    Benton Falls is located near the Ocoee and Reliance, TN. I took the 2022 polygon siskiu T8 with me and rode up Clemmer to the waterfall where I took some much needed rest. Clemmer is about 4.4 miles long and on trail forks is about 1,500 feet of elevation gain while my strava had it at 1,000 feet. It's rated a green trail but I would consider the trail a green with blue rated features because of the rocky terrain. Mountain biking downhill on Clemmer is really fun and averaged about 25 MPH.
    The Polygon Siskiu T8 was a BEAST out here for it's first solid ride. Climbed really well and soaked up the rough downhill perfectly! The tire and handlebar upgrades were amazing, both with comfort and allowing me to drop over 3 lbs on the bike.

    One of the better on-trail demos of the T8. So much better than someone going over the specs with the bike sitting against a tree, in a garage, or the worst scrolling/clicking through web pages. Looks like a great biking destination, wonderful, wooded East Coast trail riding.

    I’ve had the T7 for just at a month now and I am really impressed so far. The only thing I have done to it is setup tubeless. Luckily mine came with the Schwalbe Tires. I wanted a T8 but the backorder wait was twice as long as the T7. Honestly the T7 specs are just fine. With the money saved, I will upgrade the fork in time, but the Recon fork it comes with has been fine. The drivetrain is bulletproof. Shimano Deore is a great Drivetrain.

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider  3 роки тому +1

      Yea I understand what you mean. Sometimes getting the cheaper build and using the money to upgrade/change specific parts you care about can be better. The fox rhythm fork is the base model fork from fox (still a very good fork) but some still want to upgrade it to higher fox fork or DVO or something... Be better to buy the T7 for less money and upgrade the parts you want with extra money. I am loving the T8 and over time I'll continue to make upgrades to bring the weight down. The T8 and T7 are such versatile bikes they make every trail a blast to ride on.

      @@MTBTrailRider I agree, I bought a T7 and bought a Pike Ultimate for it. The T8 still seems like a better deal, and the Fox 34 Rhythm is much better than the RS Recon, but the rhythm is still not a 'high end' fork, so you end up paying more in the long run if you want a premium line fork (RS ultimate / FOX factory). That said, the T8 still has a better drivetrain, probably a better shock, and slightly improved brakes, which is great for the extra $500. Also, considering I just started mountain biking, the 34 rhythm is probably more than good enough for me. I probably wouldn't have upgraded it if I bought a T8, but it seemed to make sense to replace the recon.

    • @MTBTrailRider
      @MTBTrailRider  2 роки тому

      Lance, unfortunately, they do not ship to Hawaii right now. They provide free shipping on their bikes to the lower 48 and the US warehouse is in California. The work around would be if you know someone outside Hawaii to have the bike shipped to (which is free) then have them personally ship the bike to you which you would have to pay obviously. Using bike flights it would cost about $200 to ship to Hawaii which includes protection up to $2,000. With the value you’re getting it might be worth spending $200 in shipping but the hassle may not be worth it. Anyways... hope this helped!

      Thank you for following along. I am an affiliate but when they put in my “order” it gets added to the list of orders to fulfill just like anyone else. Do you recall the expected ship date when you made the pre order? My bike arrived just a few days before the expected SHIP date. But the expected ship date was about 30-40 days from when they placed my order. To add to the mystery... I didn’t end up getting a shipment notification when it was shipped. Haha but I do have the fedex app that notifies me when I have shipments in process to my home and that’s how I found out. You could always send bikes online an email to inquire about your order and say that you don’t recall when the expected ship date was and that you’d like to see where in the process your shipment is...

The T8 has a much lower profile allowing me to get my seat completely out of the way when Im descending. I like the geo on the T8 more too.. with the head angle and longer wheel base, just feels good descending. I noticed that trail bikes are starting to take on the "enduro" feel from a couple years ago. Also, this is minor, but I hated not being able to carry water bottle on my N7 frame. Theres no place for water bottle cage. :/
