They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing hard rock with a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 19-22 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. This is a fast paced song. Glad you liked it off the bat. Since most people find it different than their more popular songs, it was overwhelming and too chaotic to some. However, after a few listen on repeat you are able to comprehend and appreciate this masterpiece. Just a lot going on in this song. All the instruments are going so fast. It's very technical. Great reaction and good choice to start the new year.

You are probably getting used to the English-Japanese mix therefore making it more noticeable.
The subtitles probably make it more noticeable too. Saiki has such a thick accent it can be difficult to pick out the English anyway.
I think this is true! Also I think Band Maid don’t particularly emphasise the English words in the way other bands too so it just kinda blends in.
