8:37 I believe this is meant to reference Close Encounters of the Third Kind where they used music to communicate with the aliens. Also, love the Peter Griffin dancing gag!
I feel like Monger is meant to be a deconstruction of the General Ripper archetype since there was even unused footage in which he was not pleased to hear that the president planned to take back his offer for the monsters' freedom to save face
I always had a sweetspot of the movie, the Monster Squad is such a mood. The President always reminded me of these Mad Magazine drawings, but he is the only one who is so extreme which makes him always hella uncanny. Anyway my favorite Joke of the movie has always been about the Invisible man who sat in the corner and died but Bob never noticed cause the guy was invisible.
Don't care what anyone says, the movie has a good message and it was pretty new for its time for the hero(ine) not to get with anyone and it being treated as not a bad thing.
When I was little kid I loved this movie and was watching non-stop on my grandma's DVD player. But as I entered my teen years and I started going through my cynical and edgy phase I thought it was just mediocre and not even worth my time. Re-watching it recently though, it's a lot funnier then I remember, and the good jokes and likable characters really make up for the admittedly half-baked story.
Sure DreamWorks didn't hire the animators who worked on The Ant Bully after being DNA Productions got shutdown. Because Both human designs from both movies looks equally horrible and creepy than the insects and monsters.
I had a lot of fun watching this movie as kid, I was still 6 years old when this movie first came out, while I didn't see this film in the cinema to experience it in 3D, but I did remember renting this several times growing up.
This was strangely the most expensive film DreamWorks as made it had a 175 million dollar budget and was difficult to animate which is why it never had a sequel
This Movie Underrated and Great and even my Youngest Sibling said it their Favorite Dreamworks Movie and loved it so much their replay it on Netflix before it was removed in September
"Don't think of this as a prison. Think of it as a hotel you never leave because it's locked from the outside." Call things what they are; give it to somebody straight. I don't believe in sugarcoating.
I also read a crossover fanfic with Megamind. Despite what you may think, they actually managed to combine the two quite nicely, keeping with the comedic tone of both.
I really love Monsters vs Aliens, it's been my favorite DreamWorks movie since I was a kid. And to me, Team Monster were the only DreamWorks characters I consider them as siblings.
I always liked the movie as a kid (even now), but something about the animation didn't seem right, I think it was the realistic textures on cartoony humans
I do have a soft spot for Monsters VS Aliens. It's got a great cast, fun characters and crazy action. The animation is decent too, but after 15 years... it does look a bit off... at least in the human characters. I'm honestly surprised it didn't go further than the Nickelodeon TV show or the Halloween specials. But then again, there's only so much you could do with Monsters VS Aliens... I'm still glad it exists.
I’m not sure if you might, but since it’s getting close to Halloween, I’d like to see your take on these two movies. Monster House: a 2006 Motion Capture animated movie which was produced by Columbia Pictures, ImageMovers, and Amblin Entertainment. The movie features the owners of the latter two companies, Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg, as executive producers. Goosebumps: a 2015 horror-comedy film based on the Scholastic Goosebumps book series by R.L. Stine. Another Columbia Pictures production, this one was made by Sony Pictures Animation, Village Roadshow Pictures, Original Film, and Scholastic Entertainment Inc. Rob Letterman, one of the two directors for this movie, also directed this film.
May I suggest a review of Disney's The Little Mermaid 1989 (or the 2023 live action remake so we can look back at it and talk about why it was another one of Disney's live action misfires).
When this movie came out, it kinda slipped under my radar. I was into other franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter and LOTR🧝♂️. Looking at it now, I gotta say it's not good, but it's not bad either. Honestly it's a good turn off your brain kinda movie.👍 Also screw Derek😠 I know guys that love "BIG" women, that would treat her like a Godess.❤ Hay, some guys are into that stuff(step on me big mommy)😳🤣
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is among my favorite movies. I do find Monsters vs Aliens underrated. There is people I know that regardless if they like or dislike movie, that they had a thing for Ginormica and/or giant women in general. Ginormica does have pretty big feet.

He beat me too it while I was watching it
Kinda cool that it was the first Dreamworks movie to ever use 3D
I feel like Monger is meant to be a deconstruction of the General Ripper archetype since there was even unused footage in which he was not pleased to hear that the president planned to take back his offer for the monsters' freedom to save face
I watched as a Kid the Monster vs Aliens TV Show that was on Nickelodeon.
I think Galaxar is the one who destroyed Megaminds planet.
@@user-kf8uh3ug7mShhh, keep it down we don’t want that info getting back to Dreamworks. I don’t want a Megamind rules season 3.
@@user-kf8uh3ug7mfan theory much?
What did you think of the TV show?

a true Feminist movie.
Back then and even right now, I prefer Monsters vs Aliens and Ginormica’s character over a lot of more recent movies and their lead character(s).
I think Dreamworks movie in 2010 about subverting tropes better imo would be Megamind.

Personally one of My Favourite Dreamworks Films! :D
I love Monsters vs Aliens!! I like Susan
I remember seeing this movie in 3-D back when it was first released 15 years ago.
I definitely enjoyed Monsters vs. Aliens, with Ginormica being my favorite character.
Same here
Mine too

I thought Ginormica looked cute.
This movie is my childhood i still keep a dvd copy in my room😊

1:48 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Your response to this 3D effect is really funny.

Happy 15th Anniversary to Monsters vs Aliens One of DreamWorks’s Most Underrated Films 👩🏻🦳🔵🐊🪳🐞👽
This is one of the movies I usually watch during the Halloween season.

This movie is very meh. Not a big fan of it. Its not horrible but also not a masterpiece. But that's just my opinion. Ok?
Ok
It’s all good.

Interesting look for sure.

I remembered this movie. I watched it at the young age of 3 at an outdoor screening on a Navy base of all places.

Ginormica is my favorite character and aspect from Monsters vs Aliens.
8:44 I was howling with laughter.
My favorite character is susan
This was my favorite movie
Ok Media Hunter, Dr. Cockroach, Link, and Bob is look like Manny, Diego and Sid from Ice Age.
I have a soft spot for this movie.
Too bad the hot Buffalo bites didn't give heartburn so I won't force myself to watch movie review right but an okay animated movie nevertheless
Who else wants a marvel or dc fusion version of this?
Did you just reference Brandon Tenold by using the DECAPITATION gag?
Friggin loved this one when it came out. Holds up well ecspecially if you grew up a sci fi/horror nerd
This is another movie I haven't watched in awhile, I agree it's enjoyable, but you can tell that the CGI did not age well.
I saw this movie in theaters with my mom.
Now review Sausage Party. You did Meet The Feebles so what could be worse?

I honestly dont like this film. Not as good as other filmsby dream works.
Unnecessary comment.
