Taking the tailgate off of 2020 Ford F-350 Superduty.

I have almost identical truck. The tailgate is heavy so I find it’s a two person job to remove and install. Also you can’t lower tailgate if the wiring harness is disconnected if you have the automatic tailgate feature (make sure tailgate is lowered before disconnecting wiring). Thanks great video!

Looks like some annoying gnats we’re photo bombing you. The tailgate hinge set up looked similar to my old truck.
Yeah I think it's a draw mosquitoes or gnats. Can't stand either ok the horse flies too. Pretty simple setup.
Hello do you know by any chance which connector is for what? I also have the same 12 pin and 6 pin but i dont know which is used for what. Is 12pin for camera? I have a 2019 f350 lariat btw. Hope to hear back from ya. Thanks
I'm not sure what each connection is. I unplug both to get tailgate off. Then put 2 caps over them when unplugged to keep debris out. I pull tailgate off a few times a year for loading my truck camper. I wish there was a better snap or latching mechanism for the plugs

Removing the tailgate itself is pretty simple. The hard part is fishing that wiring harness up through that tiny hole that Ford has Provided is a pain in the a ass. Mine has 4 plugs of different sizes that makes this not very fun😩

Do you know what each connectors function is for? I have a 2022 with 4 or 5 connectors on it. I am going to use the camera connector for a remote camera on my camera.
Tailgate is on for winter. I know when you disconnect the main plug you lose camera.
Almost the sam as my ram tailgate removal, I do believe ram has a better wiring design, no need to get under the truck, Take care my Friends! 🚜🪵👍🏼🇱🇷

Is it possible to keep tailgate on when load camper?
Not with this model. I think lance 850 is one you can do that. We love this setup.

I always remove my tailgate when I go pick up one tone pallets of wood pellets for the heating season. It makes it easier for the fork lift driver at Tractor Supply to load them. I haven't had to remove it yet on my 2021 F350, now I know. Thanks brother!

Old saying yes any day above ground is a good one, You may want to put a plug in the hole just to keep it clean depends where you are going.

Question. Did you remove the tailgate to install the super duty lettering?
No. The reason the tailgate was removed is to haul our truck camper. The truck camper has overhang. We have some videos with the truck hanger. Thanks for watching have a great day

Sorry. My question was poorly worded. I saw that you had put super duty graphics on your tailgate. I was wondering if you took your tailgate off to do that too? The company that makes them recommend it.

Camping Alan, we are pretty excited. We are going to do some short weekend camping trips so we are ready for the September long haul. But no Buffalo plaid. Southwestern is what Autum wants. But we will see 😂

Cool I love the bed liner! Not as easy to get as the use to be.
That's a spray in line, then huskey rubber Matt liner. To help keep camper from sliding.

I can’t get the BX connectors unplugged.
They can be tight. I wish they had a little simpler design
