Neil Peart a great man thanks for all the music RIP .
Nice thing the band styx did for Neil peart! May u R.I.P. NEIL!!
I don't know if it was meant to be, or the rest of the band was taking a break. But the empty drum set in the back....really hit home....and the tears came back....but in a good way. A wonderful tribute from another great band from my teenage years. Thank you Lawrence, thank you Styx.
RIP from one drummer brother to another....God speed Neil Peart, and prayers to your family including your two band brothers Geddy and Alex.
That hit me hard too.
Sucherman wrote about this too. "'Limelight' was played by Lawrence Gowan before 'Come Sail Away' last night in the round at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix. I was off stage down a hallway listening to this beautiful tribute. From my vantage point I couldn’t see Lawrence (as the stage was spinning). All I could see was my drum kit spinning alone in the center of the stage as this song played, and for me… it was a moment."
LONG LIFE FAN HERE
SINCE 1988 MY GRADESCHOOL DAYS.
You know when someone was a true ROCKSTAR when other Rockstar's look up to, and idolize them. Thank you Neil. You'll be with us, always. "I'm in motion... I am still... I am crying... I am still... I'm together... I'm apart... I'm forever... At the start.... Still, I am".
I have loved Rush as my all-time favorite band since I was a teen (52 now) but never realized just how respected they have been by musicians all this time. It hit home when they were inducted into the Hall of Fame and Dave Grohl was the presenter. He poked fun at them but it was easy to see that he was in awe of them. Total BS that it took so long for them to get in.
The writer stares with glassy eyes, defines the empty page, his beard is white his face lined and streaked with tears of rage, thirty years ago how the words would flow with passion and precision, but now his mind is dark and dulled by sickness and indecision , some of us are born to move the world in fantasy, but most of us just dream about the things we’d like to be, sadder still to watch it die than never to have known it, for you the blind who once could see , the bell tolls for thee. Neil Peart was a lyrical genius ,RIP and God speed.
Neil has left a huge sign in Music history
has left a sign in all of us.
the Maestro has left the Stage
Exit Stage Left
I saw Styx open for RUSH way back when...
Thank you for this tribute!
Regardless of one's profession, this is how humble, kindhearted & caring people are mourned when they leave us. A good man who just happened to be a rockstar. Rare indeed!
Heartbroken about Neil. May he rest in peace. Nice tribute
I love when the person up front and the rest of the crowd realize that he's singing "Limelight".
Nice job remembering the Greatest Drummer who ever lived.
That was beautiful. A fitting tribute from one great Canadian musician to another. RIP Neil and thank you.

My very first concert, Kingswood Music Theatre.
Ahhh damn....if the tribute to Limelight isn't enough to make you tear-up, then look at that empty drum set....Can't stop crying. God bless you Neil.
Glad you caught that... A genius classy move by the Styx camp. Much love!!
Nice Tribute... 👍
R.I.P Neil Peart 🙏✝️🕊️

Ive watched so many of these, i have no more tears left. RIP Neil you were my hero.
Class act. Thank you Lawrence Gowan and Styx for this tribute. RIP Neil.
I am so very sad about Neil's passing. Rush has been an instrumental part of my entire life. They have been entertainment and influential for me since Jr. High School (mid 70's). They are a part of my life to this very day. Neil Peart, Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee will ALWAYS be a part of my life. Thank you Neil for everything you have given me!!! .. I doubt you could fully understand the value. Thank you! .. God Bless !!
I was there it was EPIC,,, what a TRIBUTE!!!!!!!!! Hats off to Larry and the band.
