Best Hair Style for Male Hair Loss | Buzz Cut Tutorial | No Enhancements |

- What’s up people!
My guy Nathan has been looking for the best style to embrace his hair loss, without having to fully shave his head. As with many people with male pattern baldness, he still has a really strong hairline and we wanted a style to compliment that.
By taking the hair down to a #1, the hair loses some of it’s natural darkness - and this lighter colour helps it blend right into the less dense areas, making them much less obvious, whilst also having a nice, sharp front profile.
I hope you guys enjoy this video and find some value in it - massive appreciation to Nathan for allowing me to exploit his baldness in an attempt to gain some views for the channel.

Crazy how many views this has now, thanks for all the love in the comments and support on the channel. Nathan and I have tweaked this cut since filming this; and think we might have an even better version 👀 watch this space and sub to the channel if you haven’t already, Part 2 soon come
Great to have a barber who actually cares and loves their work.
Great job! The cut looks sharp. I'm sure Nathan loves your work.
He looks great. I'm way more gone than this and i've just buzzed my own hair myself with a Remington the last 10 or so years but i see your detailing does make a difference
Amazing work, man! I wish I could find a barber that could do something like this. Until then, I just use a 0 clip to shave my head every week or two.
Youre good to go with this cut if your hairline is still quite strong. It looks great on him. Sadly i went bald at the crown closely followed by the super receding hairline. But i do love being able to just shave my own head now. Great cut dude, your passion shows. You do so much for this mans confidence i imagine
I feel you bro, my hairline isn’t great but being able to quickly buzz/shave is an underrated luxury
Fair play to Nathan and also to you for making his haircut look really on-point! I think you did a stellar job and the razor work really adds that touch of class to the final outcome.
The wincing part made me smile but it’s nice to see you using products like the foam and spray to add you own, personal touch to the style.
Keep up the great work buddy!
Outstanding. I never thought you could do that much with it.
Nice but balding people ain't gonna come every 2-3 days to pay for cut, that's why we shave ourselwes.
Every two weeks seems to work out nicely for Nathan, but I appreciate everyone’s hair grows out differently
It's easy to buzz yourself, don't need to shave bald
Get a machine and do it your self.
Yep, shave every 2-3 days😅
Got a one shave, that sound for me, oh lads sun cream
i wish i could have a barber like you who actually cares the clients. Love your work!
Thanks so much!
We all suffer from the same issue, I paymy barber good money to do exactly what I ask and he do the opposite. So now I’m here trying to get myself right without shaving bald.
Great cut , the fade the line ups . Beautiful . I plan on getting this cut next . Ty sir
Thanks for your comment! Good idea, hope you like it!
Terrific job mate. Going to try and practice this cut on myself once a week
Thanks for the comment mate - and good luck cutting your own hair! 💈
Awesome hair style change.
Should try it soon :)
This is excellent, thanks! I do agree that this cut makes him look younger. Also, his hair loss isn't nearly as obvious this way. Cheers!
Thank you for taking the time to comment, and pleased you agree! I think the shorter look suits him, and really distracts from the thinning area
My ‘before’ right now looks like Nathan with the combover, this great vid might just give me the bottle to sort out my slap head in the same way, it looks good. Thanks
Great job man! You are an artist. He looks waaaaay better than before.
Thanks man, he scrubs up pretty well
my man saving lifes out there. good stuff, i will talk to my barber.
Appreciate that bro 🙏 hope it works for you man
Looks great, and it works well for him because he has a strong hairline. Only downside to this cut is he'll have to cut his hair like every week to keep it looking good. Not a bad thing for business though lol.
Artist.
Hair loss is depressing
Well done Lad 👏
Awesome... I've been self cutting my hair... I think I'll do it your way... Ultra short fade..
just looks like a normal, short ass hair cut! love it. you clearly care about your clients and your work. his smile at the end says it all lmao.
Thanks man! Appreciate the comment 🙏
An ass haircut?
@@reluctantheist5224 ass as a adjective of short, not of the hair. like damn youre one short ass motherfucker. its a short ass hair cut, not an ass short hair cut. 🤣
Great job, exactly the hair cut I was looking for. I was thinking of just shaving it all off, this seems a much better option.
You’re an amazing barber I see your passion and heart!🙏🏽🩵🙏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽
Thank you 🙏
Scalp Micropigmentation can definitely help improve his look and help camouflage the lack of hair.
Great video!
