I will be starting with a grade 2 buzz cut, followed by a grade 1 buzz cut, a grade Zero and then I will be using and electric head shaver. I will be finishing the balding to bald transformation with a wet razor shave.
I hope this video will be especially useful for anyone wanting to shave their head for the first time and might not be sure how short they want to go. Perhaps you have been shaving with a 1 guard and you are curious how a 0 or a wet shave might look. I hope you might also find this video useful. Enjoy! 👍

So true. The smile at the end of the wet shave says it all. Personally, I like the wet shave as well but love the feeling and the look the following day. But I shave first with the grain then against. Bald guys rock!

Your channel gave me another perspective about baldness, I discovered that I was balding in May and felt scared at first, cause I’m only 22 and I had a long curly hair. As a newly bald bloke, there's not many feelings as fulfilling than cleanly shaving your head. Feels unreal and confidence is instantly high. If you're nervous, just go for it. I prided myself on my hair, but when I shaved it I loved it. Everyone around me also told me it was as if I'd always been bald! Best decision I've made!
I watched a few of your videos and decided to take mine back to a zero. I’m in my mid 40’s but started thinning 5-6 years ago. I’m a metal / punk kind of guy so losing my hair was a big deal as it was a major part of my look. I also have dark hair and very white skin so it was a nightmare to hide. I’d been living with the patchiness for too long so last January I shaved it down to a 1. It was a bit of a shock and took me quite a few months to adjust, but as you’ve rightly pointed out, no-one else really gave a sh*t, some people didn’t even notice I’d shaved my head! I did that thing you do and grew it back for a month and it looked crap. When I saw your video this morning, it inspired me to go back to a zero. Losing your hair sucks, but you’re giving men such confidence and the benefit of your experience to not let it burden your life. Thanks. You’re doing a brilliant job and you’re advice has really helped.

Well done, brother! I’ve been shaving my head for 13-15 years now and love the look with a beard of any sort. It’s definitely not for everyone, but it’s clearly home base for some of us.
Awesome video! I think this will really help people decide what look to go for. I myself shaved my head in April to a grade 3, wasn't overly happy with it and grew it out. Shaved it using zero guard a couple of weeks ago and the difference it makes is crazy! It looks so much better and as you say it makes other features pop! I have been watching your videos for over a year now and they have helped so much! So a big thank you from me! and if anyone is still on the fence about shaving their head.. just do it :)
Hey Harry! Great video there, you just made me relive the feeling I had when I shaved my head for the first time 2 months ago. I felt bad about my hairline receding from the temples, it was not that bad but it made me feel down and my confidence was just at its lowest. Since I shaved it, I haven't looked back a single time, I feel SO much better now and all your videos just gave me the courage to do it in the first place. I could genuinely feel the relief at the end when you got back to shaved head.

Awesome video idea! It's not often you see people compare different buzz/shave styles like this. I think my favorites are the 1-guard and the full razor shave. Honestly your positive reaction at the end to being "clean" again made me really happy, and I think that actually made it look even better, compared to the stone-cold seriousness of the others. Goes to show how much your confidence and attitude towards yourself can affect how others perceive you! Keep doing what you do and thanks for putting yourself out there for us folically-challenged-folk.

Ive been blading my head for 17 years almost daily .Love the clean smooth look .
I find the grade 1 buzz cut best. The short hair complements the beard and gives substance to the overall look of your head, as opposed to the strong contrast look with head shaved. I get the harmonisation that comes along with shaving it all, but as a matter of fact you look young and healthy with a simple buzz. If you don't focus on the bald spots, which honestly don't bother, it is really a nice look which transpires confidence. Also, you do have quite some hair left in the front and it is a different look, so I would definitely enjoy them being there for some more time. There may come a time when this will not be an option, but you're definitely not there yet.

