So true. The smile at the end of the wet shave says it all. Personally, I like the wet shave as well but love the feeling and the look the following day. But I shave first with the grain then against. Bald guys rock!
Hey baldcafe, remember me? Just wanna tell you that i have shaved my head few days ago. Thanks to your channel, it makes it an easy decision for me, i dont feel alone doing this. I honestly feel better now. You really help the world man, atleast mine.
That smile on your face came out so natural and contagious. I think it really represents the whole mindset behind Baldcafe. Keep it up, Harry: keep spreading this message! Big ups from Lombardy. Peace!
My hair has been going since I was 20. Finally 24 and this channel did so much to help me make the jump. Finally took it off. At a 0.5 right now and will probably go the whole way later. I think it looks WAY better than before, I can't believe I was so worried for so long. Thank you so much for what you do.
As a newly bald bloke, there's not many feelings as fulfilling than cleanly shaving your head. Feels unreal and confidence is instantly high. If you're nervous, just go for it. I prided myself on my hair, but when I shaved it I loved it. Everyone around me also told me it was as if I'd always been bald! Best decision I've made!
Your channel gave me another perspective about baldness, I discovered that I was balding in May and felt scared at first, cause I’m only 22 and I had a long curly hair. So I took the plunge and shaved my head after watching your vídeos and really liked my style. Just wanna to thank you, you are helping a lot of dudes out there!
HR9522 Hey mate, for me the best moment was when I discovered that my hair was thinning, I just went radical and shove it off with a scissor and a razor because I didn’t wanted to see my hair getting worse and worse
Well done, brother! I’ve been shaving my head for 13-15 years now and love the look with a beard of any sort. It’s definitely not for everyone, but it’s clearly home base for some of us.
This video inspired me to shave off my beard for the first time after 9 years of being bald and bearded. I had forgotten what my own face looked like, and had really started to think the beard was the only thing holding my look together. I was dependent on it and horrified imagining myself without it. But after watching this video I put eye of the tiger from Rocky on, and while listening I shaved it all off. Bye bye beard. And now I can see my face again after all these years. It's so strange, I'm trying to adjust. But I feel...liberated. I'm still me and I feel free. Thank you for the inspiration. It's getting emotion in here haha
Harry, you are one of the bravest people I’ve seen, really inspirational. I did the 0 guard a week ago and I feel much better than before, thank you Man.
Shaved my head for the first time last week, I’m 35. Always worried about it but I feel so much better now. Confidence came with it and I love it. Cheers mate
From when I was 19 till 22 I used to rock the grade 1/grade 2 buzzcut with a fade and a line up. I got a haircut every 2/3 weeks to maintain it. It looked nice but as my hair started to thin more and more it got to the point I needed to get a haircut every 5 days to maintain that look. And let me tell you, it was not worth it. I just shaved it all off at the start of this year and havent looked back since. It is way more of a bold and masculine look. It really makes a statement when you walk in a room. This also got me into the wet shaving hobby and I love it. I just turned 23 and I have finally completed the hairloss journey. Thank you so much for all the tips and tricks and making this topic a normality. Much love to all of you.
This video perfectly encapsulates the paradox, that once you're bald, the less hair you have, the younger and better you look. And those clippers are impressive once you zero-guard it. I've been meaning to get a new one, this might be it.
I watched a few of your videos and decided to take mine back to a zero. I’m in my mid 40’s but started thinning 5-6 years ago. I’m a metal / punk kind of guy so losing my hair was a big deal as it was a major part of my look. I also have dark hair and very white skin so it was a nightmare to hide. I’d been living with the patchiness for too long so last January I shaved it down to a 1. It was a bit of a shock and took me quite a few months to adjust, but as you’ve rightly pointed out, no-one else really gave a sh*t, some people didn’t even notice I’d shaved my head! I did that thing you do and grew it back for a month and it looked crap. When I saw your video this morning, it inspired me to go back to a zero. Losing your hair sucks, but you’re giving men such confidence and the benefit of your experience to not let it burden your life. Thanks. You’re doing a brilliant job and you’re advice has really helped.
Awesome video! I think this will really help people decide what look to go for. I myself shaved my head in April to a grade 3, wasn't overly happy with it and grew it out. Shaved it using zero guard a couple of weeks ago and the difference it makes is crazy! It looks so much better and as you say it makes other features pop! I have been watching your videos for over a year now and they have helped so much! So a big thank you from me! and if anyone is still on the fence about shaving their head.. just do it :)
I'm 29 and my hair situation is incredibly similar to yours, I'm maybe doing a little better on the crown and a little worse on the front. Seeing you do this gave me the confidence I needed to go for my first big shave. Thank you and stay awesome, man!
