  • Back with another Evansville broadcast of CWA action. The Stud Stable celebrates the downfall of the Jarrett family, before Fuller's match vs. Ken Raper. The celebration continues post-match, including the beginning of the infamous watermelon angle with Bunkhouse Brown. The tension has already been building for weeks, but this is generally thought of as the beginning of the angle, hence the name.

    Another typical Saturday morning in Memphis. I dearly miss this show. It was the only show my brother, my dad and I would never miss. Moo moo buckaroo.

    Back in the WWF days I did not know about Tennessee wrestling but knew that Jeff Jarrett was a good guy.

    Geez, I had a neighbor years ago that was a carbon duplicate of Phil Hickerson. 💯

      He was an "everyman" type wrestler, that's for sure.

    "the watermelon angle with Fuller and Brown was
    risky back then but today with the BLM it definitely
    would not be popular and they would be in
    a lot of trouble....but it was a lot fun though."-😆🌐🖥🍺🇺🇲..

    He might only be known for one roll, but Lance Russel is one of the greatest actors in the history of Memphis.

    7:21 did Fuller take a whack at him or did Raper headbutt his fist?

    Robert Fuller is the greatest personality in wrestling history. I'll take him over anyone for pure entertainment value.

      It should actually be a Southern stereotype, along with dipping chewing Tobacco, boiled peanuts, etc. Watermelon was a delicacy that anyone could afford to grow or buy trade off. Same as chickens, easy to raise and you can eat them or their eggs but southerners thought Blacks should have it

      Yes, she was very damned HOTTT especially in her tights with her purty ass hanging out. I'd bet Robert reamed the sweet pie hole out but good through. He supposedly had a monster root!

    Very racist angle

    • @TraderJack641
      @TraderJack641  Рік тому

      Yep, a classic pro wrestling angle! I wish our society wasn't so sensitive so we could see more like it today, as it would sure add to the stale presentations we get in sports entertainment. Of course, it would be ideal to see people in every group being the focus.

    • @Blacattacsquadron
      @Blacattacsquadron Місяць тому

      @@TraderJack641society didn't like those angles back then. Many fans from different promotions would scream racial epithets but if you check the history those angles would get those dudes stabbed and shot at.

    • @TraderJack641
      @TraderJack641  Місяць тому

      @@Blacattacsquadron sounds more like the heels did a nice job of working the crowd. That’s another aspect of pro wrestling that’s sadly far too rare today.
