sound of the wind in the trees is uniquely calming to me! And I do LOVE everything about birds in nature…they bring such joy!
💚💚💚
My favorite things about nature are the sound of rain, the sound of snow falling ( yes a heavy snow can be heard), the feel of sun warming my skin and the amazing smell of spring.
Wow, what gorgeous yarn! Beautiful ❤
I love that! 💚
💕💕💕
I love walks around the lake in the morning, it’s a beautiful way to start the day.
It looks amazing and the color are to go to heaven
You have created such a beautiful shawl ! I am a gardener that work in nature all fall, summer and spring. I love having my hands in the earth.
I love just the smell of fresh air! Walking outside gives me a reset button on my day. I finish my walk and I can spend the rest of my day with a positive mindset ❤
I love the changing colors of the leaves.

I love the sense of pace and calm I get when I walk out in the woods or work in my garden.
I love having my coffee in the morning & listening to & watching the birds. We have 2 acres & at times have seen bunnies & deer. I love being outdoors