I just started keeping mine consistently short. My clippers include a 1/2 guard. My wife doesn't like the completely bald look on me, but I figure after a few months of weekly buzzing it with the 1/2 guard, I can work my way to her being comfortable with the 0 guard.
Fucking loved this. The immediate and radiant confidence that came once you finished the wet shave made ME feel good just watching it. Love all the vids on this channel but this might be my favorite so far
I Shaved My Balding Head In May. BEST DECISION EVER. I Can Honestly Say Thank You For Your Channel. Which Helps Alot Of People Gain The Courage To Shave It.
I'm not even bald, why am i watching this? Btw, if you are or getting bald, i hope you don't feel socially unaccepted. Bald people can still look badass like this dude 🤟🏼
Awesome video idea! It's not often you see people compare different buzz/shave styles like this. I think my favorites are the 1-guard and the full razor shave. Honestly your positive reaction at the end to being "clean" again made me really happy, and I think that actually made it look even better, compared to the stone-cold seriousness of the others. Goes to show how much your confidence and attitude towards yourself can affect how others perceive you! Keep doing what you do and thanks for putting yourself out there for us folically-challenged-folk.
Hey Harry! Great video there, you just made me relive the feeling I had when I shaved my head for the first time 2 months ago. I felt bad about my hairline receding from the temples, it was not that bad but it made me feel down and my confidence was just at its lowest. Since I shaved it, I haven't looked back a single time, I feel SO much better now and all your videos just gave me the courage to do it in the first place. I could genuinely feel the relief at the end when you got back to shaved head. Thanks for everything mate 🙌
ive been shaving my head,to #1, for a few years, simple wash & GO.But your video is the first one to clearerly show the difference between the lenghts of grades.cheers mate 👍
I've rocked a shaved head for several years throughout my life, and, now have long hair... I've noticed that people have something negative to say either way. I feel as though society wants us all to look the same, so I advise everyone to do what suits you. Whatever hair style you decide to go with, wear it with confidence, and others will fall in line. -- especially when it comes to strangers, they have no idea idea you just shaved your head for the first time. 😁
this video basically sums me up. from grade 9 to 3 to 1 to no guard. after that i switched to mach 3 and now im using a double edge safety razor. honestly this thing is the best. im not balding by any means but i love the feeling!
Such a happy face once you finished shaving 😁 I started using the RX5 after you reviewed it. Love it. I rarely use the razor as I have a few skin tags in the head. Keep up the nice videos 👍🏼
What an awesome end to a really great experiment, Harry. So amazing to see how happy you looked after returning to your version of normal. You could sense how much progressively happier you were looking the less hair was on your head! Welcome back brother 👏🏽
Always an inspiration, the confidence when you’ve got back to bald , can tell in your face , same feeling I get when I do the same . Much respect keep on doing you man 🤟🏻🤟🏻
honestly, i even like the look of the 2 here, but it's basically better the shorter it is imo either way, this channel helped me get over worrying about losing my hair and i'm so grateful for that... i do a 1 guard starting today and i'm happy with that for now
Just bought mine a week ago ,used it 3 times so far every two days, update had it two weeks now and already it’s stopped holding charge and not charging so not coming on ,given it back for an exchange to amazon
How do you prevent these types of electric shavers from eating the back of your neck? Everywhere else on my head no problem but at the very back of my neck I get pretty bad razor burn/cuts. Tried dry and with a shave butter.
1 guard and below was on the money. obviously looked cleaner as it came down more, but i like the stubbly look too, gives a bit more colour on the head.
Without a doubt 2 or 1 are the best, much better than the 0. Some hair creates framing which looks good.People might make the case that the horseshoe should be shaved to a 0 but you can still see it exists, so if you have some hair up top shave a 1 or 2. Also whilst I don't disagree about the 0 highlighting other features, it does highlight head shape, which a 1 or 2 doesn't.
As soon as my beard is grown back in mine is coming off. Did it once in lockdown to a No.2 and never dared go further. Just made my mind up for me. Cool.
They all look good. Kinda nice to switch it up every once in awhile. I’ve seen you rock the bald 0-1 fade a few times and I’ve been messing with that recently. Cheers!
