- I got in a 2000 Ski-Doo Formula Deluxe 500 with a whole slue of issues, one of which was a broken recoil rope. If you plan on restringing a recoil on one of these I recommend watching this first so you know what you're getting in to!

Great video!! I always end up slipping and the plastic piece comes completely undone so I have to rewind it a million times! Lol

How many turns did you do around the white plastic piece and the coil??
I don’t remember. I don’t like memorizing a number. That’s why I do it this way
Can't you wind it up clamp it put new rope in unwind it instead of taking it apart?
You can if you can see the knot that secures the rope to the spring loaded plastic piece. I had to tear this apart in order to get to the wedge to anchor the rope.