It's a free discussion and as a matter of fact your opinion on my opinion matters even less. I like his final look as well, I just prefer buzz 1, but maybe those nuances escape you.
I agree with you but lets phrase this a little better. Buzz 1 cut looks like he is a rough kind of guy with virility and confidence who knows he is balding but still can rock a hair full of follicules which compliment his beard and give his whole head including the beard, a darkish look. Guard 0 and wet shave, he looks like a light bulb, or a terminal cancer/alopecia patient and not healthy.
@@unassailable6138 Very nice rephrasing sir, couldn't agree more on the first part. That's exactly it. The chemotherapy head however is perhaps slightly harsh and while somehow accurate, I believe a natural tan will solve that issue. He's been rocking hair for the past 9 weeks, so the skin needs to adjust.
problem with it is that it lasts like 1 day. I know because I have the same type of balding at the moment. Its just much easier to shave it once ever 4 days to a week. Also the 1 guard wouldn't look as good in different lighting. Personally I like the clean shave

This video inspired me to shave off my beard for the first time after 9 years of being bald and bearded. I had forgotten what my own face looked like, and had really started to think the beard was the only thing holding my look together. I was dependent on it and horrified imagining myself without it. But after watching this video I put eye of the tiger from Rocky on, and while listening I shaved it all off. Bye bye beard. And now I can see my face again after all these years. It's so strange, I'm trying to adjust. But I feel...liberated. I'm still me and I feel free. Thank you for the inspiration. It's getting emotion in here haha

From when I was 19 till 22 I used to rock the grade 1/grade 2 buzzcut with a fade and a line up. I got a haircut every 2/3 weeks to maintain it. It looked nice but as my hair started to thin more and more it got to the point I needed to get a haircut every 5 days to maintain that look. And let me tell you, it was not worth it. I just shaved it all off at the start of this year and havent looked back since. It is way more of a bold and masculine look. It really makes a statement when you walk in a room. This also got me into the wet shaving hobby and I love it. I just turned 23 and I have finally completed the hairloss journey. I started using the RX5 after you reviewed it. Love it. I rarely use the razor as I have a few skin tags in the head. Keep up the nice videos 👍🏼

this video basically sums me up. from grade 9 to 3 to 1 to no guard. after that i switched to mach 3 and now im using a double edge safety razor. honestly this thing is the best. im not balding by any means but i love the feeling!

I just started keeping mine consistently short. My clippers include a 1/2 guard. My wife doesn't like the completely bald look on me, but I figure after a few months of weekly buzzing it with the 1/2 guard, I can work my way to her being comfortable with the 0 guard.

Guard 0 is the best out of them all, easiest to maintain, looks really well as you still have decent hairline left
Cool video! Thanks for doing this! As a fellow balding dude I would say you have all 4 seasons there. I'm in Canada so #2 for Winter, wet shave with sunscreen for Summer and the other stages are transition in Spring and Fall. They all work for you honestly but I agree the wet shave is the most formal, clean and groomed look!

In some ways I feel that someone is truly acceptance of their balding when they do what you've done and let it grow out without being self conscious.
@HopesUp My point isn't about what looks better though, it is about accepting the reality of your balding and being okay with it.

I've rocked a shaved head for several years throughout my life, and, now have long hair... I've noticed that people have something negative to say either way. I feel as though society wants us all to look the same, so I advise everyone to do what suits you. Whatever hair style you decide to go with, wear it with confidence, and others will fall in line. -- especially when it comes to strangers, they have no idea idea you just shaved your head for the first time. 😁

I'm glad you returned to the slick look--it's awesome. BTW, I'm surprised at the small difference between the electric razor shave and the manual razor. There is a difference, of course, but it is small.
The wet shave is obv the cleanest look but the 1 didn’t look bad at all. Like fr looked pretty good. You can def have the confidence now that letting the hair grow out a couple days extra is not gonna look bad. Great vid

I honestly liked the #1 buzz the most. I find that a completely shaved head looks kinda sterile and alien like, and it highlights any imperfections that you might have.
Harry doesn’t have a bad head shape, so the clean shaven look suits him.
