Today we're taking out the new Polygon Bikes Siskiu T8 for it's maiden voyage. I've never been more impressed with an all new bike that I have this one. It tractors up climbs, and is a very comfortable bike to push hard headed downhill. Here are my initial thoughts on this new purple trail eater!

I'm Getting the T7 today!!!! i cant wait first MT bike ive ever had!
I have the T7, very good bike!
Nooo marker man u didnt go throught the entry level hardtail rite of passage
@@gabebixby4228 if you have the money a trail bike doesnt hurt if you know what you are going to ride
@@Narayan_Patki truuuuu
Sold my t7..it was a good bike though but i wanted more juice
Did anybody else notice the two deer running through the woods at 1:45?👀🦌
Multi use trails 😂
Good eye
saw that too
Nice!
lol i had to slow it down
I’ve got a 2021 Polygon Siskiu D7, and the reactions you had was exactly how I reacted to mine. The D7, for people who don’t know, is the bike below the T7. I originally thought the Shimano mt200 brakes weren’t gonna be enough, that the geometry was gonna be a little off, since it’s kind of a long bike, and that the tires weren’t gonna be enough, since they’re 2.25s, but turns out I was completely wrong. The brakes beaded in extremely fast, the tires were super grippy, almost throwing me off the bike in corners, and the geometry felt amazing, for me being 5’7. It felt like a rocketship in corners and felt super fast and responsive on straights and technical stuff. I’m very pleased, and for the bike being $1800, nothing competes with it. It is by far a gem, for how amazing of a bike it is, and at its price point.
Its ight
for 400 more i'd reccomend anybody to just grab the T7
I bet Polygon was happy after seeing you absolutely shred this thing. Nice riding.
Just got a used 2021 T8(black/purple) with tubeless tires, spank bar, and 4 fork inserts for $1400.Guy was selling it for $2200 and went down after offer! Can't wait to rip her!
Was waiting for you to try out another polygon since you are sponsored by them! So glad you are trying this one!!
Those trails look like a good time. I pre ordered my T8 back in October and it will finally deliver this week and you've somehow made the excitement levels so much higher.
The only reason I hesitate to buy this is I have read a few complaints from some owners of this Polygon Siskiu T8 that their parts came as generic brand rather than the high end one such as cheap tires and a generic brand drivetrain but not the Shimano SLX as advertised.
I have the 2020 T8 30th Aniversary, love it
One thing I'll say is that bike is very quiet! It's always fun to ride a poppy bike. Glad you are stoked.
Beacon hill, right on!
Who else (pre)ordered a T8 after watching this? I had been eyeing one up for a while, but this vid totally made up my mind, haha. thanks!
Mines arriving on 26th of April 😜
Aw man those ending shots bring me back to the old Capra AL...
Won't lie..I miss that particular bike 😭
I just got my 21 T8. It's sick!
Hi! How tall are you and what frame size did you choose?
@@romanb3309 5'8" med 27.5
@@hitary1 Thanks! With the height of 5'10" I guess I should pick a large one
@@romanb3309 depends on what ride feel you want. I prefer smaller and playful. I know guys 5'10" on medium with longer stem
I ordered this 2 weeks ago when pre-orders became available. Super stoked to get it... in like 2.5 months lol.
End April delivery? 26th I hope it's on time ⌚ 😂
Nice footage showing its capabilities. Makes me love T8 that much more! Also makes me want to move.
I think I found my dream bike...... those colors are just so nice
Love the looks, and not to be a prick, but I'm 90% that paint job is because of me. I painted my bike colorshift about 1/1.5 years ago and It was very rare back then, and no factory made it, now I see everyone and every brand make
colorshift bikes. I can 100% guarantee everyone that's into bikes has seen mine, I own the nordic colorshift 2019 commencal absolut.
Sweet. Been wondering about that T8. Looks super fun. That purple frame 💜
My friend got the d7 recently looks sick
That's it, I'm getting one!!!
I had such a bad experience with tektro brakes. They were so soft just when I got my bike and when I tried to bleed them I realised that they were filled all the way to the top (so there was nothing to bleed) after that they were even softer and I had an awful time those two times when I went to the bikepark cause there was literally no breaking power... and to top it all off, when I opened that „bleeding screw“ for the very first time the o-ring ripped apart , and it was so small I didn’t have a spare one. So -just for one ride- i sealed it with Teflon tape, which worked surprisingly good -quick lifehack there ;)
But after that I immediately purchased shimano xt’s. And I am so happy with that desicion .
The bike in the snow makes the B-role even better!
Nice. I got mine about 1 month ago. Haven't really been out much due to the weather, but I'm already for next year. I think this is the best value out there and it looks cool AF. Subbed for another T8 rider
She sure runs smooth and quiet.
Fantastic riding!. Also, those trails look absolutely amazing 😍
Trail bikes really are the most fun
I'm going preorder one. Love the geometry on the bike and paint job.
My new Dream Bike, as of about 4 months ago. A lot of bike for the price.