So good to see someone confident and happy about having no hair. I’m currently losing mine at 21 and can’t quite seem to get to grips with it at the moment, not a nice thing.
The wet shave is obv the cleanest look but the 1 didn’t look bad at all. Like fr looked pretty good. You can def have the confidence now that letting the hair grow out a couple days extra is not gonna look bad. Great vid
Your channel has helped me grow the balls to go full shave after a hair transplant and continued thinning over the last couple of years. I'm grateful, thank you!🙂
I am depressed after I've gone bald. I didn't know about the buzz cut or shaved style at that time. It's too late now. Good to see more men coping with it efficiently.
Cool video! Thanks for doing this! As a fellow balding dude I would say you have all 4 seasons there. I'm in Canada so #2 for Winter, wet shave with sunscreen for Summer and the other stages are transition in Spring and Fall. They all work for you honestly but I agree the wet shave is the most formal, clean and groomed look!
I buzz cut mine the other day after watching one of your transformation videos of a number of guys doing it the first time. Took a LONG time to do because I really just didn’t have the guts. Immediately after watching the video at midnight I did it. Shocker for everyone in the morning to say the least. Now I’ll explore buzz cut vs. wet shave. I’m curious.
You know you can fix your hair with transplant right? Not even kidding, you're the perfect candidate for one. It makes me wonder, why don't you want to do it for example in Turkey where it's cheap?
You're such a super handsome guy. Thank you for being such a good role model. Clean shaven really looks best on you. And so good to see you really happy again!
i think the electric shaver looks the best overall! for sure. the 0 guard still kinda showed the bald spots a bit more but the electric shave made it almost not noticeable like at all and there was hardly any different between the electric shave and the wet shave. looks and ease of shave, def electric
I was blessed with great hair genetics (so I’m not going bald anytime soon) but I still want to grow out a big beard and buzz cut my hair at some point. This video helped me decide that want a 2 on top and 1 on sides and back, thanks!
Having a shave head feels incredible. I have a lot of hair but one day I cut my hair and did a mistake and I shave it all off and ever since I have it shave and I love it I try to let it grow again a couple of times but I can't because I love the shave look😊
This is kind how my life went in a video... About 25ish noticed I was pretty thin so started with a number 2... Couple years later went to number 1 ... Now im 35 and use no guard still haven't been brave enough for a razor shave yet lol
I do the no guard on my special guy because he is balding on top just like this , he has been wanting me to razor shave him and after this video I think I will
I like how you just keep on smiling after the shaving process, the level of confidence just went up right away ! That honestly made my day
I noticed the same thing!! Reminds me of my process as well. Embrace being bald my friends!

At first I was like hey the guard 1 is alright.. The guard 0 instantly looked 100x better, and then it just kept improving from there.

@Rich T right just don't focus on shaving the head the beard is also sooooo distracting
@Rich T are you saying humans werent human before we invented razors?

I was blessed with great hair genetics (so I’m not going bald anytime soon) but I still want to grow out a big beard and buzz cut my hair at some point. This video helped me decide that want a 2 on top and 1 on sides and back, thanks!
They all looked good bro but you obviously love the razor so more power to you. Great vid 👌
You must feal so fresh and clean. Tomorrow morning it is my turn again to shave. Great vid.
I've just shaved my head down to number 1 and feel great 😄
You kept looking better and better :D (the zero guard was my favorite idk why )
Great video, man! Keep it up. Cheers from Sweden.
Size 1 looks great tbh
Having a shave head feels incredible. I have a lot of hair but one day I cut my hair and did a mistake and I shave it all off and ever since I have it shave and I love it I try to let it grow again a couple of times but I can't because I love the shave look😊
Think I’ll try the 9 week challenge if we can call it that , you rock the bold look BC thanks for the video
..well just stopping by, and i must say you are one handsome guy Mr Baldcafe... Do have a wonderful week ahead, bye
I love that you love your new shaved look. Virtual hugs.
Loved the two last machines!
This is kind how my life went in a video... About 25ish noticed I was pretty thin so started with a number 2... Couple years later went to number 1 ... Now im 35 and use no guard still haven't been brave enough for a razor shave yet lol
I do the no guard on my special guy because he is balding on top just like this , he has been wanting me to razor shave him and after this video I think I will
Wet shave all the way! Great video, thanks.