Thanks for commenting - I’ll have to let him know to look into it and see if he’s interested, a couple of people have mentioned that now
To each their own, but natural is the way to go
Brilliant job sir!
Thanks 🙏
Looks good, helps to have a barber this good, I have something similar going on good hairline in front, back not so much
Dope clean cut !!! I think a south side fade would be dope on him as well !!
Thanks bro! That’s definitely an idea we’ve been thinking of, I’ll upload it when we try it
Its got views because there is a lot of concern for men about hairloss...its good to hear from a professional the strategies for guys hair to help the appearance. Im loosing it on my crown like Nathan so its helpful to see. cheers. Make more videos with the word hairloss or balding and you'll get a ton of interest.
This is a great cut mate, I personally like to shave my head to a grade 0 as I have same balding at the back of my head.
Thanks Mike 🙏 I sometimes shave my head bald just cause I like the look and I’m not really balding (yet) - I’ve just not been lucky in the hairline department 🙃
For real makes him look almost 10 years younger. His solid hairline really helps out. Excellent job.
I agree, a hairline like that is worth keeping!
I need this barber😊😊
really clean cut that works for him for sure
I just shave my head every 7 to 10 days.... looks nearly the same as this and super quick and a lot cheaper.
Going bald is one thing I've never been bothered about.
You can't make hair healthy by cutting it lol. You can by having a good diet.
If you are destined to go bald, you will. Simple as that. If people judge you negatively for that, they are clearly not worth knowing surely?
Looks great. I do a grade 1 cut myself, but just all over, no fade.
Looks freaking amazing, I’m trying that myself!!
Let me know how it goes bro!
@@nohairline-barber1159 It turned out amazing. Especially for the first time!! Thanks!!
Lovely job!
Thanks Michael!
Great work!
It seems like an awful lot of work to avoid a headshave only to look like you still shave your head. Then with each passing day it grows out.
Each to their own I guess. I think it looks better on Nathan than a full shave, and it grows out pretty well. From the front you’d never know he was balding - but I understand your angle
Yeahh that's what I was thinking. I love the after pic but I know personally speaking, I'd have to visit the barber very frequently to keep this cut as a balding guy. It looks great though.
I agree it does seem a lot of extra hassle just to blend/hide the balding spot. I would buzz and maybe fade/blend near the thinner parts if it concerns. Good cut though buddy and yes it does suit
Yeah doing it all the time but I could see how it would be worth it for weddings or some bullshit occasion😕
looks great!
VERY talented barber, an artist! I sm yet ti find a barber like you!
Thanks Big Man! Appreciate the comment
Great job us baldies gotta stick together lol
Looks way better nice work
Good job i give myself this haircut every week
That was a great job
That looks really good bro, this guy is lucky in that he's not really receding, he's got diffuse thinning, could probably be fixed with meds..
nice cut!
Looks great!
Thanks for commenting, I’m pleased you agree!
night and day, awesome work!
Thank you! 🙏
Man that's dope.
Looks good, nice job
Thanks Philip!
Yeah looks good .Nice cut.
Chest hair and neck hair to head transplant for density looks great at short length like this, I got mine done recently in uk bosh
Where you get your castor oil foam from & what brand is it?
It looks right proper mate! Wish you could cut my hair here in the states
He's balding nicely, great cut!
He certainly is! Thank you 🙏
An awesome job! My problem is that it's almost impossible to find a good barber in my area that knows how to cut the hair on a bald guy like you do, so I've just been trying to cut my own hair....🤥
Respect for cutting your own hair, I really struggle doing my own but practice makes perfect (hopefully)! 💈
I might try that. My head is more round than his so I’m not sure it will look as good but I like it really short especially in the hot weather.
Looks good.
Great work good camouflage... only thing I would have done differently is avoiding the outlined hair line in his case keeping it natural could work in his favor... again well done in my 40 plus years in the business I've tried it all as the saying goes its not what you see it's what you think you're seeing bravo
Appreciate the comment and advice, thanks for commenting 🙏
Class cut I've sadly got the same crown as him
It’s a safe space here brother 🥲
looks great. The upkeep is got to be really often though.
I shave my head clean. I don't have a hairline anymore It's a horse shoe baldness, just very sparse hair on top.
Its the number one guard open or closed? Thank you bro for sharing us
He looks great
Nothing beats the cue Ball smoothness of a shaved head.
Works great.
Shout out to Nathan for being a good sport! Hit the subscribe button to follow my barbering journey! 💈
This is what I do, I do it myself at home. 100 percent agree with you that it looks way better than both shaved head and regular buzzcut.