Damn, you guys have a hardcore park there! and you just absolutely sent it on everything. You can definitely tell you're used to beefier bikes , lol :)
And it can carry a bottle 👌
Its been 3 years since I've had one on my regular bike. So nice!
Very small bottle
I got a full sized one in there 👍
@@TheShredist my brother and I are really thinking of getting this bike. Where did you get this bike cause we are looking on bikes online.com and this bike is listed at $2500. Just checking if this is the best place to buy it
@@damienbarton6597 it is, they're the exclusive dealer for Polygon in the US. 👍
just ordered my T8, can't wait!!!
Love my n7! Looking forward to more of y'alls videos
Such a good looking bike! I actually bought a 2020 T8, but I hated the reach, it was way too short for me, so I returned it under their 14 day policy. If I had known they were going to redesign it, I probably would’ve waited for this model! Wish I could try a rip on one.
I pre ordered a siskui N9 and I am super excited! Your video was very helpful. Have fun on the new t8.
Siskiu not siskui
Love my 2021 T8. Put 2 spacers in it, if I was doing jumps it can take 6.
I'm going to get a 50mm stem as I'm the top end of the medium range at 5'9". Swapped saddles and grips.
Love the bike it climbs so so well. It really trucks over everything with the 29 tires I have tubeless. Super plush for rocks and roots if that's the setup you want. Brakes are great, slx is awesome. Yeah it's a tad heavy but it doesn't feel that way on the trail.
Did you get a large or medium?I'm same height as you.
@@ibby81ae medium I could have got a large too
@@tunaman4u2 how does the medium feel? I'm thinking about getting large 🤔
@@ibby81ae I'd go large if I were to do it again.
@@tunaman4u2 thanks Mike.
Woww Cool I Just get this bike size S (small) yesterday .. now on the way ... hope this bike just good like this video
How tall are you?
Are you comfortable using size s?
I am 165cm yes with this Size S for me comfortable and i change the stem with Raceface Affect 50mm lenght its good for climbing
@@jimmyliu4886 thanks! Great help
Does 29er fit on small frame?
@@upnext8462 29er only available in Size M and L no Size Small
Awsome video I am so inspired by you
Looks like a real nice and capable trail bike. Nice shredding to really brake it in.
Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting one new. If you ever see another one out a Beacon in a few months, it'll probably be me haha.
Great video and you rode the hell out of that thing! Just ordered T8 last week and stoked to ride it. Wondering if I’ll need volume spacers on the shocks. I’m 6-6 225#. Definitely impressed with the capabilities of the bike in your video. I’ll have to watch more
Definitely invest in some spacers, makes all the difference!
Can we get a short comparison video of the two you have now? Also, winter isn't coming very hard yet, I can still see green grass in my yard in Dalton. Although it's trying to get covered up.
this video just convinced me that i should get it
Waiting for mine to arrive
That tektro brakes got some power
These trails look amazing!
Great video man, too bad the bike is out of stock :) looking to add a trail bike to the list
I've been debating getting a polygon, thanks for the review!
Great video! Any chance of a full review of the t8 coming soon? I’ve already seen this one about 10x 😅
I’m convinced geometry trumps travel. A well designed (enduro-style) bike with 100-120mm would be a lot of fun!
Waiting on it to come back in stock
The 34 is soo flexy
Great vid. I was gonna ask about the climbing. You seemed happy with it. Would you do all day epic rides on this 👍
100%! Bike is a really nice climber, feels lighter than the scale says
Have the T7, but swapped the fork for a used Fox 34 Rhythm... Its basically a T7.5 now. My thoughts: The fox34 can definitely use a few tokens to get dialed on anything but really light riders. I have a less favorable opinion of the Tektro Brakes. I find that while they have enough total grab, they require a LOT of of effort at the lever to sustain it, which is nice modulation on fast/flow, but becomes tiresome on long/steep descents. Minor quibble: Polygon uses a Shimano "Resin Pad only" rotor on these, but the Tektro Orions come with metallic pads. AFAIK this will only make the rotors wear prematurely, but won't cause performance issues.
Im 64kilos and i think the 34 is gonna be good at least for a little bit
Just finally noticed the T8 was back in stock after a year and quickly ordered the purple machine! Sorry local bike shops. I waited and I waited.
In what size ?!
@@alexanderbarris6154 Large. I’m 6’3” but I’d rather not maneuver switchbacks in an XL bike. We’ll see…
@@hardtaillife4071 also ordered downsize, in 5 10’ but ordered a Medium instead of Large
@@alexanderbarris6154 update on said T8: bikes online had to email me with bad news. Yes. That inventory mistake no one wants to hear. So…I got a refund.
Nice riding.
Nice video.. Is it good on tight turns too with the large 29" wheeles. I was going back and forth 27.5 or 29.
Full review plis 👌👌👌👌🧏
Soon! 🤘
This bike is under REALLY heavy consideration for me right now. Pretty much exactly what I’m looking for. Nimble and good in the air but can still climb well.
With some suspension tweaking, for the money I'm not sure you could get a better package. You just have to catch them right when they come back in stock lol
@@TheShredist I’m a faffer and fiddler. I screw with, tweak, tune, and replace so much anyway, so that doesn’t deter any way.
Here’s my big question. Is it available in anything besides purple? 😂
@@fall_risk_mtb T7 has a different coloured frame but the specks are lower than the T8. Frame is the same tho.
@@pregardt little more budget friendly too. I’ll probably end up replacing 2/3’s of the components either way. Thanks for the tip!
There is SNI sticker .. standar nasional indonesia 😀
I almost got this bike then decided to get the vitus mythique vrx instead. While I love my Mythique, this video is making me question my decision 🤔.
Hey I know this comment is 6 months old... but I'm torn between the VRX and T8. Do you still like the VRX?
@@Trevorj333 love it. It’s a great bike right out the box and the 2021 with the shimano group set is even better IMO.
Just had my D6 stolen so only right I upgrade to the T8 haha!
Oke lets shopping 👍🏿
They should have went with the fox 36
GoPro does no justice to how steep that wood ramp is
Its a doozy the first time you ever try and clear it lol
Could you do a bike check for the wife as well? My gf is interested lol
lol I’m getting this for my birthday
What is the name of this trail system? Would love to ride here next time I am out that way!
Hi shredist, I would greatly appreciate your advice when purchasing my first full-suspension bike. I'm watching to buy the Siskiu N9 or Siskiu T8, but I can't really see the advantages of the N9 over the T8 by detaching the suspension. I don't plan to go over big jumps right now (more than 3 feet for me), and I saw in your videos that you ride both bikes, for that you can get a good idea of both bikes.
I will buy this bike..
Try out the trid! I think you’ll like it 😀
Would you recommend this or the n9 for a downhill trail/jumper bike nice video
Would you choose the T8 over the N9? I was thinking N9 but now I'm not sure after seeing you shred the T8! Haha
I like to watch bike vlogs but i dont have a bike
Seems like they've done something about that standover?
Did you make some adjustment to mute the sound of the cables, it sounds quite quiet
What size Siskiu T8 did you get for your 6’ height?
Large, and its perfect!
What trail system is this? Looks gorgeous. Planning a trip to Priest lake next summer and would love to check it out
Beacon Hill/Camp Sekani
@@TheShredist Thanks, didnt realize that was even there! Will have to stop on my next trip that direction
Trail definitely, I wonder how anyone would consider this enduro or AM...
You have helped me decide which bike I want. Is the bike in the video a 27.5 wheel or 29?
29er. Size medium you have the choice of either, kind of wish I had the choice of a 27.5, would have been super fun!
Whats your water bottle volume? Looks it fit nicely.
Awesome
27.5" medium frame or large 29" ?
Did you notice any excessive wiring or creaking sounds?
Which one is better N9 or T8? Which one would you recommend? I'm looking to buy one right now. Thanks in advance. Just subscribed. :)
Depends completely on the style of riding you do. N9 can handle a lot more abuse like at the bike park, and the T8 climbs better and is more playful for trail riding 👍
is this 29er? did you choose M? thanks for the vid
And it can hold a bottle!!
I can t get it from romania and from uk and i want to buy one of this, can someone pls help me with some info?
Thanks for doing this. I’m seriously considering this bike. How it does on the long fire road climbs?
Sits and spins like a champ!
@@TheShredist thanks. Im looking forward for your long term ride review on this. Until then, stay safe & keep shreddin’ 🤙
I think I'm having a bit of an issue with the dropper on this bike. If you press the lever it doesn't go down immediately, it kinda requires an initial push to start traveling down. Basically I can press the lever and still be sitting on the saddle without going down. Also noticed when pushing straight down with the hand it is the same, very hard at the beginning of the stroke, but it slides down much smoother if you press diagonally (parallel to the seat tube). The seat clamp isn't overtightened, the cable is okay - no sticking. Does anyone have the same kind of problems?
Sweet~
This bike support 160mm fork travel
Looks super fun! Where in north Idaho is this?
Its about 20 minutes west of CDA in Spokane, Wa
@@TheShredist beacon hill? I’m from Post Falls but have not lived there since I started riding. I’d love to know some good spots to ride for when I’m able to visit!
Can u make a comparison bet N9 n T8?
I must have missed it... what size wheels did you go with, 27.5 or 29?
Good morning sir what size bike do you ride thank you
Wowww
How is the 34? Do you notice it flexing? Great rewiew tho!
A bit when pushed hard, will probably upgrade in time but for now its doing just fine. 👍
Damit, the bike I ordered has the 34 on it, was hoping for a no :D
But as you are riding harder then I do, maybe I will not mind :D
I tend to find a lot of things people have issues with (like the 34 flexing) you have to take with a grain of salt. I really didn't find the 34 all that bad. If you're jumping at all, buy a couple $3 spacers and then have fun on it! Its a perfectly capable fork, its just more a mid range tier component.
Thanks a lot and great to hear! Can't wait for my new bike :D May I ask if you will be putting a dvo fork on this bike as well, in case you upgrade the fork? :D
@@ewtcizs1101 I can't say it hasn't been on my mind lol