Pleased you agree - and I’m impressed you cut your own hair! Thanks for commenting 💈
@@nohairline-barber1159 Its like mowing lawns for some people, only this lawn is getting shorter and shorter and there is less and less of it. But it's therapeutic and relaxing. I like it.
How do you fade it in yourself? Tough call, I've always gone 0.5 all over. Thinking of something different! I've got a bald crown the size of a helicopter landing pad. Help!!
Every barber I’ve ever gone to don’t seem to know how to (somehow) style a balding head. They ask “how do y’all want it?” I don’t know, shot, I guess. Now I just wear a skullet, that’s a mullet without the top hair. At least it’s free. Y’all get to an age where does it even matter anymore? Y’all seem to care about your clients, good on you. Wish I could find a barber and a doctor with your commitment. Y’all take care now.
Massive respect for the Skullet 👊🏻
great video lad
Thanks Fred 🙏
I will try this out today
Let me know how it goes!
Hey, it looks really good. How many mm are this on top of his hair?
Nice work..
That barber it’s having fun
Been shaving my own head since 21yo. Easy peasy. Wahl waterproof cordless clipper, no guard. In the shower Buzzzz done ✅
Ohhh, so I just need to set my trimmer to a lower setting to get this after look.
Hey, thanks for the video!
I do have a question:
I do my own buzz cut and I always have problems with the little dents on my skull. They aren't big but I can never get those patches to look the same as the rest of the head. It's always a bit longer and therefore darker shaded. My blades are a bit too wide to really get into the dent and even pulling the skin out of the dent onto a more even area doesn't seem to get the results.
Any tips on how to work with that?
Great video, new subscriber!
Thanks bro! 🙏
I need this haircut
Nice cut for someone with a little hair on top!
Hardest spot to figure out is back where the balding starts. Without good fading it could make the balding stick out. Always difficult to not make it look like they are wearing a yamaka
Do you go from open high to lowering? I’ve seen a lot of clips where they go from the bottom opening upwards and wondering if this technique is easier? Also what razor for the neck did you use there/recommend?
if it improves self confidence its a good thing.
He looks great with that haircut. Certainly beats a Van Morrison style combover!
The new style definitely works better! Thanks for the comment
No sorry bud. Razor is the only answer. I've been shaving my head every day for 25 years and it still feels great after every shave. The bonus is, you don't age. No grey hairs and a fresh look avery day.💪👍
On point ageless comment;
Nathan can shave perimeter of crown to prolong barber haircut/facial line up. This haircut is high maintenance. Aedin
For this video No Crown Barber more like :)
Great idea 👏 😂
Nathan got layed that very night.
😂😂
He does great haircuts but not miracles yet
Looks good😎😎👊🏼👊🏼🌞🌞
What kind of aftershave do you use?
Good point about taking it down to a 1 how it lightens the hair. Makes a big difference to us thinning guys aka baldy f**ks ; )
I’ve actually found taking the back higher and leaving the front corners with curve works better. Almost like an angled high and tight. Gives an extra week or 2 to clients.
Like a southside fade, kind of? We’ve been thinking of trying this, good to hear it works and thanks for the comment bro
@@nohairline-barber1159 closest video I could find quickly ua-cam.com/video/LgUQcbcdouk/v-deo.html
How do you deal with acne? Even when I use a 1mm or 2mm guard for my entire head, I get irritation, redness and acne the next day. I wash daily and try not to touch it but still happens every time.
Good work mate, comb over is a tragic look, this is the way to go.
I would love to have that much hair
Sounds great for you, he needs to go to you once a week now.
I recommend daily cuts for the best results
This is great for someone who’s partner is a barber or hairdresser,
It ain’t even about the cost, it’s about having to go barber’s every week or two😞
To be fair, Nathan comes so regularly for trims that he is essentially my partner at this point! Thanks for the comment Marcus!
Looks good but he still has a good hairline at the front. Mine is literally balding right in the middle of my fringe 😅
Blend a subtle bit of SMP through his crown area hair and this would look even more mint.
Would that be an issue if his crown area “spread” anymore? 🤔 thanks for the comment!
@@nohairline-barber1159 the SMP would be blended into his existing hair also to allow for this.
don't flip the clippers and make a line. just go from the bottom up to where you would put the line. This way you won't have to fight to remove a line at the end.
no line = no line to remove = better easy blend
Comfort and convenience . A self cut with your own clippers is cheap and easy. I tried shaving down to the wood didn't like it.
